The worst I've ever had done to my Little Library is someone threw all the books out into the road. I live on the busy highway that runs through town. Thankfully, someone else picked them all up and put them back before I even knew what had happened. This, however, is so much worse.

Unfortunately this is very common. It had become such a big issue in the cemetery in my neighborhood a few years ago, that the administration decided to hire a security company to deal with the desecrators. Alright I’m Done Being Nice
My nightmare neighbors — the ones who constantly park in front of my driveway, take up all the street parking in front of my house, use trash cans to save their parking spots, and even threatened to catch my cat (and do who knows what to it) because they claim they found excrement in their yard. They couldn’t even describe the cat, and there are at least five different cats roaming the neighborhood.
This past weekend, they took things to a new level and installed these obnoxiously bright floodlights — one in the front yard and another in the back — with the back one aimed directly into my yard. I’ve owned this home for about 9 months now; they’ve been renting here for over 15 years and act like they own the block.
I’ve officially had it with their inconsiderate, passive-aggressive nonsense. So, I’m here for suggestions. Hit me with your pettiest, most vile (but legal) ideas to make them realize I’m not the one to mess with. Here’s a pic of the lights for reference.

Those lights fall under nuisance , call the cops The parking in front of your driveway is illegal , have them towed Street parking is legal so nothing you can do about that Blocking spots with trashcans, just drive over them/or push them aside Have a camera pointed at your car(s) at all times in case of shenanigans and keep your cat inside for the time being. It will escalate because people like that have a chip on their shoulder the size of a mountain , when it does , call the police and keep calling the police every time s**t happens. Depends on the laws where you live. Getting a car towed some places is quite difficult. When I lived in London, it was nearly impossible, unless an emergency vehicle was being blocked access. Honestly, the best thing for it would be to start filing nuisance complaints against the landlord. Eventually, they will get tired of dealing with it and start eviction proceedings.

If possible, get a repositionable concave mirror, install on your property, and use it to reflect the light directly into their window. The concavity of the mirror focuses it to a smaller area, and makes it stronger. Also file complaints against them for harassment/light pollution/public nuisance with whatever local authorities are in your area. Remember, lights that bright can affect animals, too, and check conservation law, fish and game law, etc.

In fact, you don't need to test the color because the paint in the bottle and the cap are the same color. What's more, there are bottles where you have to clean the valve after use to prevent it from drying out. The idiots who do the testing certainly don't do that, just put back the bottle.

A Lady Popped The Lock On The Public Restroom I Was Using, And Entered
I was at a popular grocery store, in the family bathroom. Someone knocked on the door, and I said, "just a minute". They kept knocking, but it sounded like a child was doing it. So I ignored it and went on with my business.
As I was washing my hands, I heard the lock pop, and a lady opened the door. I said, "you can't do that". She shut the door. I finished up and walked out. I told her, "you know you can't just unlock a restroom door when someone's in there, right?" She said nothing, and took her child into the restroom.
She was too ashamed to respond to my call out, but not too ashamed to unlock a restroom door and walk in, even though it was occupied. The sense of entitlement and violation of my privacy had me heated.

This came about because when vapes first started gaining in popularity, many smoke shops advertised them as being "legal" to use anywhere. The idea that because the person was essentially inhaling water vapor, and not smoke, being the cause of that. Seen it just a couple of weeks ago, it was in a cafe where you place you order with the cashier, not the server. This lady took nearly 20 min, she wanted every single dish and drink she ordered (for other adult and two children) customised. All of them took literally three bites of food and a sip of drink and still left an ungodly mess like that somehow, the floor had to be mopped straight away. This was in the cafe of a paid attraction so they must have spent nearly £100 in tickets and of course thought they could be arseholes

Years ago, we used to go to federal land NW of Panama City Beach to camp. Every time we went, we would clean all the bottles and cans and other trash from the beautiful spring site. People are jerks to nature. We have lots of protected forest parts, and even if some people always act like idiots, mostly the rules are respected. (Might also be that some forests are quite wet/swampy, so you never know whether stepping off the wooden plank path gets you foot soaked. Or that protected forests are wild and overgrown and tend to be very hard to walk in with no paths apart from the wooden ones. You never know.)

Many years ago I went to Scotland. We went to the ruins of a castle on a cliff next to the sea. Very idyllic looking, great place to take photos, but the actual castle was roped off because of the risk of falling structure (they're called ruins for a reason) and the fact that it was on a cliff with sharp rocks at the bottom. Makes sense, right? Apparently not to everyone as a couple climbed over the roped off area to take photos at the cliff edge. I just thought to myself that it would be 100% their own fault if anything happened to them and they better not damage anything.

