“That Salt Sprinkling Prick”: 45 Celebs That Refused To Let Go Of Their 15 Minutes Of Fame
Interview With ExpertFame is a polarizing topic. Some people wouldn’t want to touch it even with a 10-foot pole. Meanwhile, others aspire to it and would do nearly anything to be in the spotlight for just a while longer. This leads to a bizarre situation where individuals who might have no real ‘call to fame’ or conventional talents end up becoming actual celebrities.
Redditor u/TonyClifton323 sparked an interesting discussion about the people who “most successfully milked” their 15 minutes of fame to entrench their reputations as ‘stars’ for a long time. Scroll down to see what celebs many internet users personally think seized the opportunity best, even if they might not 'deserve' all the attention.
Mike Sington, an entertainment, pop culture, and lifestyle expert, was kind enough to share his thoughts about fame with Bored Panda. You'll find his insights on how to have a healthy relationship with fame, plus why some people don't think everyone 'deserves' attention, as you read on.

Kim Kardashian. OJ's lawyer's daughter f****d a C list rapper and now her family is worth a billion dollars.
Hate them or love them, they know how to market themselves and they do it well
She was in Paris Hilton's entourage before the tape. They've been friends since they were toddlers and she was often seen and talked about on The Simple Life. And yes, then she boinked Ray J and blew up. And can anyone, for the love of god tell me how I know all this because I have never watch one (1) episode of either Hilton's or Kardashian's show in my life. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And now I know it too, despite also not watching one episode either show!
Load More Replies...And this is what happens when you get your deal with the devil exactly right
What whaaaat? I didn’t know this…Welp new useless info my one brain cell has to file
There isn't anything about this entire family that is earth shatteringly interesting or special. They're all just one big joke. Bumping uglies with celebrities doesn't make you a celebrity by default. I'll never understand the fascination with that bunch of dummies.
her family is just people she works with and her job is being popular and s**t
kris, the mom, WATCHED her daughters sex tapes! why? because this was after the paris hilton sex tape came out and kris saw dollars. she watched her daughter have sex to see which tape was the most marketable. and she has been wh--ing out ALL of her daughters for money ever since. hell, she allowed a 27 year old married man with a kid to band her underag daughter because she knew it would bring attention to the family.
That salt sprinkling prick
So he’s good at…sprinkling salt? Well I have a job for him! Come sprinkle salt in my driveway, we have snow coming…
He opened a bunch of really crappy over expensive restaurants cuz of his fame, and I’ve heard he’s just generally a douche
Load More Replies...People were willing to pay exorbitant prices for steak only to have this greasy Robert Downey Jr. lookalike sprinkle salt on them. Whose fault is it, anyway?
And after the salt had bounced off his forearm. No thanks.
Load More Replies...It's funny, though, that for myself, I had never hear of him until I saw the movie Glass (2019 directed by M Night Shyamalan). There's a guy in the beginning of the movie who goes around knocking passerbys out, punching them in the face, saying "I'm gonna Salt Bae your a$$". Then the hero's son has to explain what that means. The hero (Bruce Willis) has the perfect comeback: "That's it? He just salts meat?" *huge 🙄*
Looks like he just scratched his head and hasn't been using the right shampoo...
I’ve only seen photos of him doing this same thing, so it’s all I really know about him. It’s hard not to think he’s a douchbag.
If I had known that sprinkling salt makes you famous I'd of done it myself. Not knocking folks with metal disabilities but dude definitely got something wired wrong upstairs.
Dr. Phil
In 1995, Oprah Winfrey hired Phil McGraw's legal consulting firm to prepare for the Amarillo Texas beef trial. Winfrey was so impressed with him that she thanked him for her victory in that case, which ended in 1998. Soon after, she invited him to appear on her show, which turned into a recurring segment. He turned that into his own show and now 25 years in the spotlight.
He kills me, he's turned into Jerry Springer practically. BUT he did give me one piece of good parenting advice. I was waiting to get a strep test at urgent care and whatever channel the mandatory corner TV was on had Dr. Phil on at the time. I felt like c**p so I mostly tuned it out but I heard one line that stuck with me as a far-too-young mother of 2; something like "as a parent, you're not raising children, you're raising adults. You want to prepare them to get along without you. That's the point." (Not verbatim, my memorys c**p too) I remember physically feeling my perspective shift.
I recall that liner, too. That's how my mom raised me and has nagged me to do with my kid, using different words and context. She basically wants me to live as if she isn't around anymore. It works well for developmentally normal kids. But when you have a child who is developmentally delayed/intellectually disabled, that line is a smack in the face. I have come to accept that it's going to take my daughter a few more years than typical for her to be able to live on her own. However, the more I think about it, the more I realize I have to be careful not to coddle her disability, and help her overcome her challenges.
Load More Replies...He is an evil person. He did a show in which all of his guests were in very early recovery from alcoholism. He instructed his underlings to fill the green room with booze, in the hope that one of them would relapse… because that would make good television. Guess what happened. That’s the act of a completely despicable human being.
I never forget it was Oprah who brought him along. That and her coverage of Harry and Megan has made me look at her differently.
I never liked Oprah and couldn't figure out how she could support a fake.
Load More Replies...A woo woo peddling BS artist. It's wonder he hasn't scammed his way into a prison cell yet.
May I add Gayle King to this? I know it's a bit irrational, but I can't stand her. And I firmly believe she got where she is only because she's Oprah's best friend.
Enough...already!!! ( is Oprah's other protégé, Dr. Oz on this list???)
I've heard better advice from the back of cereal boxes. I'm truly amazed he hasn't had the ugly knocked off him because of the things he's said straight to people's faces. His over inflated ego at some point will write a check his a*s won't be able to cash.
My mom tried to give me ADHD advice for me and my kid from a thing she heard on Dr Phil. She prefaced it with "I know he's not a real doctor, and you don't like him but-" He's a trash human being that traumatizes childern already struggling with behaviour issues.
Entertainment and pop culture expert Sington was happy to share his thoughts on how people can forge a healthy relationship with fame. According to Hollywood's Ultimate Insider, the fundamental thing is to find and maintain a balance between public recognition and one's personal wellbeing. This will help the person keep their sense of self intact.
According to the expert, "being true to oneself despite public attention" is paramount. Aside from being authentic, it's also vital to establish some healthy boundaries. These need to clearly separate your public and private life.
