Did you know that it's Halloween today? We here at Bored Panda certainly do, we've done everything from vintage to couple's costumes, babies, one-legged guys and pregnant women too.
Of course, there is always room for more so here is a list of some kids dressed up in their coolest costumes. These lucky boys and girls have got some seriously dedicated and creative parents on their side, and were sure to have attracted plenty of candy on their trick or treats! Perhaps you can find some last-minute inspiration here if your young-un still hasn't made their choice?
What was your favorite costume when you were a kid? Did you make it yourself, or nag the parents to make it for you? Let us know in the comments below!

Load More Replies...On one hand, this is some seriously awesome costume making. On the other, I see at least two kids that are definitely scarred for life.
I don't know, at that age, I don't think it is okay to subject other kids to that.
The kid actually IN it doesn't look too happy either. Must suck when all the other kids are so afraid of you, they won't play with or talk to you.
Load More Replies...Not a psychologist, but I think they will grow up and they will be fine. I got scared a lot when I was a kid, and Im doing well.
Oh look finally someone without a stick up there a*s! Thank you!
Load More Replies...Makes me think she will have a future in horror films or her mom will, or whoever in her family does!
I can't believe a mom would send a toddler to school this way! The other kids had to be put off!
If this is what first place is than we have lost it with our children! Their innocents are GONE!!

Holy s***, it's way too hardcore and gory for kindergardeners - that will bring most definitely nightmares during naptime.. if they manage to fall asleep!! :D (that said, the costume is pretty awesome)
This is not appropriate for kids of this age. Stuff like this scarred me for life when I was this age and is why I hate Halloween, horror movies etc. If my child had been at that event I'd have taken them home. Just no need for it at all.
Boohoo that's the point of Halloween to be scary.
Load More Replies...it's Halloween for f**k sake Karen calm the f**k down
Load More Replies...I totally agree. It absolutely can cause trauma. A child's brain doesn't have the necessary processing ability to realise that it's not real... at this age they still believe Disney characters and the characters they see on tv are real... it's the reason that films and games have age restrictions. If we force children to deal with stuff they aren't mentally and emotionally ready for,it can cause serious damage. So yes, it can be seriously traumatic for children.
Load More Replies...This is not good. these kids are too young for gross bloody head chopping costumes. Don't like it
That's annoying, I'm happy we don't have Halloween in such an extent in my country.

Many truly great costumes and many enthusiastic and hard wokring parents behind them. But I truly love the kids that want to dress up as something totally mundane, like a salad or a road or a fart. those really make me laugh.
The road and egg salad sandwich were my faves!!
Load More Replies...I purchased a simple lion costume for my son's first Halloween. He refused to wear it and went out wearing his normal clothing. When asked what he was, he said, in a no nonsense, don't mess with me voice, "I am two !" Nobody questioned him.
These are all well executed, but for too many it seems like the parent are making the kids dress up in costumes only relevant to the parents. No 4 year old should know or appreciate Game of Thrones Characters. Or Stranger Things. Some of these feel a little too much like its done to boost the parent's Social Media presence and not to make a child happy.
You'd be amazed how many things small kids pick up. And even though they don't watch the show can be totally obsessed with a poster or other image from it. I mean there is so much material out there with Jon Snow that looks very cool.
Load More Replies...WOW! Most of these are so much better and more creative than the ones in the celebrety post. And they have so much money to spend....these kids won Halloween!
These costumes are great. Many are handmade and way better than the costumes worn by the celebrities at a fraction of the price.
First, The kids dressed up as horror movie figures probably haven't seen the movies. The fun is making a cool costume to trick or treat with the parents. Second, people are missing the point. Halloween, like numerous children's tales full of blood and murder, don't teach kids about monsters. For children, the world and especially the night is full of scary monsters as it is. They teach them monsters can be confronted and defeated.
This reminded me of that one post where the mom dressed her daughter as a luxury brand purse - and the daughter looked so sad. Ah yes, all the hate I will inevitably receive, but like someone already pointed out; kids - babies and toddlers especially, are just parent's props for all the social likes.
Can we just have dressed up babies all year, please? ! And pupperdogs!
Star wars terrified me when I was little, but I was unphased by horror films. I was that kid who was scared of Santa and the Easter Bunny, but loved horror. Lol
Uh...some (not all) of these are parents and not kid ideas. I can't get behind that. I have a 3 and 4 year old. Believe me, I know what kids want to be and what they won't entertain. There are a few listed that are odd, but you know are legit because kids are funny that way, but the rest are parents forcing what they want. That's just sad.
I've appreciated horror movies ever since I was very little and it's made a lot of things easier for me now. There's a big difference between trying not to traumatize children and just sheltering them to make poorly adjusted adults.
Load More Replies...I'm pretty sure you are a good example of this in your community but in my country nobody knows you. How come??
Load More Replies...I watched Horror movies all the time as a kid. Disney and Horror Films that was it. Alien, The Mummy, Jurassic Park was my bed time movie, Poltergeist, the Shining, The Haunting, Hannibal, Dracula, Interview With A Vampire, Van Helsing. I got a book of silly ghost stories. I read Goosebumps and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark at a young age. And to this day I still love Horror Films. I grew up with Horror.
