50 Times People Spotted Such Huge Jerks, They Just Had To Shame Them Online (New Pics)
It's perfectly fine to have disagreements and differences of opinion, but it's important to remember that we're all in this together. Treating others with kindness, even when we don't see eye to eye, is essential for building a sense of community and creating a positive environment for everyone.
When we act like jerks, we not only hurt people, but we also diminish our respect; again, it's okay to have strong beliefs and stand up for what we think is right, but there's no need to belittle or demean others in the process. Compassion not only benefits those around us, but it also brings joy and fulfillment to our own lives.
Sadly, these things are often easier said than done. So, as a reminder that we should strive to make the world a better place for each other, we at Bored Panda put together a list of those who don't. We hope that karma catches up to these inconsiderate weasels.
Continue scrolling to check out the images and don't miss what we learned about empathy from NY-based Licensed Clinical Psychologist and founder of STEPS (Stress & Trauma Evaluation and Psychological Services) Dr. Valentina Stoycheva and Psychologist and Collaborative Divorce Coach Dr. Ann Gold Buscho — their comments are spread between the entries.

Gettting Used To The Fact That Some People Are Just Jerks
According to Dr. Valentina Stoycheva, the author of The Unconscious: Theory, Research, and Clinical Implications, empathy is dependent on having developed a 'Theory of Mind,' which is the ability to understand and share the emotions of others.
"Many factors, such as upbringing and personality disorders (such as narcissism, for example) may result in an inability to experience empathy," Stoycheva told Bored Panda. "In addition, some people may situationally struggle with this if they are in an active state of being traumatized or have significant mental health difficulties. As a result, temporarily, they may have a hard time empathizing with others due to a lack of internal resources to do so."

"Empathy is hard-wired into our species, some believe, which allowed our species to work in groups, form communities, and prosper," Dr. Ann Gold Buscho, who penned the book The Parent's Guide to Birdnesting, also told Bored Panda.
"They may lack empathy because of trauma in childhood, especially abusive parenting. They are in survival mode and scanning for threats (hypervigilant). Lack of empathy is associated with low intelligence and several mental health disorders, and some people may not have the internal resources necessary for empathy when they are overly stressed, just trying to keep their heads above water."

The good thing is that egoistic behavior can be modified. "Empathy is a part of high EQ (or emotional intelligence)," Dr. Buscho explained. "It is a skill that many people can be taught through therapy and a desire to develop more intimate relationships with friends, families or partners."
However, she said that if someone doesn't recognize their deficit of empathy or isn't motivated to develop it, it will be difficult or even impossible to remedy, even with professional treatment. "Therapy would be helpful, as would coaching and feedback from others, ... [however,] certain personality disorders are so entrenched that the egoistic behavior may not be changed unless the consequences of that behavior are so painful that the person becomes curious or motivated to commit to change."

Interestingly, women are better at empathizing with other people than men.
Recently, researchers asked people to look at photos of the area around a person's eyes (the person is making a particular kind of facial expression, and the study participant had to identify what that person is thinking or feeling from a set of possibilities).
To see if cultural differences impacted empathy scores, data was collected from teams around the globe. Merging their results with large samples from different online platforms, the authors of the study were able to capture results from nearly 306,000 people across 57 countries including Argentina, Croatia, Egypt, India, Japan and Norway, and in 36 countries, women scored on average significantly higher in their cognitive empathy scores than men did, while in 21 of the countries, their results were similar.
There wasn’t a single country in which men scored better, on average, than women.

“This study clearly demonstrates a largely consistent sex difference across countries, languages, and ages,” study co-author Carrie Allison, who is the director of applied research at the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University, said in a press statement.
“This raises new questions for future research about the social and biological factors that may contribute to the observed on-average sex difference in cognitive empathy.”