Sington told Bored Panda that celebrities can also use their fame “as a platform for positive influence or by contributing to meaningful causes.” So stars should think about what kind of greater purpose all the attention that they're getting can be used to help.
Alllllll the MTV Teen Moms
Yeah...MTV turned bad decisions into cash cows for more cows to procreate
Are you also calling the males that impregnated them some type of animal name? Also your comment doesn’t match the statistics, because teen pregnancy was at a decline and continues to be at a decline, regardless of that show. If you have any balls, go insult the male pigs that impregnate teen girls. Statistically, children are expensive, so can you imagine the reality of a teen girl who has a baby, who has an offer by a shoe to give her money that can make her pay the bills for both her and her child without relying so much on her parents? The show isn’t about the males that impregnated them, because the girl is the one who is MAN enough to both handle her schooling and take care of the child usually. So the males aren’t losing sleep from taking care of a child nor really worrying about the child’s necessities being afforded to them or not.
Load More Replies...What happened to MTV where their only programming has become that and shows about catfishing? I don't understand.
Actual music videos would be nice or even just a documentary that has something to do with music.
Load More Replies...The only few I liked were the ones who actually stayed classy and grew from where they started. Chelsea with Aubrey, for one. I watched up until about 5 years ago. I don't know if these shows are still going, or if the original 2 spin-offs are still going. When the kids got older, nearing their teens, the producers wanted to put more focus on their puberty and developments. As such with Amber helping her daughter shave her legs for the first time. That s**t should've never been considered being mentioned, let alone filmed, in the bathroom. C'mon. The most down to earth, responsible, stable-homed teen moms on 16 and Pregnant weren't asked to be included in the Teen Mom spin-offs, I heard in youtube videos put out by old casts. There's a lot of s**t that I've been hearing goes on behind the scenes. They will egg fights between the teen parents, encourage the dads to not come around or film them at their worst moments. Even when the moms got married, owned homes, they were still deemed
teen moms and lectured about birth control if they got pregnant again. "You do know how that happens, right?" Hearing that condescending, sarcastic question every season.
Load More Replies...And they're all doing so well now... which one just had their teenager taken by CPS?
That was Janelle's son, Jace. I thought he was still living with his Grandma. She raised him much of his life, but he's been running away from home. So, CPS took him.
Load More Replies...Mtv raised a whole generation believing that being a teen mom or a drunken idiot could make you rich and famous.
Russell Brand. SO sick of that h****n addicted twit.
I have no memory of this person, probably a good thing by your comment…
Load More Replies...To be fair, he's a *former* stabby drug addicted twit. He's such an arrogant tool, substance abuse or not.
And also perpetuating harmful conspiracy theories to the people who still follow him
Load More Replies...I actually liked him in some movies. Never knew he spreads misinformation. To be fair: he has done a bit more to be remembered than for example the salt sprinkling prick.
I feel like he got away with a lot of bs because of the accent. It's like a damn cheat code.
Jon and Kate Gosselin.
Only famous because she had a lot of babies and then verbally abused her husband on camera for years.
The kids were adorable, but they should have had 1 television special, saved that money for kids' college funds or whatever and then disappeared.
Notice how the women who are referred to as 'Karen' are never actually named Karen? They literally give real Karen's a bad name.
Kate was obviously evil and exploiting her kids. Jon wanted out and TLC and kate divorced him because of it.
Like most on this list (so far) they are only famous because they turned their life literally into a reality tv show. So, if you are like me and avoid such shows as much as possible you only heard of them when their life/show also spills into the news. You can Google them if you want, but imo, they're not interesting enough to waste your time for that. I assume it will be the same for anyone else on the list.
Load More Replies...They were a husband and wife that had octuplets and exploited them on a horrible reality show for money. The wife Kate was horrible and emotionally abusivos toward some of her children and husband.
Load More Replies...It's no wonder so many people have issues in their life watching these dumbass reality shows. Reality isn't scripted ya bunch of dummies.
At the same time, while the spotlight's on you, you have to remember to stay grounded and humble. That means feeling gratitude for what you have in life, without feeling like you’re defined solely by fame.
That also means putting in the time and care to nurture the positive relationships you have in your life. Hollywood's Ultimate Insider Sington warns not to let fame hinder the genuine personal connections that people had made before they started getting public attention.
Meanwhile, new celebrities ought to develop resilience so that they can weather the “ups and downs of public perception and media attention.” Sington also noted that it's worthwhile to take a moment to think about how fame is transient. Instead, he advises to focus on “long-term personal growth and fulfillment.”
The cast of Jersey Shore.
Other than the one... Snooki? Is that her name? I don't know anything about any of the other ones. And Snooki all I know is her name. At least I think that's her name :D
I've never seen the show but you made me remember an old Southpark episode about Snooki. It was not flattering. :)
Load More Replies...Jail, tax evasion, girl friend abusers, steroid abuse, I'm sure I'm forgetting a few...
I despise all reality TV but this one is probably the one I hate the most. Maybe it's because I'm on Long Island in NY and actually know people like this and I don't like them....in fact one of the girls went to my kid's high school but not when my kids were there. Funny thing is they just won't go away. They constantly have these specials with them on vacation or whatever meanwhile most are married with kids. Enough already!
How they're still booking events and new programs baffles me. I think we've really reached a low in what will pass for entertainment.
I grew up near and worked on the boardwalk where that idiocy was shot. We knew people like them and laughed at them behind their backs.
This show has lived well beyond it's expiration date. Same bunch of trained monkeys that never matured beyond their teen years.
Basically anyone who started off with a sex tape leak
It was not leaked. Kim and Kris planned the whole disgusting thing. They borrowed the idea from Paris Hilton.
Load More Replies...Getting railed shouldn't make you famous. At the very least it oughta get you paid.
I tried, but nobody the only like I got on PornHub was from my Mum. She didn't watch it, she just wants to be supportive.
I feel like that list is longer than it should be. I think we can make an exception for Rob Lowe.
Rob Lowe did not start with a tape. The opposite, it got him blacklisted for a decade.