Missed Connecting Flight Because Entitled People Thought “All Bags Must Be Checked” Didn’t Apply To Them
I was on a flight, and we were already delayed because the inbound flight had mechanical issues. The gate attendants announced multiple times that “all carry-ons like duffel bags and rolling luggage must be gate checked.” Everyone was allowed one carry-on.
I watched as multiple people pushed by the flight attendant and say “no, it’s not a checked bag” while getting on our (tiny) airplane (note multiple had the little red tag clearly dangling off their bag.
Well, behold, after the jetway was pulled back, the flight attendants carried 5 bags up to the front during a final safety check.
So, then we have to wait for them to bring the jetway back to the plane so they can take the five large bags and stow them under the plane. Our already 30-minute delayed flight was delayed another 30 minutes. There were multiple people who missed connecting flights, including myself. Some people literally don’t believe any rules apply to them.
Also, just as a side note, everyone should be nicer and more respectful to flight crews and gate agents.

14 years and 4 months ago, someone abandoned three tiny kitties, one of which looking exactly like this one in a box behind my parents' home. The grey one came out of the box and meowed relentlessly, then literally jumped on my dad as soon as he stepped food outside. She kept following him the whole day long and has done so to this day. She's the love of my life. The other kittens were not so lucky. Behind the house is a corn field. It was harvest time. You can guess the rest. I have no idea what went through that horrible person's mind. I mean hell, they could have left the box on our front porch, it'd have been less awful. I met my best friend but 2 poor animals died.

Really? Seriously? What if no one noticed the kitten? What if stuffed animals got tossed in on top of him? This kitten is under 6ish weeks old, because his eyes are still blue. Kittens that young aren't completely coordinated yet and might not be strong enough to escape being smothered by stuffed animals if they were put in on top of him and no one noticed him. As an aside, NO way of "getting rid of" or abandoning an animal is "benign" by pure definition.

Vandalism Overnight At A Local Park
Someone decided to pour over 10 gallons of used motor oil on the ground and equipment at a local park. It happened overnight with no immediate witnesses, security cameras were down due to earlier vandalism at the restroom building. The park was just completed/updated last summer, and now it's closed indefinitely while they take ground samples. The city has already stated they may need to dig up all the mulch and rubber beds due to contamination. It's terrible we can't have nice things.

Probably someone who didn't want the playground built in the first place. First suspect would be the people who opposed the construction. It's not always going to be some grumpy neighbor either. I've seen similar in Salt Lake City a few years back when a developer took an empty lot which had previously had a community garden in it (technically an illegal garden, as they didn't own the land) and put a play park in the lot to support the apartment complex they'd built. The people that had the community garden, vandalized and destroyed the play park, in response to their garden being destroyed.
If you have ever felt a sense of entitlement, you should not only recognize it but also try to understand where the behavior stems from.
According to experts, being humble and grateful to those who helped you in your success and achievements is also something to be worked upon.
It is also good to acknowledge that life does not owe you anything, and when things don’t go your way it doesn’t mean you’ve been wronged.

It wasn’t an accident. The woman changed her daughters diaper in the pram (at least not on a stack of clothes), then pushed away the pram in a hurry and looked back all guiltily when she saw that I had seen her. An employee who also saw it tried calling after her a second later and the woman just accelerated her step. I am not the judge-a-book-by-its-cover-type, but overall appearance and vibe checked out. The employee was like “I ain’t picking that up” and walked away. I couldn’t believe it and eventually picked it up and brought it to the trash can behind the cashier like 4m away. Other employee thanked me, told me it wasn’t the first time and gave me some hand sanitizer.

If it was contaminated with Hepatitis C, HIV or some other dangerous virus, you may receive some sort of agressive antiviral therapy (I think that interferons are given,) that may inhibit the virus entering its target cells. Usually, you will be immediately screened for transferable diseases, ("before" state) and may be scheduled for follow-up screenings from six weeks to six months after the accident.

Unfortunately, our local stand had to install cameras inside and outside of the little stand due to people helping themselves. They provide produce and flowers in season as well as handmade items. Even if they have a disabled placard you can't park in the stripes. The stripes are designated to allow a ramp that is attached to a car to load and unload a wheelchair. It's not a parking space. It's ramp space and it's illegal to park there because it prevents wheelchair bound people from being able to get in and out of the vehicle.

