Before And After Adoption
For some reason it always bothers me when people have their dogs ears clipped. I know it's akin to having you ears pierced, but I still find it so cruel. Otherwise - what a proud boy in the second pic! I love me a good pit! :D
I agree that it is cruel, unnecessary and natural ears look far better.
Load More Replies...I hate what people do to their ears! It is very painful and often done with crude instruments such as knives or scissors, and without anesthesia. Many do this to pitties to make them look "more mean." It makes me cringe! I'm glad that this boy found his forever home!
This first picture made me cry. He is so sad and my heart just aches for him. He looks like he could melt into the wall. The second picture is just a masterpiece. He is so proud and happy. I bet he is being treated like a king. Thank you for rescuing him. I appreciate you sharing.
My Ex Worked At The Spca And Refused To Let This Piglet Be Euthanized, So She Took Him Home. She Did An Amazing Job.
Find the monster who did this to another living crature and strike him with righteous retribution. Show no mercy.
Even after 25-years doing dog rescue, I'll never get used to the sight of a dog starved near death. How could someone do that and look at the poor dog daily? Where is the humanity?
Why would anyone neglect such a beautiful creature?! I hope they are brought to full justice!
That before picture is one of the worst I've ever seen. So glad the baby got a good home.
I'm crying because of the first picture. How could you ever do this to a living, feeling creature?! This woman is an angel for saving this guy.
Before And After Adoption
Had I not known that this dog would do well in the end I wouldn't manage to even look at the first picture because it's so awful. It's unbelievable how anyone that skinny even can stand up. :(
All monsters are human, and the worst, do this to our fellow furry friends.
Load More Replies...Even in the first picture he hadn't lost love and trust. We can learn so much from these beautiful souls.
There are thousands more, just like him, that need you!
Load More Replies...Even as worn out, starving and probably abused, it amazes me how happy the dog looks in the before pic. Maybe she was overjoyed that finally someone was there to care for her.
Oh dear, what a beautiful animal so badly treated and isn't he lovely now. That God for decent people.
If there was just the first picture I may not at first glance have been able to tell you that was a husky the only giveaway is the hetrochroma
oh c**p this is so so awful who can do this to any living thing gee hope they didnt have kids , but now you would not beleive it is the same dog except for the cououred eye
Just look at what I posted on the last one for your answer but whoever helped that dog not be miserable is amazing
My Dog Wynter - From Living In The Streets To Relaxing In My Backyard
The ears look so diff because malnourished and starving dogs bodies start to break down cartilage to feed on. So the ears look so diff due to this. And he's filthy in the before pic. Look closely though same exact markings. This Doggo is one lucky monkey now :))
I wasn't saying it wasn't the same dog! I'm sorry if I came across that way. I was just pointing out how much a little TLC can really change an animal in need.
Load More Replies...Doesn't even look like the same dog. The ears are even different. Wow. Crazy what a little TLC can do.
You are a wonderful mum to this lovely dog. Thank God you have him in your care.
From Cellmates To Lifemates
Heartbreaking first picture, which makes the second picture that much more amazing! Love their smiles!
It was so hard for me to separate bonded dogs that come into rescue. I'm so thankful for the people who are caring enough to adopt bonded pairs!! Whomever is their owner, THANK YOU!
The little ones face in the first pic is like "you have to take us both please"
Anyone who believes that animals do not have emotions or feelings; all they have to do is look @ the before & after pix here! These 2 dogs in the 'after' pic, I swear, they're SMILING & Laughing; with pure JOY
Ripley At Around 6 Months In Iran And Again At Around 1 Year In Her Forever Home In The United States
THAT DOG IS SMILING!! Dont tell me animals cant have emotions! PROOF!
wait does this dog have a green card? do not let trump know about this!
It's ok, she's Melania's 3rd cousin.. so it's all fine.. shhhhhh...