Yoko Ono. If she hadn’t been with Lennon she would have been a completely forgotten 60’s artist who’s been milking that s**t for decades.
Both of his wives have been very public about the fact that he beat them both. What a hero? Not!
Load More Replies...No, she never wanted fame and is also an incredibly talented artist and feminist activist. She was also instantly hated by the public as soon as they got together. Lennon and the media did her dirty.
We might disagree on what "talented" means. I still remember her BA exhibition 😂
Load More Replies...She just doesn't deserve the hate. He was extremely controlling and abusive towards her. She didn't "insert herself" into the bands practice sessions for instance; he forced her to come. She couldn't even be alone in the bathroom. For that she got reviled and accused of breaking up the Beatles all her life. Yeah, that's some milked fame alright.
I live the one about the recording guy who cut off her mike when she was screeching during John & Chuck Berry's recording session!
So much hate here, but so much love between her and John. Anyone doubting how real it was should listen to his songs, notably his last album "Double Fantasy" which I bought the day before he died. Still brings tears to my eyes.
I wasn’t around during the times, but what was the go with her music, was she making art with the concept of hitting notes between the notes that people don’t normally hear, like that Simpsons jazz episode 😂 “playing between the notes”
Load More Replies...I’ve been hearing about Yoko Ono…Had to have a listen and GoodBoi started howling…
Her music isn’t for everyone 😝 I like her other art though
Load More Replies...Lennon might be a bad person But unlike Yoko he was talented in music. Cant say much about real life though
Load More Replies...Sure, she can't sing. But he was a terrible abuser. And yet she's the one who gets all the hate, just because he can sing. Being talented doesn't excuse being a terrible person.
Bored Panda was also interested to hear why some people have such strong feelings when they hear about someone who they believe might not 'deserve' the recognition they're getting in the public sphere.
According to entertainment and pop culture expert Sington, there's a whole host of factors that can influence a reaction like that, from societal values and personal biases to envy and even frustration.
For example, someone might start comparing their own achievements with someone who's currently in the spotlight. They might feel that they deserve the recognition, not the person in question.
Meanwhile, other individuals are critical because of how a particular celebrity behaves, what their personal beliefs are, and whether they have a "perceived lack of talent."
Probably Jared from Subway… i believe someone at his university wrote a story about his unusual method of weight loss, which was then picked up by national news outlets, then subway put him in an ad, that was unusually successful, which ended up leading to 15 years of being the face of their brand internationally.
Then things went downhill pretty fast from there
He just recently got beat up in prison... again. Karma doesn't eff around when kids are involved and neither do a lot of the other inmates.
That doesn't surprise me. Prison folk frequently have past trauma of all kinds of child abuse. So, they do some revenge therapy whenever they come across perverts in prison. They have no mercy. I hear it gets very brutal. But they won't just kill a perv. They'll make him suffer a long time. Oh, and the prison guards will look the other way specially for those cases.
Load More Replies...Fame was handed to him. He had everything and blew it. He gets what he deserves after taking advantage of children.
My BIL was a Corrections Officer for decades in maximum security prisons, yes sex offenders are on the bottom of the Hierarchy in the prison system. Also depending on the offense is where you are ranked. The bottom is of course "Child" sex offenders and above that is the "Senior" sex offenders and yes they are dealt "Prison Justice." The more heinous the crime the worse the punishment will be, it also increases the likelihood of CO's looking the other way. There have also been cases in some prisons when a CSA "accidentally" gets placed in General Population and is dealt with very quickly by other prisoners. Again depending on the severity of the crime increases the chances that someone will make a mistake. Before people get upset, I'm talking about men that have raped and sometimes murdered very small children and toddlers. Any child offense is bad, but sometimes you have a CSA that is so f****d up there is NO rehabilitation and they will offend again if released.
You're making me think about that jack**s metal singer who raped actual babies. Really, really hope he got put in gen pop
Load More Replies...I don't think Jared wants the "fame" he now has... it's tool old by now.
God must be real then because karma still hasn't shut down all of the religions for their crimes against children...and everything else on earth.
Talentless nerd fell face first into money just by eating subway and ultimately threw it away to be a diaper sniper.
Unlike the others on this list, I think Jared would be perfectly fine with everybody forgetting all about him.
The island boys, they've stretched that s**t out so far
I wish I could upvote you 10×s for that comment! 😂😂
Load More Replies...This is sad, either both or one of them will end up de*d. They keep trying, like making out with each other for views. It's bad

