I do not see "marketing themselves" as a real skill, since that is the work of their marketing firms, production companies and agents. It requires absolutely zero skill to hire other people to do things for you. That is what they do, none of them have any sort of actual business intelligence or acumen. What they do have, is a shitload of money and plenty of people lining up to receive some of that money and do whatever they're told. They don't market themselves at all, despite what people think. Other people market them, other people sell them, other people work for them and literally do all the work for them. Hell they have people whose sole job is to properly edit and filter their photos(they don't take them, they fix them, to their bosses' liking after someone else takes them). It's ridiculous, to me, that people still think ANY of them actually have a modicum of intelligence, business or otherwise. Money can literally buy you almost anything, including an entire empire and the false belief (from others) that you know what you're doing, at all, ever.
