Leonardo DiCaprio Is Allegedly Dating A 19 Y.O. Model, And Netizens Are Roasting Him With Memes (35 Posts)
At first we thought it was a joke, but the pattern kept repeating itself over and over again. We realized that it was a rule, it became a law like Newton’s Law.
We could call the new phenomenon the Leonardo DiCaprio Law, which essentially tells you not to date anyone over 25 no matter how old you are yourself. It also requires breaking up with the person around their 25th birthday, so if you want to stay with them for longer, it’s best to find someone who is the youngest legal option possible.
Because that is how the Hollywood star seems to function. He was spotted spending time with 19-year-old model Eden Polani at a music release party in Los Angeles for Ebony Riley's EP.
It is important to say that neither Leonardo nor Eden denied or confirmed their relationship, so it’s all just speculation for now, but it wouldn’t be the first time when a celebrity couple were spotted together just to announce their relationship later.

Despite it being rumors, it didn’t stop the internet from running with it and creating memes, jokes and expressing opinions about it. And the opinion is that it’s wrong.
Romantics would say that age is just a number and it doesn’t matter for love, but realists believe that DiCaprio purposefully targets younger women and don’t approve of that.

I have a bit of a 'meh' attitude when it comes to this type of thing. If a guy wants to be a 50 year old club boy his whole life...I don't care. That's his life. She's an adult. Yes she 19 and it's creepy and gross but he's not an extraordinary person-he's an aging actor with a beer gut. So she's with him to further her career and get photographed or wants to enjoy his money for a while-and that's her life. But I'm not going to treat her like a victim when there are real victims out there. If she wants to get used by some old guy as the flavor of the month because she gets 5 minutes of fame and advances her career or just wants attention, that's her choice. As long as it's legal and consensual...whatever. I have more of an issue with this telling young girls if you're pretty you can go 'yachting' with Leo and get your picture taken and become famous. Sorry that your life has led you to being a willing sex object but I hope you realize you are worth more than that.

While 19 is legally an adult, most people don’t consider it an adult. You can’t drink, you can’t rent a car, you can’t go into clubs and her brain isn’t even fully developed so she’s not logical enough to make adult decisions. She just got out of high school, she still looks like a child. She’s young and ignorant when it comes to the real world. She probably doesn’t see the harm in dating a guy 30 years older than her because she’s just happy to be wanted.

Jim Jefferies the comedian tells this gross story about an experience he had doing a private show for Mariah Carey where Pacino, Warren Beatty and Leo were in attendance, and the way they treated/talked about women at the party was so...it just made me realize how easily men with money can get away with whatever they want. No one said anything. All of these people in hollywood who come out and talk about how horrible certain things are for women and yet no one calls these guys out on anything they do or the way they behave and that's why they keep getting away with it. I'm pretty convinced that if a millionaire actor/director wanted to have a naked 7-year-old in a leash on his lap during the whole time filming, no one would say anything for fear of losing a job. And then when it came out a those same people would suddenly have a bunch of righteous indignation about it. It's allowed. That's why it happens. Harvey Weinstein was allowed to behave the way he did.

That made people think that the two of them must be dating, because it sometimes happens that if a single celebrity is spotted spending time with someone who might possibly be a love interest, it can turn out to be true and be sort of an introduction to their relationship.
We might not know if this is the case until DiCaprio or Polani announce it officially, but unofficially, there were already statements given.

Various websites that specialize in pop culture and celebrity life like TMZ, People, Page Six and others report that a source close to Leo told them people are assuming something that is not true and not every woman the actor is seen next to is his new girlfriend.

People were actually very surprised when it surfaced that the actor might be dating Gigi Hadid as a photo showed them at a New York Fashion Week party at Casa Cipriani in September, and were almost proud of him because the model is 26 years old, but it was never confirmed.
The man was also spotted with 23-year-old actress Victoria Lamas when they were leaving The Birds Streets Club in West Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard. They left separately, but got into the same car, so people assumed there was a relationship blooming.
Their suspicions were denied by the woman’s dad, who told the public, “She's fond of him, obviously. But they're not dating, and she does not want that out there because that would be really bad. It'd be embarrassing for her if he should happen to read something that said that they're dating and they're not."

I remember there were people on reddit who just responded to this with "she's legally an adult! it's not creepy! she can make her own decisions!!", as if the LEGALITY of it was the thing with which most people took issue. A quick rule of thumb- not everything that's legal is morally right, and not everything that's morally right is legal.

However she is a small time model, like a lot of Leo's former GF's, who then get bigger gigs after dating him. It seems like a very creepy business arrangement, he dates a barely legal model, and they get the professional connections and hook ups they need to get bigger gigs. It's creepy, but I can see why she is interested in it.

I completely agree with not dating someone more than 10 years difference. I do have one friend who is dating a man 7 years older and he gets shamed from some people. There is nothing wrong with an age gap as long as it is not too extreme and both people are on board with it, and I hope people realize that too.

Dear Mr. DiCaprio. If you've been dating younger women in order to try some Dorian Grey type of thing, it's my sad duty to tell you that it ain't working. I mean, not at all. And if you're considering the old fashioned way - bathing in the blood of young virgins - remember you're in southern Cailfornia and you probably won't be able to manage even a sponge bath. Maybe the local lady cougars club will let you form some sort of male auxiliary. Or move to Florida and search for the Fountain of Youth. At least there you won't be the most embarrassing has-been in the state.