Guy And His Wife Watched Football Through An Entire Orchestra Concert
My wife and I went to an orchestra concert tonight for our anniversary. Bought rather expensive tickets. The guy in front of us watched a football game with earbuds in during the entire concert. He kept gesturing and physically reacting to various plays and whispering to his wife. This photo was taken during intermission. About 15 minutes after the performance resumed, I tapped the back of his seat with my hand. He turns around and asks, "Was that for me?" I reply, "Yes, you're being rude." To which he replies, "You better chill." Rather than taking a subtle hint, he showed his true colors as being a jerk.

It goes other way we were at a standing concert and as we are tall 6-2 and 6-4 we often just stand at the back / side as get a good view. We'd stood next to sound desk and turned to find behind us was a raised platform for wheelchair users, which we were blocking the view, so moved to other side of sound desk. One of the carers came over to thanks us for moving, without been asked - as we try not to be **** but sometimes you don't realise you are taller than everyone else!

My mom likes to use the "free prepaid" envelopes they give you (for donations to them) for other purposes XD We have a small business, and we put our employees' paychecks inside the envelopes before we hand them out on payday - that way a) we save money on using new envelopes every 2 weeks and b) reduce, reuse, recycle XD By using envelopes that are already made, we (in a small way) don't contribute even more to cutting down trees for paper products. My mom also likes to put our bank deposits into them (just to carry to the bank, we don't hand the envelope to the teller as-is, lol.)

In the US junk mail is prevalent. It's companies that mail you unsolicited catalogs, letters, etc trying to convince you to spend money on their goods or services. Mailboxes are frequently stuffed with this. I get at least 5-6 pieces a day. It all goes in the trash. Soooo wasteful

Charities need to raise funds to exist. One of the ways they raise funds is by selling mailing lists of those who donated. So by you getting extra mail, it means that the charity received more financial benefit than the dollar amount you gave. Why aren't you happy about that? Is tossing out unwanted mail that much of a burden? With some charities, if you can contact them directly to make a donation (i.e. a phone call, speaking to a human), you can say "I would like to donate to support you, but do not want my information shared or sold, is that possible?".

Doordash Driver Ate My Food
As the title says. Order arrived 45 minutes late in the first place, and none of the boxes had the tamper seals. Opened up the food and this jerk ate one of my wings. Before you ask, it was a nearby delivery and I tipped $6 on the app. The trip was only 6 minutes, 2.7 miles. Support refunded my order but not the tip surprisingly.

There's a Chinese takeaway a hundred meters or so from my house and some large food chain outlets within a mile's distance. “The American Laziness Epidemic” Is Always On Display At Walmart
It makes me furious to see the amount of lazy and inconsiderate people throughout the USA. I’ll admit that my anger definitely stems from my past experiences of working at a grocery store and having to collect the carts from around the parking lot. Seeing these carts sit just a few feet away from a cart corral just infuriates me to almost no end.
I truly believe if you leave the cart in the middle of the parking lot, you’re just as bad as a litter-bug. It’s more work to hop the curb with the cart and throw it into the mulch. The customers that complain “not enough carts” are the same ones who just leave it out in the parking lot.
I often find myself collecting the carts and putting them in the corrals just because I know the pain collecting the carts. One of the most dangerous jobs at a grocery store is cart collection. Don’t even get me started on the weather factors (especially in the deep south).
Please just put your cart in the corrals.

Arrived at my parents’ this morning to keep cleaning out their house… Except the brand new dumpster we had delivered was already completely filled. Not by us, but by whoever decided to back up after midnight and unload all their garbage into it. When I was cleaning out my parents' house after their passing, my brother who, at the time, delivered and picked up dumpsters, provided a small dumpster for me to use. I live above a carpet and flooring shop and they have 2 large skips outback. pretty much every week people would come dump there stuff in it which meant the shop had no room for their own rubbish unless they paid for it to be emptied. I am a recovering drúg addíct and I guarantee you that I never thought "drúg use is great!!!" nor was I "encouraged" or "pressured" by some kind of weird "motif" implying that drúg use is "great". Many, many addícts start using due to depression, ábuse, suícídal ideation, or other negative feelings/emotions/experiences, NOT because they think drúgs are going to be "great". I didn't even drink alcohol through most of my entire life and only started using when I was in my mid-30s due to depression, feeling suícídal, and being trapped in an ábusive relationship. Drúgs were the only thing that shut up the "bad thoughts" in my head and made me stop feeling the "bad feelings". I didn't feel "great" to be using, I just felt SLIGHTLY LESS SHỈTTY when I was high.