I think theyre brothers that make out with each other on camera if i remember correctly
Load More Replies...Sorry, I hate street graffiti coz they are ugly like s**t but the tattoos on these two made graffiti look like million-dollar fine art.
Im sad you live in an area with s****y graffiti “artists”. I hate the ones that don’t evolve their style as in, 5 yrs of s****y chicken scratches with a single word, the color never changes, the style never gets better, it’s just a cheap street tag. But real graffiti artists are magic
Load More Replies...It wouldn't matter how they dressed, did their hair, or how many more tattoos they get, it's their flat, dead, apathetic eyes that give me the ick about them.
Nirvana baby
Yup. They want to sue for invading his privacy as an infant (or whatever the charge was....? I don't disagree, just sayin) yet he offers to recreate the album cover as an adult. You can't have it both ways.
He also has Nevermind tattooed across his chest so it's not like he doesn't want to be known as the baby
Load More Replies...The thing is he has a nirvana tattoo was was proud of the album cover until later when he wasn't. cash grab wannabe
There’s a whole bunch of reasons why someone would like to be famous. A lot of them are perfectly natural—even if an obsession with external validation and becoming famous might not be great for your mental and emotional health.
Human beings are fundamentally social creatures. We all want to be loved, adored, and respected by members of our community and strangers alike. A good reputation means more trust and stability in your life. On top of that, this high level of sociability opens you up to more opportunities to meet new people and establish positive relationships. Those, in turn, lead to a healthier, happier, more meaningful life, as shown by research. However, you don’t necessarily have to be famous to reap these benefits.
You can cultivate deep and worthwhile relationships no matter who you are, what you do, and what circumstances you’re in.
Probably one of the Paul brothers?
Boxing money and WWE fame
Not a fan of either of them but going from vine clips to all that is pretty remarkable
Id pay to see a real boxer take it to them!! They'd get on my last nerve if I ever rly paid enuff attn to them
Load More Replies...Neither one of them has two brain cells to rub together. Everything about them is fake as hell. The boxing is just heavy sparring and we all know "professional" wrestling is a scripted play date.
I Hate them because me and my brother have the same names as them, we were teased all though are childhood even though our names had nothing to do with the idiots

Except for being a complete tw*t in Japan; the infamous "undead" forest body and disrespecting Japanese people by his actions while I their country. Let's nit forget the animal cruelty, "going gay" for a month to see what it was like (believed it was a choice), CryptoZoo, and Prime.

