I think it's supposed to be symbolism rather than a thing to be worshipped?. As in the cross is supposedly to remind us of Jesus's sacrifice for sin. (????👈 this is me having no idea but thinking I heard that somewhere and wondering what that says about me that in my head I always pronounce Jesus like "Heh-soos")

It's because Jesus died on the cross. We can't enter God's Kingdom after we die as we are sinful, we lie every day, we get angry, jealous, we are unperfect by nature, while God is perfect, holy, good and just. Jesus made this possible by coming down to Earth, living a perfect life (as He is God) but dieing as if He was a criminal. God put all His wrath on His own Son so that we can get no wrath. As Jesus rose from the dead, we can rise too, and we can live all eternity and get to know how amazing God is, just if we do these simple steps: trust in Jesus but not in our own goodness and repent for our sins. So the cross represents this awesome gift from God.

Honestly, none of it makes any sense. Most of the stories are all stolen from the Sumerians, indigenous peoples from all over the world, and pagans (names changed of course) along with the rituals. They also call their god "God," which is a generic term for a deity. Yahweh is another name for Jesus, so, there's no name for god and no one questions it - while every religion (aside from Abrahamic) or spirituality has names for their gods & goddesses. Meanwhile, using this religion as a reason to kill, rape, steal, colonize, etc. Seems to me, using the cross would be right on par.

Sad to say, but growing up Christian (I am no longer) and seeing all the Christian artwork, I really did think that white was the default color of mankind.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.❤ Although we sin and do wrong, He loves us so much that He rather gave up on His only Son rather than on us. We weren't even born then! Good and just God won't let evil enter His presence so we can't go to heaven when we die. But Jesus made this possible by suffering and dieing so that God's wrath can lie not on us but on Him. If we trust in Him and repent, God will grant us everlasting life and the priviledge to get to know Him.❤ The cross represents not only the death (which is good because otherwise we couldn't enter holy God's Kingdom) but also the ressurection which means that we can rise up too.

God is one in being but three in person. I know it's hard to understand but it's actually one God. All three have their own possition (God is the Creator and the "manager of the Earth", Jesus is our best friend who died for us, Spirit is who dwells on Earth and in whom we can feel God's presence). The Bible is God's word given for us to understand the Truth (we can't find any clearer truth in the world). Jesus was murdered, but it has a meaning. We all do wrong (lie, get angry, jealous, blaspheme) so we can't be with God when we die as He is holy and good and just. But Jesus dieing and ressurecting means that we can rise up too because our sins are forgiven. God's wrath was lied on Jesus but not on us. We can spend the eternity with God only if we repent and trust in Jesus. Because if we don't choose Him now, we won't get Him after we die. And we will die the second time from the hand of living God who will judge us. We need a Saviour!

The cross means that God chose to give up on His own son rather than give up on us. He loves us so much. If anybody has ever sinned one single time, they can't enter God's kingdom as He is good and perfect and just. So He can't let evil in and will judge us. But there was a plan for Jesus to die so that when God looks at us He doesn't see sin anymore but He sees Jesus and tells us: 'my beloved son'. Jesus took our sin, our sadness, our anger and rose from the dead so that we will too. If we accept this as truth and repent for our sins we will live the eternity and get to know how awesome God is❤ But if we don't trust in Him, we will have no choise than to fall into hands of living God after we die and it isn't going to end well. Because if we don't need Him, then He won't need us in His glory in the eternity.

It was a metaphor used by Jesus, but the Ankh was similar and the Tau was used in Old Testament times. The cross is not Christian, like Easter and Christmas, was adopted later to appease the Pagans.

We worship the ressurection because Jesus made it possible for us sinners spend the eternity with holy God by taking off our sins.
