Parenting is not an easy task, those who have done it will know that's a fact. Despite our best intentions, it can sometimes go a little awry and little mistakes can be made with the poor little kiddies on the receiving end.
Bored Panda has compiled a list of these fails, nothing serious but definitely relatable and all of them will give you those slightly guilty kind of giggles. Scroll down below to check them out and don't forget to vote for your favourite!

I Was Spitting Sunflower Seeds Out The Window On The Way Home But I Guess They Found Their Way Back In The Car
....you were spitting out sunflower seeds out the window. There's where you failed!
Yes, yes. Much better to put them in a plastic garbage bag and send them to a landfill. *eye roll*
Load More Replies...What's wrong with spitting a biodegradable plant seed shell out the window?
I think the focus should go on spitting out the window, not on the what was spat out the window. Lets remove the sunflower seed from this. Doesn't matter if its biodegradable or not. The parent was spitting out the window. your opinions on this?
Load More Replies...Um hey guys, the fail was the seeds coming back into the car and getting stuck on the little girl, not the actual act of spitting them out of the window.
Lol it's because people on the internet get triggered over the tiniest things such as this ;p
Load More Replies...People on this thread need to get a grip! It could have been worse, something like cigarette butts maybe?
Well, things can *always* be worse, but is that a legitimate excuse?
Load More Replies...OMG this is hysterical...lol...I must be a horrible mom....hahahaahahahahahaha
Well, the biggest fail is that she doesn't seem to be wearing the seat belt...
It's on, but not safely. Just over the lap is nowhere near secure enough for anyone, let alone a child in a car seat.
Load More Replies...Well the sunflower seeds might just settle into the soil somewhere and grow sunflowers. Or they will just deteriorate back into nature. I'd hardly call this littering. It isn't plastic or styrofoam or cigarette butts. Good grief, people, get a grip.
Sunflower shells don’t grow into flowers, and especially not on pavement or freeway. Just because something is biodegradable doesn’t mean it belongs on out roads.
Load More Replies...Omg all I can say is every time I see this picture I’m pissed !!! I am Beyond the point that a child can post a picture of her sister on the Internet and it go viral in minutes. Yes this is cute and funny it is. But I also know and no parent did her father or mother have any part of this picture. Her sister took it. Posted it. Went viral and hours. We as parents had no knowledge of this.
HAHA this is hilarious but yes you should just put em in a cup and throw them away when your vehicle isn’t moving preferably in dirt
Who does that? Use a bag that's in your lap. Don't be a litterbug
The real parenting fail is not having the seatbelt across that little girls chest where it belongs. She could easily be killed in an accident this way.
I’d prefer someone spit out the window then in the car!!! Now people can’t even spit??? People are very sensitive. Poor little souls!!
What a moron father. Why didn't he spit them in his hand or something...a bag, anything.
As a former BC forestry vegetation management worker, I can tell you that it takes ten years for a sunflower seed to dissolve. Not very responsible of you spitting the seeds out' I don't find what you did funny at all, sorry.

Note To Self, Don't Let Baby Fall Asleep On You After You Spray Tan If You Do Not Want Said Baby To Have A Half "Tanned" Face The Next Morning.
Do not use chemicals such as tan spray near babies! Many will even get rashes from detergent perfumes etc. People really require more education on how harmful many every day substances are. Interestingly, while things we care for ("dirt") typically are totally harmless to babies.

Why are these called parenting fails? It's just parenting. Good luck finding a parent whose child never fell on their face, never ate something they're not supposed to, never had a tantrum, etc. All those things are just part of life.
why is the dad in the restaurant bad, is it so wrong for kids to strip down to their nappies in the heat? or am I missing the point.
Load More Replies...Just because folks take cute pictures of their kids doesn't automatically mean they don't love and hold their children.
Load More Replies...Parenting fails are great, and I guess our children will forgive us, for many of these fails ultimately come from the love for the children and the strive to care for them. A few entries, however, reflect selfishness and ignorance on the parents' side. Hard to not be judgemental in these cases, particularly if thoughtlessly endagering the children is proudly posted on the Web as a mere mishap.
It's been 20 years and I still cringe over some of my screwups. Nice to be able to look back and laugh at myself too
There's a lot of judgemental people on this page. It's bloody hard parenting and these people are letting us all know we're not monsters!
Thank you sooo much! I came here after the "grandparents meeting their grandchil(dren) for the first time" and all the ninja cutting onion that went with it.Now, I can't stop laughing. Feel better.
#4 Am I supposed to feel amused seeing this? That's littering, and I feel bad for the little girl having such parents.
As hard as I laughed at some of these (15, 17), I think the bigger parenting fail is subjecting your child to having his or her photo taken rather than remedying the errant situation. I realize many of these photos came about as the parents attempted to capture a happy memory and things didn’t go as expected, but leaving your kid with soggy sunflower seed shells stuck to her face or standing in wet shorts in a puddle of his own urine (just for example, because there were other offenders) so that you can document the mishap seems more cruel than kind. For many of these I got much the same feeling that I did when I used to catch bits of America’s Funniest Home Videos where most of the submissions were of people—including a lot of kids—tripping or getting hit with some flying object. Maybe the videographer’s first instinct was to see if the person was alright, but why was it followed by the need to air the injury on national television so millions of people can laugh at their misfortune?
