In his 1920s work Psychological Types, Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung popularized the terms "introverted" and "extroverted" describing personality types. Introverts recharge by spending time alone, and they lose energy if they're around people for long periods. Extroverts, on the other hand, gain strength from social interactions and actually exhaust themselves if they're alone. Both of these types have their good and their less perfect qualities, so there's no point in arguing which side would win in the Introvert VS. Extrovert battle.

I'm an extrovert attending a college where ALL my classmates are introverts. Improbable? Maybe. But for me it's just as much of a hell as vice-versa. Feels like no one wants to hang-out, ever, and no one cares that you exist. Luckily I've got a lot of friends outside my college to make-up for it.
I'm an introvert, but I love hanging out with extroverts. Because they talk, and I listen. Because they lead and I can follow. Because they raise my self confidence. Because I'm simply in awe of them lol. All my friends and boyfriends (and now my husband) are/have been extroverts. On the other hand, extroverts also need to be nice, friendly, and understand I need some alone moments or they'll go straight to my hated list. I either love them or hate them, can't do in between!!