Kyle Rittenhouse 🤣🤣🤣
The first person on this list who makes me crave physical violence as soon as I see his name. He should be in jail not spewing BS on FOX "News".
Rittenhouse is Fox "News" target demographic: gun-toting morons with more bullets than brains, and who tell themselves that they're proud "patriots". Rittenhouse is their poster boy, alongside the likes of Alex Jones and Donald Chump. A worthless network full of worthless people.
Load More Replies...Kyle is a murderer. You Kyle-apologists can scream "but he killed pedophiles" all you want to... The truth and the fact is, nobody knew they were or weren't pedophiles until AFTER he'd already killed them. So stop acting like he's some hero vigilante. He's a piece of feces in a vaguely human shape.
You put into words what I could not at the time, well said! Let's not forget an underage kid went out in the night with guns he had no legal right to carry looking for an excuse to use em. Facts are facts. If he'd shot a cop or a couple minors, nobody would even be arguing the logistics.
Load More Replies...Famous for murdering people and pretending it was justified. Not. Nope. In cold blood. Not ok. Ridiculous. Bawled like a baby at trial.
Momma took him across state lines to do it too, they should both be in prison

Bhad Bhabie, aka Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli "Cashme outside, how 'bout that?" 1 episode on Dr Phil...where he indended to exploit her and trash her on live tv...she just proved receipts for 52 million on OnlyFans and bought a house in Florida for 6.1 million cash. Hate all you want...but I challenge anyone to do better quicker. 😵💫
Yes, but making money from sex/being sexy is nothing new. So you never watch porn? Someone has to make it. It's a job. If I were young and looked hot, you bet I would have an OnlyFans account. It beats cleaning toilets or working customer service and it pays better. If men are dumb enough to pay for porn, let them.
Load More Replies...She also advocates and brings a ton of attention and education about the terrible trouble teen industry. She was abused and hurt badly due to her attendance to the one Dr. Phil seng her to. Dr. Phil knew of the issues and abuse the participants experienced and still forced her to go there. (Sexual assaults, mental/physical abuse, drugs, torture, and manipulation) Its a horrible problem and needs to be outlawed. At least she's using her platform for good as well.
Unfortunately, no one wants to see me on OF....they might pay to keep me off though
It’s not her fault the world is such a dark and twisted place. What’s sadder - a girl being trashy? Or millions of men paying to see a girl naked the day she turns 18?
I hear she just acted like that for the show and her mom was in on it. They actually had a good relationship together.
Arguably, being famous can act as a deterrent to quality relationships if you're not careful. This is because someone who’s in the spotlight tends to spend a lot of time interacting with their fans in order to keep their attention on them. It’s time that’s not spent building those meaningful connections with the people they truly care about.
Not only that, but celebrities sometimes have to deal with people who only pretend to want a real connection. When, in fact, they have a different angle. They might be aiming for money or to share some of that fame. Or they hope to use those celebs to advance their own goals. In short, some fans don’t see stars as actual people. They see them as tools for their own agendas.
DJ Khaled
As a DJ who worked in the 90 with vinyl aggree1000%. Now they just turn up do a 2 hour set & pretend to twiddle a load of knobs. We used to do 6 to 8 hours a night playing all kinds of music. We had to know all different style from disco to house, funky even rock chart top 40 c**p pop c**p. You have to read the room not just play any xit you fancy. We had about 4000 record on hand from 60 rock and roll to salsa, flamenco. The company club I worked for had a room with records from the 60s right up date.
Load More Replies...Fuss apart (the guy is a complete failure under any perspective) he fell into "my own private jet" videos, where you can basically rent any type of luxury goodies.. for a small tour, take photos, videos, and all. He did it with a boeing business jet pretending he was about to leave. Might have cost him a grand, you rent it fully equipped with crew, have a meal, just not to go anywhere. Given you can do this with luxury cars and hotel rooms wherever in the world..
i had to google him. I dont see his 15 seconds moment, just a career in hiphop. And why do people hate him? What did he do?
Great question! What did he do? Nobody can figure out what this man actually does.