Dr. Valentina Stoycheva highlighted that this happens because most of us have a need for the world to be, at least to a degree, organized and predictable in order to feel safe. "People who act like jerks break social contracts that we all need in order to function in society," she said.
"Even if their behavior does not concern us, we still experience it as possibly dangerous or threatening. If everyone started acting this way, then society as we know it would collapse and that is scary."
This Dude Decided To Park In Front Of My Driveway When The Entire Street Was Free
My aunt's house in Queens, New York was on a 25 foot wide lot. In front of the house was about 18 feet of parking space. I was visiting once and we were planning on going for a drive. I came out and saw that a car parked with two feet of it blocking the driveway. My aunt was an elderly, single lady with some issues, and didn't really know her newer neighbors (the ones she grew up with had almost all moved away). While I was trying to figure out what to do, one of the new neighbors came over and said that he would get the car towed. The Neighborhood Association (not an HOA) would do it for her. I said that she was not a member of the Association, and this very nice man said that they had "grandfathered" her in for stuff like this, because she had been there so long, and didn't cause any trouble. Thirty minutes later the tow truck driver was at the door to get permission to put a tag on the tree for the car owner to find and know where to go to get his car back. Cost: abt $300.
That is soooo nice! Makes me happy to think they were watching out for your elderly aunt.
Load More Replies...Hello, towing company? Yeah, I think I will be needing your help today, please.
I have a*****e neighbors across the street who always have people staying over and they are constantly half blocking my driveway. I left a note on their cars with the parking law printed on it and said I'll have them towed if they don't stop. Because apparently, asking them nicely didn't get through their bowling ball of a skull.
Nope. Call for a tow. They'll be charged. That usually gets through to them.

Load More Replies...We had huge problems with a lot of different churchgoers (!!) doing this on Sundays. I asked nicely, I asked the vicar to tell them, I asked bluntly but they did not stop until I starting gluing (PrittStick)a written complaint on the driver’s side windscreen. It took doing this to over a dozen but then it stopped completely.
Make sure the tow company you use is as far as possible from your house. Try the next county over.
In Europe a lot of cars have tow hooks installed. I have. I'll just "haven't noticed" the car and back into it! Leave a nice dent in the door(s), or possibly a hole...😇
Looks like it just stopped, not parked. The backseat window looks open to me. Regardless it was careless.
We've got loads of photos like this as it happens to us. Usually the person in the car goes across to a house across the road and just up the street. They seem to think the dropped area is a private parking bay just for them. However they also park on the sidewalk/pavement and this had led to that being damaged and worn away to the point of the underside of our vehicles being damaged when trying to get off the driveway. Having contacted various departments no one wants to help.
I sort of had this scenario once - someone parked directly in front of my car whilst I was parked outside my garage in a private car park with embankments on 3 sides. Tried all of my neighbours as I was due to pick up my now ex Wife from hospital, no one knew who's car it was. I drove a lovely big Mitsubishi 4x4, she (and it turned out, it was a she) had parked a Nissan Micra about 6 inches from my front bumper. So, into my Mitsi, into low gear, push up to her bumper and shove her car across the car park, and leave it parked crosswise halfway up the 10 foot embankment. Apparently her tyres were quite well scraped and she had to call a recovery company to retrieve her car as she wasn't a good / confident enough driver to get into it without thinking it would roll ...... Happy day.
In front of my house, he'd have four flat tires. Once I was leaving to go to a doc appointment and found not one but TWO giant SUVs parked in my driveway. Never seen them before and the cops said it was MY problem, nothing they could do. Turned out it was the grandkids of the next door neighbor who figured I was at work so shy should they have to park in the street. OMG
I have a big SUV with a big bumper. I would have pushed it into the middle of the road and gone on my merry way.
Brown car brown bark on trees... oh dear, I had no idea there was a car blocking my driveway and I couldnt see you there. How unfortunate :)
Argh! My neighbors do this. Fortunately they are usually in the car so I can knock on their window and ask them to move. But you've got a whole street!! Why in front of my driveway?
I'd shunt his car into the middle of the road. Or give it a good keying. Who's going to know?
I think it was probably unintentional. Driveway is below grade and obscured pulling up by at least another car and trash cans. Look, they gave plenty of room for the other car to pull out. Just sayin'
Just ram his car. It is his fault for parking in the way of your car
Sadly then their insurance gets charged and raised

In this new year, we have to not act like these types of people. Being a decent human being will not hurt you, it will show the world that you have the capacity to care for others. We all need to think about other people and not be destructive or petty or rude or inconsiderate. Doing the right thing may require a few extra steps, but at least at the end of the day, you will know that you were not a jerk to someone. If you are sick stay home. If you are in the grocery store and you decide you don't want something, go put it back in its proper place. If you are romantically interested in someone and they don't like you accept it. When you go into a restaurant, don't leave a huge mess. Don't be racist, homophobic, xenophobic misogynistic, or anything else. Now more than ever, we need to be decent to one another.
I sometimes wonder if any of these bozos ever see their posts out on different sites. If so, do they ever take the time to read the comments as well. Then I come back down to reality.
