"I PRONOUNCE YOU FIREPAW" "COMMENCE LEADER-APPRENTICE NOSE BOOP!"
As technology connects the online world with the real world, Google Street View has become like a modern window to this mix. Launched in 2007, it started with American cities, capturing the first images of streets, landmarks, and neighborhoods. It quickly grew into a global endeavor, mapping streets and landscapes around the world.
Google Street View lets us virtually walk on streets in faraway places, check out charming areas, and even see bits of how people live around the world. It's within these digital wanderings that the team behind "Seen On Maps" has found a treasure trove of hilarity and unexpected moments.
One can stumble upon a lot of hilarious or peculiar incidents on the streets. Thanks to technology, you don’t necessarily need to leave your home to experience them. For example, in 2010, Google Street View captured a man in a horse mask in Aberdeen, Scotland in the Hardgate area of the city. This sparked various online memes and speculations.
Animals interacting with Google Street View cars have also led to some comical moments. There have been instances of curious dogs chasing the camera car, cats lounging on sidewalks, and even a camel wandering the streets of Dubai.
What do you think about these pictures? Have you ever seen something funny on the streets yourself? Every story adds a unique brushstroke to the colorful canvas of everyday life. So don't hesitate to tell yours in the comments and let the streets unfold their tales through your eyes!
If I drill another hole in the bottom of the boat the water can drain through it.
Out of shot is a representative of North Dakota charging the other way, about to lock horns.
This is very similar to one of the adapted trolleys they use at my local supermarket. Only difference is instead of the bike pedals, it has a motor.
The crash was caused when the car got distracted after it lit the filter end of the cigarette.
Mexico's roads are almost nonexistent, except in big cities. Even then, there's no stop signs or traffic lights. Need to cross an intersection? Good luck. Oh and insurance is *optional*.
Load More Replies...I know a street in germany that looks worse than that. It has potholes in potholes in potholes.....
Roads like this always remind me of Hungary in the 90s.
Load More Replies...I was just gonna comment: Belgium has some prime examples of roads like this as well!
Load More Replies...Actually, that isn't too bad for the UK. At least some attempt has been made to patch it up.
I can think of MANY roads in the city I live in (USA) that look like that, or worse because of potholes.
After reading all of these, I really think we have FINALLY found something that unites us all, the lousy state of our roads!
I find the solidarity of all these comments about s****y roads from all over the world kinda heartwarming. Finally something we can all agree on. :)
We’ve currently got some road resurfacing going on near our home which is a long, almost perfectly smooth road, instead of fixing the uneven smaller roads nearby. The management of road repairs is really stupid - they have plenty of money but blow it on unnecessary bureaucracy and stupid decisions. Just drive around and fix potholes. Skip all the paperwork for one specific hole. (UK)
This is what a lot of the streets look like after the repair/construction/patching in my town in PA, you would think they’ll come back to re-pave
Can we all just agree that wherever we live it's pothole city/town/village/cow paddock.
All Bermuda roads look like this, as they are constantly digging up bits the roads to access burst pipes etc and/or pot holes have formed, so they just fill in the potholes with asphalt!!!
You clearly have not been to South Africa - you need to travel more, kid.!
No, I drove on one like this for several years before it was replaced. I'm in the US.
No. They look like this all along Interstate 40. And Phoenix, AZ
Looks pretty common in Pennsylvania. Needs more potholes, though.
Ha Ha. Amateurs. Some roads are so bad in NZ that my dashcam thinks I've been in an accident and starts emergency recording...🤣
In the US too. They only make the “important” roads look nice. Like the ones around American football stadium, those are important 😒
You haven’t seen a rural road in the US have you. There’s a reason why most of us drive all terrain vehicles 😂
Here, it happens when the region decides to change the pipes and asphalt everything back, then a month later the city comes around because something else needs to be done and then they just patch it up because it's not in their job description. Sometimes it's vice-versa. But you can be sure that if a street is redone, it's going to look this bad a month or two down the road.
In Italy we don't have them like this... We don't even repair them!
Arizona too! When I moved here 15 years ago, I was AMAZED at how well the roads were taken care of. Now, if we have more than 1 glass claim I'm 3 years (because of all the flying rocks), our rates go up and we run the risk of non-renewal
I beg to differ, we have roads that bad in San Antonio, and some worse.
Pretty much every road near my home in upstate NY looks like this.
The arcitecture, the number plates on the cars, the road markings, the Sainsbury’s in the background? 😂
Load More Replies...I'm in the UK and my road is waaaayyyy worse than that.
Hell that’s a good road compared to some I have to drive on. I live in south Louisiana. We have some of the WORST roads in the country
Gonna be stating the obvious, but this is photoshopped, not "found on google maps"
No leathers = no skin, *shudder*, but at least he's wearing a helmet ...
Note: this post originally had 45 images. It’s been shortened to the top 40 images based on user votes.
This post is titled wrong. It should be photoshopped things seen on google maps. There is NO way most of these are real.
of course I don't know for sure but, I think more than half of them are "real" but I also think many of them were staged in response to seeing the Google car coming.
Load More Replies...At least half of them are fake, wich makes them a much more less funny 😐
#26 isn't funny. I can't even imagine their injuries (if they're even still alive).

The problem with using "a Twitter page" as a source is half the photos are either staged or photoshopped. It's like all the "according to Reddit" articles on some sites - anyone can post anything to Twitter and Reddit, they should never be used as a source.
why do y'all think posts are fake? (serious q, am autistic. please explain)