He's a terrible person, though not as bad as some other musicians who are even more famous. TBH I like a couple of his songs.
the damelios. cant believe they got a kardashian wannabe show on hulu
Have never heard of these people and I'm on Hulu pretty often- just finished Atlanta.
Harry and Meghan
These don't count. They're royalty. They get a fame card when they're born or marry in and it has unlimited minutes.
They burned their card, swore at the bartender and were shiiting on the floor and left. Now even family prefer they stay away
Load More Replies...Meghan vanished entirely for many months, didn't say a single word, didn't make a single appearance, and the British press still ran headlines about her every single day.
Nah - no matter what your opinion is of these guys or whatever they did or didn’t do, they don’t fit in this category. They’re part of the English royal family, ffs.
I don't mind Harry so much. Says what he thinks, does good stuff for Invictus/veterans, bailed out on the 'royal' circus, did two tours in Afghanistan (one walking patrols/ground fighting, one flying an attack helicopter). He doesn't owe anyone anything.
and anyone he married would have been raked over the coals.
Load More Replies...If they wanted out they'd lose the titles and be Mr. and Mrs. Windsor.
Load More Replies...Other folks imagine that becoming famous will solve all of their problems, whether that’s financial instability or emotional needs. We all want at least some recognition for our hard work and skills. And let’s be honest, many of us have daydreamed about changing the world and seeing our names in the lights for everything that we’ve accomplished.
However, you can still live a purposeful and happy life without being known all around the globe. It’s being recognized by the people we truly care about and our peers that matters the most. Moreover, you don’t have to rake in millions of dollars every year to be financially stable. A solid and purposeful job with good career prospects is enough. So long as you don’t spend more than you earn, save money every month, and invest part of your wages, you should be fine.
Jeremy Meeks - that convict with the blue eyes or whatever
he looks like the kind of guy to get a teardrop tattoo after getting a parking ticket.
He was a gangmember from a young age, got sent to prison for about a year, and his mugshot was published by the police in a campaign. Today he is still modelling and doing some acting. And by the way- a very beautiful face
i dont know him well. If this helped him to turn his life around positively, good for him.
And he never looked for the fame- it was given to him and helped turn his life around
He left his wife as soon as he became famous, just an all round jerk
Load More Replies...Didn't he get a modelling career out of this coz some a**hole thought he was 'hot'?
A lot of them. He went viral and got signed up by agent.
Load More Replies...I don't think you guys understand.. I remember when this happened and this guy has built a huge modeling career.. She was one of the mill hood guy. A couple of baby mamas and all.. The police department in jurisdiction he lives posted his mugshot like they do anyone that's been arrested for the week and it went viral. This very picture right here made him go for my petty street guy to a multi-millionaire model married to another millionaire. This is one of the biggest WTF out there. This is a perfect example of how looks pay off.
This is a perfect example of why getting tough on crime is BS. Here’s a guy that had no opportunity and was going to live a crappy life in and out of prison but got a lucky break and no lives a happy law abiding life. How may people in prison could do the exact same thing if we gave them the money we spend to keep them incarcerated? Most crime is just poverty by another name and we pay companies fortunes to “lock them up” Prison in the US is just slavery for the poor!
I always thought he looked scary. Like, I wouldn't want to be in his presence. My bf has crystal blue eyes, hotter than him, but with a much kinder soul shining through. Someone you want to be around.
It's the tattoo's that make him scary. If it weren't for those, I think he would be quite the eye candy.

As someone who’s been bullied, I’m so conflicted because on the one hand I don’t want anyone else to go through that, but otoh her bullying is the reason why Buzzfeed stopped running articles about her every damn day.
Load More Replies...She has this incredibly tone deaf show right now where she eats at fancy restaurants with other famous people and her hubby. While the rest of us are struggling to afford the rising cost of food, fuel & housing. But she's SoO ReLAtAbLe.
No different to all the celebrity travel shows or whatever. End of day she’s being paid to do a job, what do people expect her to do turn the money down and eat at homeless shelters instead? lol

That's what you're going with here? She's a horrid person, inside and out, and always has been. She WAS the mean girl growing up and never outgrew it. She has literally used her fame to try and mentally tackle children, because it's her only weapon. Come on now, I'm sure you're a better judge of character and people than that....in fact, I'm absolutely positive you are!

Wendy Williams
Now we're not even getting pictures of these people we've never heard of.
I don't know why you like Wendy O. Williams. I would not even know who she If she hadn't been a member of a health club that I worked at in my teens back in the '80s in New York City. I don't know her personally but I can tell you because I used to see her She was an absolute mess.. She invited a friend of mine to a party and he asked me if I wanted to go and I was tempted because I knew she was famous but ultimately backed out because she was clearly some sort of an addict and I didn't do drugs and didn't want to get in that scene. It was a good decision. She literally looked like a heroin addict, and was always wet and greasy looking and loud talking. I looked her up many years ago until she had died and I wasn't surprised. Wendy Williams The talk show host is definitely a mess. The reason why she doesn't get the sympathy from me is because back in her New York City days on the radio she was a b****. She made her career off of making fun of people and she turns out to be a wing nut.
Load More Replies...I've never, ever been able to tolerate her. She's been openly rude to so many people and somehow, people still love her.
If you’re chasing fame for its own sake, you’re missing the point. Broadly speaking, fame is a byproduct of quality work and skills, whether that’s entertainment, music, dance, art, business, science, or anything else.
If there’s anything to take away here, it is that you should primarily focus on doing a good job in your passion projects and other pursuits. Don’t worry about whether or not you’ll reach celebrity status. Fame comes with its own intense stress, scrutiny, and emotional baggage…
Ryan Seacrest
No talent. He hosted EDIT American Idol (not Americas got talent). Then he was everywhere. He will sell anything. He does tons of radio ads. Yet most of the population could do his job with no training. I can't stand him.
Ryan Seacrest works his butt off. I don't agree that anyone could do his job(s). I feel neutral about him generally speaking, but admire his work ethic.
He’s actually an extremely successful morning show radio DJ in California. Started there and still does that show daily.
Someone told me I would be terrible at public speaking. So, I don't think just anyone could do his job. It does take training to be able to speak loud enough, have control over your tone and learn not to stutter, use fillers and enunciate well enough to be understood. There is a lot that goes into acting and hosting shows. It just looks effortless when done well.
Um, Ryan Seacrest is a hard working media personality with his own brand, production company, and HUGE deal with ABC (USA) amongst others. You clowns WISH you had his talent I don't particularly like him...but as a fellow television professional I respect his accomplishments.