My son is in hospice and because of that, despite note being financially "poor", we qualify for Medicaid ( healthcare without cost for low income) The number of doctors who are stunned that I am a teacher, educated, etc is disgusting. Having staff treat you like you are a bother./thief/trash.. which changes instantly when they realize we have a waiver and aren't " poor" shows just how much this public perception that poverty is some kind of marker that means you're a bad, uneducated, thieving drain on society is prevalent in the US.

The Social Services people have always treated me well. And while not all recipients are jerks, there are an awful lot of them that are complete a******s. I've heard them cuss out the clerks and constantly fight with the security guy when they want to smoke inside. They're usually the worst parents ever. If they're not screaming at their kids, they're totally ignoring them and what they do. I bet the clerks there get really tired of the trash that comes in. And yet I still see them greet each person politely and if you say please and thank you to them and treat them decently, they'll do whatever they can to help you.

Ack! There was a trend there for while where there were big trucks rigged in a way so they could purposely “smoke” hybrids, particularly Prius’s. Mine isn’t a Prius, but another it’s another flavor of hybrid and some dude got in front of me and smoked me. Not sure what he got out of that.

Worker Left An Entire Mess From Their Meal In The Break Room Before Leaving For The Day
I work security in a data facility and I see things like this every day, people just leaving their messes out in the break room for janitorial to clean up. There's trash cans everywhere (including recycling and compost), and bins to deposit dirty dishes, yet people still feel so privileged and entitled they just want to leave their messes for someone else to clean up like they can't be bothered to do it themselves. For reference this mess was at the very end of the day and the employee had been in there for almost an hour just chillin, so they definitely weren't in a rush to leave.

Where I worked, we had cups, plates, and silverware for community use and the employees were responsible for washing their dishes. Of course, some people felt they were beyond doing basic chores, so they'd pile their dishes in the sink until you had to wash a plate to use one. One day our manager walked up there and tossed everything in the sink into the trash right in front of everybody, telling them no one here was hired as a dishwasher. I think we had one spoon left in the drawer and when the manager found that in the sink the next day, she tossed that, too. Then she told everyone that if you wanted plates or silverware, to bring your own.

Jerk At Work Who Nobody Likes Found My Torch And Dug The Magnet Out The Bottom, Rendering It Practically Useless For My Job
Like I’d literally rather he stole it instead of this. I’m a HGV/Semi Truck mechanic, so I’m under trucks in a dark pit all day long. This torch was great for sticking it to something whilst I worked, freeing up both hands.
Weirdest part is that, to your face, he’s jokey and friendly, but he just secretly hates everyone but won’t say. He gets pleasure out of either stealing people's stuff or breaking people's stuff. He’s leaving in a few weeks, thankfully. I told my boss about this, and he replaced it with a new one, which is nice.

If they're continously taking flash photography, get security! I've worked somewhere where flash photography isnt allowed. Now most of the time I'll hear people curse as the flash goes off cause they forgot it was on and I just let them be. If people do it on purpose i stop them. If they continue then i call security and security will deal with it.

Mine's a 2001 XD I did replace the radio some years back so that I could connect my phone to it via Bluetooth, as my phone contains my (huge) repository of songs that I used to have downloaded on my computer (aww yiss the Napster/Limewire days) or on CDs, and the original radio my van came with didn't even have a CD player. I like singing, and singing can make a dull/long/horrible drive so much more pleasant for me XD But if I (for some reason) became an Uber driver, I wouldn't let passengers connect to my radio XD

Or could just try to see a doctor the next day if necessary. A sore throat or laryngitis is rarely an emergency. You don't usually need a doctor for laryngitis if it's mild and goes away in a week or two, but see a doctor if symptoms last over 2 weeks, worsen (like difficulty breathing/swallowing), you cough up blood, have a high fever, or keep getting it. Most people will just get better without intervention. The fuss people make over minor illness.

Hold up, this is not on the customer. If you don't want dasher orders that late, set your time parameters accordingly. It's not like the person walked into the restaurant and ordered. Sometimes you can't even tell what the hours for a place are on the apps; it's either you can order or you can't. Most places set their last order time a half hour before closing time.

I don't get how a food delivery/prep place cannot organise themselves properly to ensure that this would not be a problem. Either accept that your 'closing time' is the time at which you stop taking orders or set a different "last orders" time fifteen minutes (or whatever) earlier to avoid this being a problem. True story: I have an appointment with a psychiatrist (because I know the only thing that works on me are meds-not TALKING through my issues) next week because I have gotten extremely aggressive towards people, in general. I just cannot stand them/us anymore and I am worried that if someone catches me on the wrong day/time, I'll snap. I am beyond (so far beyond) tired and disgusted with the human race! I wish we all would just go extinct, me included.
