Ouch. My horse stepped on my foot once and that was some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. Luckily I remembered that my grandpa taught me how to "pinch" their ankle and they'll lift up. I appreciate that neither group seems to be bothering other people. If you want to take pictures, even posed, I don't care. My issue with influencers is when they're pushy, loud, unsafe, or otherwise prevent others, including animals, from enjoying the place.

this is not influencer...just a f*****g moron. last week I was sitting in my hotel lobby, a guy sets himself next to me and started a video conversation with the sound on. there was no one else in the lobby. I tried to make eye contact, didn't work, started singing along very out of tune with the music that was on in the lobby, didn't work, then I called my boyfriend on speaker. he grabbed his s**t and left.

Marlena Velez, A 22-Year-Old TikTok Influencer With 300,000 Followers, Was Arrested For Theft At A Target Store In Cape Coral
On October 30, she attempted to steal merchandise worth $500 by scanning fake barcodes with lower prices at self-checkout. Velez filmed part of her theft for social media, and Target’s Loss Prevention team identified her through security footage. After the Cape Coral Police Department posted her picture online, an anonymous tip revealed her identity through her Instagram handle. She was subsequently arrested and taken to Lee County Jail, facing petit theft charges, and later reactivated her TikTok account with comments disabled.

Saw a video about this, she was just out of probation for a previous charge for shoplifting in 2023, and has a precedent for grand theft auto in 2019, so this is going to hurt. The best thing is that she posted videos from the store parking lot on the same date and time of the security footage, and later posted photos while wearing the stolen goods. The police just had to point vaguely at her content to convince the judge to proceed with the arrest.

It's no secret that a lot of people seek attention and want to gain power, sometimes for the good of humanity and sometimes not so much. It's hard to say whether being a clout chaser is right or wrong, as it's totally subjective and depends on personal values and perspectives.
However, there are times when it's objectively wrong. It's when clout chasers put themselves and others in danger when doing desperate things for views, and unfortunately, it's more frequent than we'd like it to be.

I guess just most of these don't bug me. People act like idiots all the time only now it's on camera. Unless of course it blocks traffic (including in stores like that Target picture) or it harms someone else, or of course, if it's illegal. They want to take a dumb picture at the pool or in the rain or do a dance at the airport and make fools of themselves, let them. Just don't inconvenience others by playing loud music or being in the way on purpose.

Preach it. If they aren't harming anyone, and are not obstructing someone greatly, then let them live their life as they choose. I won't be following any of them myself, but I suspect I am not their target audience. People here on BP can be so judgmental.