Julia Fox
I don't get it. She wears a snuggie, a thong, flip flops, a bouquet of flowers on her head and a hollowed out hamster as a purse, and people are like omg she's such an icon. If I wore that I'd be committed.
Somehow she's becoming less physically attractive as she goes along. Started off a really pretty young lady. Now too plucked and pulled
It’s a disturbing trend, I’m nearly 40 and I swear I look 10 years younger than this face. I’m just waiting for Pamela’s thing to rub off more and hopefully we can see people loving their own skin again ❤️

She's snasty and yet another one of Kanye's clowns who are too stupid to realize that he is parading them around to humiliate and control them.

While she did have a fall from grace relatively recently, Colleen Ballinger, aka Miranda Sings, certainly made good use of every second she could squeeze out of her time in the spotlight.
A "comedian" who does broad comedy for kids via an obnoxious and stupid character whose most subtle comedic trait is that she can't put lipstick on well. Who ended up being inappropriate with her underage fans, filmed an possibly the worst "apology" video ever where she not only doesn't apologize, she deflects every accusation as "toxic gossip" via a ukulele song (yes, really) despite tons of evidence, got absolutely obliterated for it, went offline for a while, came back with another apology/comeback video where she again doesn't really apologize which she then crazily turns into a vlog or whatever, instead of just recording a separate video, and I think that brings us up to date. Also, apparently she was also a massive bully and harasser (or got her underage fans to harass people) so just your run of the mill modern piece of s**t.
Load More Replies...She sexually harassed fans of hers as well as s**t shamed teenage girls from what I recall
Never liked her. I tried watching her stand up show and just immediately cringed. She was pregnant at the time, lots of kids in audience with their reluctant parents. She was trying to focus more on getting the parents to laugh by complaining about being pregnant. You could hear some laughter but it didn't sound genuine.

Omarosa. Was a villain on a reality show in *2004*, yet 20 years later you still know who I’m talking about.
She was on Trump's TV show then worked for Trump as POTUS, then wrote a book about him in the white house or some such trash

She also "dated" Michael Clark Duncan until he died and tried to sue his family for a portion of his estate. His family referred to her as a snake and that was one of the nicer names this b***h has been called.
Clearly she's the one from that show who needs to just disappear, my eyes have rolled all the way away
Anna Delvey
By all means don't describe who the person is, what their 15 fame minutes consisted of, or how they stretched it out to more.
She's a girl from small town America who pretended to be a wealthy European heiress. She swindled her way to millions of dollars in bank loans, hotel stays, New York city apartments and first class flights. She ripped off dozens of people and lived in a fantasy world where she had everyone believe that her trust /company was about to purchase a tower in Manhattan and turn it into a super art gallery. Her court trial was televised and she signed a million dollar deal with Netflix to turn her story into a film. She made millions from the press and still believes she had every right to take what she took.
The only thing I've heard about her was that Netflix paid her for her story, but she want allowed to keep the money. US law won't allow a criminal to profit from their crime, although she used the money to pay restitution and fined around $20,000 for the remaining balance. It sounds like she profited enough to benefit her.
Kinda like how Jeffrey Epstein got his start. Except he was a man and was taken seriously. He pretended to be something else too and got rich because of it.
I wouldn't compare her to Jeffrey Epstein who was a sex offender who procured women and children for his rich associates.

Guy Fawkes, it’s been over 400 years and we still celebrate him every year in the UK.
Not that he lived long enough to enjoy his infamy..

That Canadian youtuber who says "aboot" I've been coast to coast in Canada 100X over and the only place I've heard anyone say aboot is him and South Park.
I had a Canadian boyfriend and he definitely said "aboot". Not that it mattered.
Canadian here. I've traveled a lot in this country, and really the about or aboat only happens Winnipeg and nearby places in Ontario. No one in the GTA (where I grew up), Ottawa (where I lived for a decade), Nova Scotia (where I also lived a long time), Quebec (I learned French), Alberta (my sister lived there), Nunavut (I was a lifeguard there), or BC (where I live now) - no one in these places says aboot. Winnipeg and Winnipeggers are the only times I've heard it.
The only time I’ve ever heard it was a coworker from Newfoundland about 25 years ago. Until then, I thought it was a joke on American TV - and honestly, it comes up more there than there are people who pronounce it that way.