Load More Replies...Hank! Abuse Left This Poor Pup With Scars And Timidness, But Now He Smiles Ear-To-Ear
It's amazing how good dogs are at trusting again after they've been abused. They forget about the scars, put aside the timidness and throw themselves heart, soul and body into thier new life with thier new people who have so far proven to be loving. Meanwhile there are scores of humans isolating themselves and living partial lives because the idea of trusting again is too scary. Dogs have an aweful lot to teach us with thier enormous and open hearts and thier willingness to take a chance and put aside those old scars. I wish I had half the bravery, heart and Joie de Vivre of this beautiful dog!!
I love this dog because his energy resembles my dogs energy
Now that's a happy dog and you did it Bless you. Love---hug---play.....every single day.
Before And After Adoption
I actually just read the entire article of this dog.... She actually lost eye sight on one of her eyes, sad.
She lost the whole eye, not just the sight. But as Sky said, it doesn't stop them from living a happy life :)
Load More Replies...OMG, it looks like that eye has exploded :'( that poor baby!! Poor dog looks so much better in the second obviously, but this is the first one that appear to have been irrevocably damaged by its former life. This just makes me so damn cross. There's no need for any of this!! In any civilised country there are shelters, vets, wardens who will take in injured and unwanted dogs. Even if they say you have to wait/pay and you can't for whatever reason there are ways to get your dog to a safe place where it'll be noticed or call it in yourself and watch out for someone to come rescue it. It's not rocket science!! To take an animal that has only ever lived in a house and had food provided in a bowl and dump it is the equivalent of dumping your 10 year old 100 miles from civilization and going "ah well, if he makes it he makes it"... I'm just so mad right now!!!
Never ceases to amaze me what love and a decent diet well do! I've done it many times myself?
Frank The Tank. Before And After Adoption
Gorgeous pup, but I wish people would stop with the inbreeding. Look at those little legs bending around that enormous chest. It's not right and can't be good for the health of his joints.
So My Sis Adopted Her Very First Dog And His Before And After Pics Have Me Crying
(He's secretly a dog that time traveled from the 70s to bring joy to the Terrible 2010s. Sshhhhh) ;)
Load More Replies...Just needs daily application of coconut oil on dat nose! SWEETIE!
so sad you can tell by their fac thaat they dont understand what is going on, but the end result the eyes say it all thank you for loving and adopting me
So beautiful, people think pit bulls and mixed with pit bull dogs are so mean. But they are the most loving and loyal dogs ever, I have a mixed one and he is the sweetest as long as he knows you otherwise he's very protective.
Adopted This Little Dude While On Vacation In Mexico. The Litter Was Found In The Jungle In Terrible Shape But Were Nursed Back To Health By The Local Animal Rescue Foundation. Here He Is Today Healthy, Happy And Adapting Well To His New Life As A Canadian
Check him out on instagram! @odin_the_puppfather
Load More Replies...Poor doggo had his eye removed. You can tell one of his eyes had cancer because when eyes have cancer and you take a pic, a solid white mass shows up in the pic.
Very interesting and very sad. Thanks for confirming.
Load More Replies...Amazing! Thank you for rescuing him, and giving him a new, loving home!
Ahhhh what a cutie pie. Awful beginning, but this pup is on track to live a wonderful life
Such a sad little pup in the first photo! HE looked Terrified! Thanks to whoever for finding this sweet litter of pups!
To The Person Who Left Her In A Park To Die 2 Years Ago... Look At Her Now! With Your Horrible Neglect Came A Whole Lot Of Happiness.
Find who left this beautiful creature to die, alone - and give them the most harsh punishment possible!
To the person who rescued this beautiful dog well done the reward for your kindness is a friend for life. And to the bastard who left her in this state please can my baseball bat and I have 10 minutes alone with you in a dark ?
aww she looks like my Gamora, Gamora was in a box right in front of my door, she was super thin, looking like a skeleton. We fed her and nursed her to health, and now she's bffs with my other dog, Starlord <3
People do not deserve animals. Most of the time I am ashamed of the human race.
Whoever left that dog out to die should have a sleepover at Satan's house.
oh my word wow this is amazing gee whizz cant find the words so I will just cry instead,
The Night We Found Him On The Street Vs 1 Week After Adoption. Meet Pablo
Indeed! Chihuahuas are not my kind of dogs but how, how could someone dump one once he/she got it?
