Everyone knows that the divorce rate is almost 50%, but most folks don’t know that the breakup rate is also equally high. This is typically the case in casual relationships or in cases where both folks have only been together for a short time. What’s surprising is that women tend to initiate breakups nearly twice as often as men.
What’s even more shocking to note is that approximately 70% of straight unmarried people in relationships break up within their first year. This is probably because it takes a while to get to know the other person, and in that time, they may realize what they like or don’t like about them.

It's natural to feel helpless and upset as breakups are a lot like a death: all your plans and dreams vanish. Anger is a big part of this, especially if it's a betrayal."
He added that "they want a quick way to feel better and find their power again, so lashing out can appear to be the solution. In reality, revenge doesn't help as you are focusing on the breakup rather than the healing process."

As hilarious as some of these stories seem, it’s clear that many of the folks on this list were hurting after their breakup. With no constructive way to deal with their feelings, they decided to lash out at the other person. It probably didn’t lead to much satisfaction, but hopefully they’ve healed from the hurt now.
James shared that “if possible, the best thing is to have a proper conversation with your ex. It’s often the confusion caused by the sudden shock or lack of closure that builds into resentment. Communication can help you process what’s happened in a calm way.”
“If you can’t do this, then write a letter expressing everything you feel. Every pain point, every disappointment, and let out all your emotions. Then, at the end, tell them you forgive them. This is the hardest section to do, but you need to release this in order to move on. The secret is not to send it, but to make a big deal about burning it and setting it free,” he added.

I took every lighter so he couldnt smoke when he got home every pair of ear buds and I took every charger cord. 3 things I knew would irritate the hell out of him. more than 3 yrs later and I still use the ear buds daily.

I had an ex (I was the one who messed up and self destructed our reltionship, young and didnt know i had a good thing) who left me with a bent butter knife, a fork with one tine, took all the knobs in the kitchen, even the stove lol, ripped all the labels off the can good (oof surprises after surprises lol) shook every carbonated drink, poured hot water into my instant coffee (i need my specific brand, or else i go thru withdraws, yes im addicted to caffeine, i particularly like this get back lol, good on her tbh) and every single light bulb in the house, oh and turned the fridge to max so everything in it would freeze (didnt have much in there), and the best one that i loved, she took one shoe lace from every shoe lol. Yeah i upset her. But 30 years later we are the best of friends

I think, in most cases, it is best to close the door behind oneself and never look back. The time and energy spent on revenge could be used to enjoy oneself, or to seek out new, healthier experiences.

In fact, success rates for FIRST marriages are close to 70%, and even higher for couples who possess certain good qualities like financial stability and education. The 50% failure rate only comes about because second and third marriages have significantly high divorce rates (65% and 75% respectively) and that pulls the "average" divorce rate up. People who live together without marrying have an 80% break-up rate. So bottom line, if you're entering a first marriage, your chances of growing old together are 70-80%--beating out all other options for longevity. So go ahead and propose!

Ok, there is a HUGE difference between imaging some petty revenge and taking actions. You make yourself look like a psycho and it's outright super childish to take revenge after a breakup. Do these people have no pride?