Is it just me or are we taking about J.J McCullough here. I‘ve watched a few of his videos and he always uses “aboot” in every other sentence. He usually does political commentary on his channel while writing column pieces of Canadian politics in The Washington Post. He’s know for being anti-Quebec since he doesn’t support bilingualism and accuses Quebec for getting special treatment over the rest of Canada. He has a conservative bias in his videos as he leans to the right. But in his defence, he isn’t a hard right YouTuber, a Red Tory at best.

Bella Poarch
She has one of the biggest Tik Toks ever and all she did was shake her head. It became the most liked Tik Tok with over 61M likes and now she's the 3rd biggest Tik Toker, with 94M followers. Then, she somehow turned that into a music career. One song even charted on the Hot 100 and got a little bit of pop airplay.
I also think it's ridiculous that she got famous for shaking her head to a song, but I genuinely like her music. She is trying to turn her silly fame into an actual career, and I admire that she is honestly trying for real success despite her stupid start.
Well said. There is a difference between people milking their five minutes of fame and people who unexpectedly got the spotlight and decided to make something of themselves. People are mean.
Load More Replies...I personally like her song, don’t know much about her otherwise tho
She's actually trying to have a good influence on people despite all that. And she can actually sing, she has a beautiful voice. There are people who should just not be famous because they're using the fame irresponsibly but she tries not to do so. For example she had an offensive tattoo but she didn't know the meaning behind it and then covered it as soon as she found out and used it as a teaching experience
The brown family from sister wives
Guy Fieri
He was a contestant on a reality cooking show in 2005 Food Network.
He went on to win and then parlay that into almost 20 years of hosting shows, multiple restaurants owned and a lot of other successful ventures.
The show he won ran for 14 seasons with 14 winners, does anyone remember the other 13? Guy definitely seized his 15 minutes and ran with it
I have to stand up and disagree with this one. I used to hate him but he is a legitimately nice person. I met a disabled young man who won a chance to cook with him years ago and he said GF was incredibly fun and down to earth and still keeps in contact with him. He also made sure his employees—and other food service workers—were taken care of during the pandemic. There are a lot of people who deserve vitriol, but he isn’t one of them.
Agree with you. Found out he toured Europe in his teens and learnt to cook from different people and became a really good chef. Also does a lot for charity. What I like is that he does not preach about "arty" food and sings the praises for just good food.
Load More Replies...Bear in mind that his show could basically be summed up as free advertising for small businesses. I hardly see that as a bad thing
DDD is literally promoting small businesses from ones in big cities to tiny little towns, and no matter what he hypes them up. Also he runs his own restaurants where pays his staff above industry average wages and has policies that treat them as humans (even paid every single person full salary at each restaurant during shut down, even waitstaff, from his own pocket), he also raised $50 million to help out small restaurants that struggled in 2020 due to Covid to bail them out, etc. He's TV persona is annoying, but he seems like a truly great guy
Load More Replies...Guy Fieri turned a marketing opportunity into successful businesses, which is inspiring if you ask me. He has done way better than many other examples here.
So what you’re telling us is successful contestant used his abilities to become successful on his own shows?
Reminds me of Jason Santos (Hell's Kitchen) and Ryan Ashley (Ink Master). Both notable contestants from the shows they appeared on, but are respected in their industries (cooking and tattooing, respectively) after their stints on their shows.
Load More Replies...He's loud and tacky, so he's perfect for many of us Americans as a "personality". His food sucks and is like the lowest common denominator of dumb and fusion. He was rumored to be a creepy, misogynistic homophobe. (Yes, I know his sister is gay). He also loves Trump, which says a lot, but doesn't seem to be a typical MAGA chud. And he dresses like an idiot. But he also built a career for himself, one of his shows help showcase small businesses, and he seemingly turned into a decent person who does A LOT of good work for his community and for charities. Personally, I hate holding someone to some purity test and never expect anyone to be perfect. So, for me, it's hard to dislike someone that created their own empire AND who gives back.

I've met this dude at four different restaurants, two in Oregon and two in Iowa. I really, really wanted to dislike him. And don't get me twisted, having his TV personality on my line drove me bananas. But deadass truth, he's actually a really nice, down to earth dude.
I mean this not in a negative way at all, because "milking it" seems negative, but Brittany Broski became a meme for tasting kombucha and then took that opportunity to build an empire. Mad respect.

Unpopular opinion: all rappers are overrated. Listening to people yell slurs and suggestive language really fast is not fun to listen to
Were you hit by a rap tape when you were young? There are absolutely amazing rap and hip-hop artists out there. Just because you don't like that music genre doesn't mean that it isn't good or that the artists are "overrated". I dislike country music, and there is a lot of crappy country music, but I would never be willing to emit something as monumentally arrogant and dumb as "all country musicians are overrated". The Sugarhill Gang took a music genre that was entirely unfamiliar to the mainstream young audiences and changed the music scene in the world. However, you know that there is a group of people for which your opinion is VERY popular. They are known for many things, but their taste in music is not one of those things.
