Gaby Griggs is the artist behind Toast and Triangles, a comic series that mixes simple drawings with clever humor. Using colorful stick-figure characters shaped like circles, triangles, and other playful forms, she creates stories that are both funny and relatable.
Gaby's comics explore everyday situations with a twist: dealing with writer’s block, receiving compliments, navigating life with a disability, or simply capturing the awkward moments we all experience. Her work is a reminder that even the smallest moments can carry both comedy and connection.

Reminds me of a shopping trip to Payless Shoesource when I was young. I brought a pair of shoes up to my mom and said "Can I get these? They're cheap." The middle-aged customer service rep/cashier immediately came over from the aisle next door and corrected me: "They aren't CHEAP, they are INEXPENSIVE!" A lesson I will never forget and laughingly employ when shopping with friends and family to this day, 40+ years later.
Spend the entire rest of the day trying to work out if it was a real genuine compliment, or some sort of coded "you suck" presented as something that sounds like a compliment. Then lie in bed staring at the ceiling all night long *still* going over it. What did you do to deserve a compliment? What did you do to annoy them to the point of wanting to tell you that you suck, but in a passive-aggressive way. That's it, isn't it? I suck. Something I did su*ks. Because nobody randomly offers compliments these days... unless they want something... what could they want? Or maybe I do just suck? Am I okay with that? Maybe, I think I suck too. But.... [and so on, until the alarm signals that it is time to get up]
Personal Pet Theory: A good looking ID card/passport photo is a fake. If, instead, you look bleary-eyed and like the cat shagged your head while you were sleeping, then it's a real photo.
I can only sleep on my side. But because of my back, I turn over loads of times in the night. Sometimes I have to get up and go for a walk and then I can settle down again without so much back pain...and hope I can still get some sleep.
POV: It's allergy season and your snot did that annoying thing where it goes down the throat.