Load More Replies...wiping away ears here, this so sad but with a fantastic ending thank you for the ones that LOVE their animals and down with you creep who shoudnt be allowed to have them ever
YAY for Pablo....he hit the jackpot with his new parents...you! And he happens to be darling.
Before And After Adoption
Doggo thought bubble: "Thank you Hooman!!! I'm so happy now...I feel so light!"
But it's so very cold suddenly, did you turn the sun down?!
Load More Replies...My mother and I found a dog similar to this dog. It looked as though he had 8 legs. Once the groomer was finished shaving him, he was normal, and had a long happy life with our family.
I have read he story on this how could you look at that baby and not no you were doing wrong is beyond beiefe but now wow what a change and what a happy face
How are you finding the stories behind these pics? I'd really like to read some...
Load More Replies...Wtf?! It looks like a manatee, with the matted fur. Jesus!!!! Poor baby
This Is My Koda Bear The Day Before He Got Adopted And A Few Months After
Absolutely!! I have two bonkers boys :) although my Goldie tends to be called my funny pony when he's being a loon and my pug/beagle cross prefers to be addressed as Lord Pugglington Mouseworthy when he's being silly. They get no encouragement from us humans to act silly ;)
Load More Replies...On their back with belly up says a lot about trust....not just submission.... good work!!!!!!
his teefers (theethers) r showing. Whenever me and my dog r playing, she kinda playfully bares her teeth at me, and then i say her teefers r showing!
After 4 Years In The Street, Annie Found Her Home With My Parents. First Day Vs 1 Week Later
So cute!!! Looks just like my Ellie, but without the brindle!! She is so innocent in both!
In the 1st one she's in a corner, curled up and scared . Stretched out in the 'after' and in the middle of a room. Just :))
My old dog was named Ellie. She started to have bad health during a camping trip.
My Friend Rescued This Sweet Girl From Being Put Down Over A Minor Skin Condition. Meet Scarlett
Oh my God. It has tears in its eyes. I can't even... Thank you for saving this sweet baby.
Those aren't tears. Dogs don't cry like humans. Very few other species do. Those are just eye boogers. Nothing a tissue or sleeve couldn't fix
Load More Replies..."Minor skin condition?" There is NEVER a good reason to put a dog down, unless he/she is dying, and in pain. It's a hard decision to make.
The hardest decision there is. I had to make it for my cat and it still makes me sad when I think back at it (it was three years ago).
Load More Replies...This happens too often. The neglected dogs develop skin infections, and people who don't know anything, will put them down when 99.9% of skin infections, like mange, can be cured. Thank you for being smart, treating his condition, and saving her life. What a sweet face!
Scarlet, as God is your witness, you'll never be hungry again! Hope you're not too young to nit know the movie "Gone w/the Wind". Ask your mom. Anyway, this little girl is darling and I'm sso glad you got there in time!! She's so lucky to have you.....you're both lucky.
Before And After
HOW CAN ANYONE LOOK AT THESE dams BEFORE PICS AND NOT BE IN TEARS How can anyone do that do a dog
Look how sad he looks! How can anyone think that animals don't have the same feelings we do!!?
Amazing...she looks like she's LOL' ING on the right. She knows who her hero is.
why am I in a cage, ok so now I am in a happy place really happy place
Before & After Of My Adopted Pup
She looks that dog in "Lady and the Tramp" -- the crooner with the fall of fur over one eye who sings, "He's a tramp".
Where did you find her??? She looks like she was from a puppy mill or a hoarder situation. It breaks my heart, but fills me w/joy to kn ow you rescued her (him?) She looks Maltese...I've had four of them over many years. Love anD enjoy each othrler!!
Before And After Adoption
That's heartbreaking. But glad the pupper has found a good home!
please get me out of here, hey I am out I am in a car I am going to be loved this time
He's begging you to take him...on the left. He's saying /I love you w/all my heart...with his EYES...on the right. You did this! Don't forget that...he won't.
Before And After Adoption
OMG, JAIL TIME and PHYSICAL LABOR, like chain gang labor, as well as a hefty monetary donation to the local shelter should be mandatory punishment for anyone who could do this to an animal!
