I had to chew my parents out for a couple years, before they finally caught on that I desperately needed them to call out they were home when they came in, because they kept terrifying me. I'd hear a door, then silence, or foot steps, but they couldn't be bothered to say, "It's me, I'm home!".
If they really cared, they would have done that the next time they came home after that. They enjoyed f*****g with your head. Sorry you had to go through that for years with two callous fucktards for parents.
