There are some brands that also go out of their way to make their logos or clothes funny and ironic. It can be inside jokes for a certain demographic of people, or a commentary on glamorous fashion labels.
When Balenciaga released their absurdly over-priced towel skirt, Ikea trolled them by promoting its affordable bath towel as a skirt and “spring fashion essential.”
It led to online conversations about overpriced products by certain brands and how ridiculous some of their clothes are.
Humor in fashion also gives us some food for thought, and these unusual designs can often start bigger conversations about trends and culture.

Apparently I forgot to remove the placeholder text I added to the back while designing it.

The studio says some of the most surprising trends that worked are those that looked funny at first, but somehow they caught the attention of fashion lovers and became a hit.

I have a Christmas serape/cape thing that has tinsel sewn into the edges. It says "TINSEL TỈTTỈES" on it. When I wore it to work when I was working at the grocery store, I sewed on a large cat-shaped patch over the second word to make it "work safe". So, now it is: "TINSEL KITTIES". XD I'll take a photo and post it in a reply-comment to my own comment XD

You guys have seen enough photos of me over time to know that I prefer to dress... "quirky". XD My ex said I was trying to make "dressing quirky" my personality (in the same way that "women who dye their hair blue" are making that their personality, according to him.) I am now single and I wear what I want XD I'm going to a concert with my mother tomorrow night and, even though I'm wearing a normal flower-print dress, my purse is a cat. It looks like a real cat. I'll take photos. It's great. I freak people out during intermission by holding it on my lap and petting it XD
