A picture is worth a thousand words... At least that's exactly how people feel when seeing illustrations by a mysterious Japanese artist Avogado6.
The illustrator and video editor don't share many personal details about his life. "I am an ordinary person who likes chemistry," he writes on his Twitter profile, but the meaningful drawings of the artist are far from ordinary.
Avogado6 manages to create sentimental, vivid images by drawing feelings and emotions that might seem hard to describe with words. And sometimes his sad drawings don't really need an explanation, as they convey the emotions so well, often hiding a harsh social issue behind them.
The artist has more than 650k followers on Twitter and has published two books. And his success is sure to grow bigger with time, as this Japanese art maestro delivers new deep meaning illustrations very often, deciphering problems with society and our inner fears better with each one.

Look at the shadow... it seems that his own chipped parts are casting that chipping shadow. Maby it meens that we are our greatest enemies. I know that I can be great... as long as I trust myself. On other hand, when I am insecure, I am dumb as hell 😉😎
This illustration is more poetic than much of the artwork that is out there today.
Hoping for the parents you never had. Wanting a complete family...
Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking off her clothes
Darkness will clnsume you even if you're grasping at your last bit of light.
Be patient when helping someone who's struggling to adapt. (There's enough yarn)
I may be looking way too deep into these but heres what i thought: The flower could be repesenting love and the picking of the petals could be playing on that whole "he loves me, he loves me not" rhyme sooo it could be representing a broken heart and the more times the person's heart was broken the more desensitised the person became, leading on to become a doll which is made of plastic and emotionless...?
there are multiple doors waiting to be opened by you in this tree of life
The night owl. Or insomnia, depending on how early you have to get up in the morning.
People are slowly chipping away at you, then they leave behind you and their tools of distruction
This is kind of what depression is like.. you try to stop crying but there isn’t really a reason for it., it makes sense to me
there is a plethora of emotions trying to burst out but you bottle them up inside a cage
this reminded me of the book "The Kite Runner", pomegranates are a symbol of life
I believe this shows how our constant destruction of others will only lead to our own destruction.
When we see the ballerina dance, we only see the beauty and gracefulness of her dance. We never thought of the harships she had gone through to perfect her moves. The anching feet for one. Beauty comes with a price.
Life is a choice. There’s an easy way out (exit door on the right). To end it once and for all(the noose). Or the journey may be long and high, but it’s the light at the end.
sometimes fruit, stains all my brand new white s**t.

I see this like natural light that wants attention from the person getting comfort from the artificial light of the TV and the cell phone.
Poppies are opiates. This could be the unwell person contained but not cured underneath medication
Low of oxygen... That's exactly how I described it during my previous period of depression. I could breathe just fine but the air was suddenly low on O2.
This actually references jiang shi (chinese zombie/vampire), which are corpses reanimated by a talisman on their forehead. It is said that these corpses were reanimated when they needed to transport bodies, as jiang shi can move by hopping (their dead bodies are too stiff to move normally). To me, this image is a play on jiang shi, with money instead of a talisman that causes the person to mindlessly act, much like the jiang shi themselves.
Falling down, feeling like drowning and everyone around you walk just fine.
Someone who you care about turns into just a memory and you try to nourish it, but it will eventually die.
I believe those are tuning forks on their heads. Seems to be a comment on the pressure for every person to be the same "to sing the same tune" if you will.
死ね、消え mean (tell someone)to die, to disappear. 馬鹿 mean stupid or fool. ウザイ mean annoying. All these are curse words in Japanese. It's mean he never say these words.
When the people in your life make it all about themselves except they manage a small scrap for you
Child is just used, like a domestic object with no regard for their humanity or individuality.
So that's how they make bottled water so good, it's mermaid's tears!
We play this game every week to look forward to Sunday. If fail, Sunday won't come and will working all week. (だるま落とし is a traditional game in Japan. Kick out all these blocks below the red block.)
S**t these are deep. They're also beautiful, even tho I feel sad that I can (or used to be able to) relate to them. Stay strong peeps. You will find happiness. I promise.
Thanks for saying we will find happiness But sometimes, no matter hiw far we go, we might not achieve our goal(for me, happiness) and we just go on, never reaching our goal no mwtter how much we try.
Load More Replies...Dang. Depression summed up very well in these pics. I admire this artist
I agree with your first part. He suffers from some serious depression, if he views the world like this. But having had to overcome my clinical depression, I don't admire this at all. Just thinking about this is depressing as all get-out. :(
Load More Replies...Depression sucks as hell but I'm glad he can relieve it, at least partly, by making and sharing these pictures. I wish I could hug the artist... (-:
I love reading all of the other interpretations on these drawings. We are all looking at the same picture but see different things based on our own unique life experiences and perspectives. Very interesting.
I feel very sad for people that suffer like this, more so because my life has been a playgound, I've had so much enjoyment, fun, met some of the best people, and its all due due to blessings, karma, or just plain luck, undeservedly so.
There are stunning. Very well done and so accurate, I can speak from experience. I strongly believe that everyone has a path in life, and no one's is the same. However your life is going, there is a reason for it, and even if it may not seem like it, good things are possible. So never stop dreaming, never stop hoping, never stop living.
This post made me cry. It's heartbreaking to me that some people actually feel this way. I hope happiness is around the corner for all of you!
I loved this. Author is insanely talented .. all those ideas he/she came up with. Some of the pictures made me really think a lot.
Most of them described what depressions are like. For someone who have been there, i completely understand
Heavy stuff. To me they're more introspective than depression oriented. Point of view I guess. Either way he's a talented person who deserves a close and thoughtful look.
These are depressing as hell. There's something wrong with this guy's mind.
I agree. Maybe we don't understand what it's like to have depression
Load More Replies...I felt the same as the every pic there is. Unfortunately for me, i am battling my inner by my own. Cause my partner and families think i am faking it and overreacting. Its hurt to feel alone and lonely and s****y like this.
I love all the pictures. They are lonely and beautiful at the same time, I love this art.
Amazing...Japanese people are amazing...I hope I`ll be born in Japan in next life :)
You are very talented and I am sitting here at my desk in work thinking, yes time is passing me by, I am overworked and my batteries are just dead - thank you for posting xxxxx
If wasn't feeling suicidal after looking at these pictures I do now. I'd better not look any further or I might not be able to resist the temptation of jumping off a cliff.
"Powerful Illustrations By Japanese Artist" MAYBE THE ARTIST HAS A NAME THAT YOU WOULD CARE TO USE IN A HEADLINE!
I loved these, so artistic, so full of depth and feeling and longing and the human condition. I felt I could really relate.
I like that there are no titles. Makes you think in more than one direction. Thank you!
The comments on the individual pictures are mostly inane, obvious, and annoying AF.
All of these are a proof that picture says a thousand words. Beautiful, deep, powerful. And I love how on some of them, everyone is having their own different view, showing how unique we all are.
I connected way too strongly with these. Depression, anxiety, overwprked, feeling like your drowning and your life if being wasted away . intense
Tragedy can lead to depression. Obviously these pictures' message didn't resonate with YOU, but they still have a lot to say to other people.