Amazing,! One would never know that it's the same dog! Just love and food! God bless!
The first pic brought tears to my eyes...how long was he/she "out there" ? She's gorgeous and deserves to be treated like a queen...and now she is, thanks to YOU. You have a huge heart and you won't be sorry.
My Name Is Rey! I Was On Death Row Yesterday But Today I'm A Free Woman!
They know. I'm sure they know and feel much more than we can understand!
Load More Replies...They do know. I rescued one last summer from our shelter, and she had given up hope of being saved. It was not until we led her into the adopter's back yard that she realized she was free. She did a freedom race, all over the backyard, running in circles and smiling the whole time.
She must have been mistreated, the only weapon dogs can't fight is loneliness
If I knew what shelterm she was at, I wold have rescued her myself. I'm in love with this sweetie and I'm just so glad you got there in time!!! You're a great person and she (he?) Knows that? Love, hug and appreciate each other every day. I want your dog......just kidding.
Meet Waldo. From Crusty And Underweight To A Very Fluffy Boy
and I bet everyone wants one like him now, show them, how he came into your life. That's what I do with my babes pics
Another pic that makes my heart ache. I'm just sooo glad you found each other in time! You have a very special heart and I can tell Waldo"s a special boy so.....great match! You're gonna have So much fun together....don't forget daily kisses cuzz he won't :)
I honestly have no idea how humans can ever mistreat an animal that always shows unconditional love to humans.
What a beautiful dog. How sad they let him get like this and it has to be painful.
Before And After Adoption
I love happy endings, especially when they involve animals . He/she's got a full stomach and a smiling face. Couldn't ask for more .great job.
Would have been nice to been asked if y’all could use my photos, buuuut okay 🤷♀️
a love heart on her back , even that didnt help so starved and not wanted, but angels came and look now een a different colour she is shining
Meet Kasper! He's Only A Pup And Travelled All The Way From Romania To Join Us In The Uk. Has Yet To Integrate And Learn The Language. Very Good Boy Nonetheless
My dog came from Romania too. He's a little darker than this one but otherwise they look very similar.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! As a Romanian who keeps filling her home with rescued dogs and cats and whose idea of heaven would be a number for the Animal Police and the certainty that my foundlings will be well looked after, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I am sure it wasn"t an easy task to make his transfer possible so that shows extra effort on your part and THAT shows you"re very special people..Thank you for saving him! Use hand gestures and happy voice when you're teaching him English words Oh I"m sure you know that....and remember dogs just want to please you. He"s beautiful, by the way.
Before And After Adoption... Nacho The One Eyed Dog
All these pictures remind me of the cruel adds the ASPCA has :( but I'm so glad the digs are getting adopted! They have such pretty smiles! :)) and I can't go through this post without a dry eye! (Aka not crying!)
Toby At The County Shelter 2 Years Ago And Is Now King Of Our House.
In the second pic, it looks like as if he has snoozed morning alarm twice already. :P
just like our girls, and hard to believe my boy was due to be put down
"We Found Teddy’s Shelter Picture And It’s Heartbreaking. We’re So Glad He Came Into Our Lives And Is Letting His Sweet, Goofy Personality Shine! Hopefully He Knows That He’ll Be Safe, Clean, Fed, And Loved For The Rest Of His Life"
THOSE EYES! Poor baby :( glad to see someone is taking a good care of you!
Yes, corgis' amazing eyes! How could someone abandon one of this pooches when they have such cute eyes?
Load More Replies...Oh those eyes!! He's got Corgi in him? He's fit for a queen...literally it's her favorite breed. Thanks so sharing Teddy's story...and I'm so glaD you were able to Rescue him in time. He's just adorable and I'm sure you bring joy to each others' hearts every day. They make such a difference. And guess what......Teddy knows exactly who his hero's are!!
One Year Ago Today We Adopted Harper From The Fairfax Animal Shelter. She Had Been Adopted And Returned At Least Three Times In The First Year Of Her Life And Looked Alone, Scared And Confused.
You shouldn’t be able to adopt if you are going to bring them back, but I guess that is better then having them abandoned.
