This Woman Surprises People With Her Incredible Cosplays (40 New Pics)
Interview With ArtistWho said that age is not a limit? They are very right! The pursuit of dreams should not end at a mature age and Marina Badianova is a great example of that. This 59-year-old woman surprises people with her incredible cosplays. With the help of professional photographers, she brings to life expressive characters from history, folklore, and fairy tales.
Marina creates the costumes herself and in this article, we want to show some new outfits that this crafty woman has made. For more of her amazing cosplays, check out the previous article on Bored Panda by clicking here.

Do the colours stand for anything specific? The only place I recognise these colors from is the genderqueer flag, but I doubt that's what it stands for in this image
They are the colours used by the suffragette movement. The purple represents the royal blood that flows in the veins of suffragettes, the white for purity and green for spring which represents hope

Bored Panda got in touch with Marina to get to know more about her and the costumes she's making. Looking at all these different characters and styles, we got curious about where the talented woman gets inspiration for the outfits. Marina told us that her outfit ideas arise on their own, from memories, according to the plots of books, films, and children's stories.
After looking at all these pictures, I have so many questions|! How long did it take her to make all these costumes? Are the backgrounds photoshopped in? Where did she get all her accessories? What? Where? How? Why is she not famous?
We bet that you, pandas, are curious how long it takes for Marina to create one complete outfit. So were we! It seems that the woman works at the speed of light because it takes around 15 minutes for her to create an image of a costume and she can sew a dress and a headdress in one day!
I'm sure there are others but here is one Google Image Search. https://a.co/d/3o5tjnw

This woman is awesome! I hope to be like that when I get there. You could tell she has a fun personality.
That's is it. The best photo. I don't need to see the rest. I love her.
Marina shared with us that she is self-taught. However, she learned to sew hats in courses for retirees. The woman sews all her outfits with a needle (without a sewing machine) which is even more astonishing when you know that she can complete an outfit in one day!
She’s so beautiful, she could star in a movie too

Ancient Rome maybe? Please add the eras these are supposed to be.
Really gorgeous reenactment outfit (if that is indeed what it is). I would love to know what century and what country/culture she is representing in this outfit.
Looking at all the costumes, we got curious about how many of them Marina has already made and where she fits all of them. The woman has sewed a lot of clothes so she doesn't remember the exact number. She keeps all of her outfits in boxes, gives some away, and makes new outfits out of some of them. She also added that all the closets in her house are full!
I really hope that this woman is a member of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) or reenactment group because her historical outfits are lovely.
I don't know why but when I first looked at this I thought of the painting The Milkmaid by Vermeer. I have no idea why that came to mind but it just did.
This one looks very Game Of Thrones to me. What an amazing designer she is.
If sherlock holmes had a secretary.... I'd imagine she'd look like this.
Why would she be the secretary of a male detective and not a detective herself? Maybe she is dressed up as Agatha Cristie. That was actually my first thought.

In those days a woman showing her ankles was scandalous! You go lady!
This one looks like a painting by some exceptionally gifted artist. Breathtaking to be honest.
And her props! Not to mention locations. Oh ... I mentioned.

You be careful to listen to this woman. She knows many things
A nun, as you can see she's wearing a cross with jesus on it, and It wouldn't be around during mary's time
Load More Replies...Idk about that, I have a verrrry similar parasol in black

Thank you, Bored Panda staff for changing the headline! 😍

Gorgeous costumes. This woman shows that you are never too old to play a game of 'dress-up.' I wonder if she does historical reenactment as well as she has some really beautifully made historical outfits.