Maybe, it is cruel to the animal but one time I had a cat who hated my family and her life so we gave her to a no kill shelter.
Load More Replies...My husband and I just adopted a doggo that was brought back to the shelter 3 times too. No one understood her breed (Heeler) so they gave her back when she would try to herd children. It was just her nature.
i have had 2 Heelers herding is there nature but soo soooo loving and loyal
Load More Replies...When I volunteered at an SPCA, people would return dogs that couldn't be trained. Sometimes it's not the dog's fault they can't be "trained." With firm but kind guidance, almost any dog can become a great household family member! But it takes time and patience. Many don't have the time nor the patience to train a dog properly; and it is better than just abandoning them.
oh my so sad and confused how hard for these babies but look with some one who knows how to treat dogs and know how to love what a difference
People who abuse animals are the most dangerous people who walk the face of the earth.
From A Houston Stray To A Midwestern Princess
So sad that she's having to nurse, when she's not healthy herself. What happened to the pups?
I wonder if that is one of them lying on the blanket in the background of the second pic.
Load More Replies...Pups all survived and were adopted. https://www.reddit.com/r/BeforeNAfterAdoption/comments/7yi5tx/from_a_houston_stray_to_a_midwestern_princess/
My dog Ellie?? Is that dog perhaps named India? It my be my dogs sister!!
oh poor mumma still loyal to her babies but now look at her what a Queen
THANK GOD for the wonderful people who save this sad mum dog. I am sure they have made sure the puppies are okay. She looks wonderful now.
This Stray Girl Walked By My Sisters' Donkey Rescue Centre. She Couldn't Let Her Starve So She Flew Her To The Netherlands To Come Live With Us. Now She's Alive And Kicking
Aww! She was probably near death! Thank her so much for Caring for her!
OMG, this brought tears to my eyes!! God bless your sister"s huge heart and your whole family for what you did. You are very special people. She's so pretty and you can tell how happy she is!! YOU GUYS did that!!!.
Spike and Rocky. About 1 year old in this pic. That was 15 years ago and they just got a 2 year old Bully brother. They've shown him who's boss. He's shown them how to romp and play again. 2022413-2-...77858f.jpg
Dear Bored Panda, this is what I come here for. Not some ridiculous click baits, overheard conversations spread over a hundred tweets and people being shamed/praised for their parenting. Animals, positivity, adorable pictures. <3
I haven't seen stuff like that? Maybe I just scroll passed... (past) Can never figure those two out...
Load More Replies...My brain is so confused right now... Looking at the "before" pictures, I cried because of sadness. Looking at the "after", I cried of happiness. Either way, this post made me cry like a baby. Ufff....
I'm totally rubbish at this - how do I submit my picture of my dog, Baxter? Baxter-com...450337.jpg
I took a few minutes out to upvote each and every one of these not because of the before and after, but because I personally would like to thank each and every one of you for saving these animals. It just wasnt enough to vote only on the article. I hope and wish all of you the best for the kindness in your heart <333
These are so sweet, but every time I look at posts like this I can't help but think of all the others who weren't lucky enough to find a forever home. I do as much as I can (fostering for our local humane association) but it's so sad to go up there and see all the wonderful souls without families. Thankfully, ours is virtually no kill thanks to volunteer efforts, but many places aren't so lucky. To think an animal would be put to sleep just because no one wants it is so heartbreaking.
This makes me cry every moment I think about it. I'm so glad I live in a country where pets are not being killed just because nobody wants them. Also I could never go and simply buy a young dog or cat knowing there are so many others waiting for a home and love. We have two cats no one wanted and they turned out to be the sweetest furballs. Please everybody go and adopt from a shelter.
Load More Replies...To all those who choose to adopt and not shop for a dog (or cat) I sincerely thank you! As an avid rescuer and often time foster family - it breaks my heart to see how many people choose to "throw away" a dog due to being: un-trainable; too energetic; tears up my house; won't stop peeing in the house; don't have time; or the worst one in my opinion: he/she is just too old and we want a puppy.
There is a spacial corner of hall especially for those who abuse animals. So glad these doggos got a second chance with loving new owners. You guys ROCK!!
