35 ‘The European Mind Can’t Comprehend This’ Memes To Confuse And Amuse You (New Pics)
InterviewSocial media can be a bafflingly hilarious place at times. It’s very hard to guess what memes will go viral (or why!). Nor can we ever be certain what will end up becoming a part of internet culture in the long run. However, the relatability of a meme is one major factor to keep in mind. Case in point, ‘The European Mind Can’t Comprehend This’ memes continue to raise eyebrows as they both amuse and confuse internet users in the United States and Europe.
To put it simply, these witty and slightly self-deprecating memes are a way for Americans to gently poke fun at European culture—as well as their own—by showing how different they think they are. The entire point is to post something from the US that might (semi-ironically) ‘shock’ someone living in Europe. Scroll down for the freshest memes and a reminder about how strange internet humor can get.
Bored Panda reached out to Substack blogger and X (formerly Twitter) user @JSlaughterEsq, one of the people who created some of the first 'The European Mind Can't Comprehend This' memes. He was kind enough to share some of his thoughts about the popularity of these memes, as well as American culture and self-perception. You'll find his insights below.

No. No. Let me tell you the correct response. F**K YEAH!!!
Load More Replies...This looks delicious. Biscuits and gravy is fantastic for breakfast or dinner.
ngl, the white gravy with the sausage lumps always puts me off because it looks a bit vomit-esque, but yet.. I'd still be willing to try it.
Some places just give you the white gravy, but it's like eating paste without sausage.
Load More Replies...This looks more like a bechamel sauce than gravy too me but whatever rocks your boat...
Similar to each other, white Southern sausage gravies don't have cheese in them though.
Load More Replies...As a Dutchie, I can say that southern biscuits with the gravy are quite tasty, but a whole bowl of them?
Well, they're tiny. My dad took stale biscuits & lard to school for lunch in the 40s.
Load More Replies...Southernees don't eat their biscuits and gravy that way. The biscuits are split and the gravy is spooned (or poured) over them. That said, I would eat those mini biscuits dipped in gravy.
They would probably be even crispier. My mom used to take leftover biscuits the next day, then open face them with cheese on top & put in the toaster oven. Even better.
Load More Replies...Substack blogger and X user @JSlaughterEsq shared his thoughts with Bored Panda about why 'The European Mind Can't Comprehend This' memes have been such a big hit on the internet.
“I believe the meme is popular with Americans because we have something similar to an inferiority complex, and the meme allows us to project our culture as something that is too extreme, rugged, or masculine for Europeans,” he shared his perspective.
"It is partly a defense mechanism but simultaneously speaks to the reality that America has a rugged spirit that appears nonexistent in Western Europe."
904 area code - Jacksonville FL. Which tracks. But having lived in TX for 9 years...also valid.
Load More Replies...Nope, I’m a Brit and I’m not surprised at all, in fact the only thing that would surprise me is if I went into that gun shop and the gun wasn’t deep fried
Topped with white sausage gravy and mashed potatoes just like grandma use to make
Load More Replies...While this American mind can comprehend them. This American body dies everything within it's power to avoid them, especially the klassy ones that offer to sell a gun for Valentine's Day.
not even the american mind can begin to fathom the american strip mall
And thank whoever is responsible for our existence we couldn't.
There is a difference between the people and nature. Its a true thing that if iguanas get too cold they basically go into a coma like state to stay alive
Load More Replies...We had a few weeks of randomly exploding toads in Hamburg when I moved here.
Some internet users who see these sorts of memes take them a tad too personally. We were curious to get the blogger's thoughts on how everyone can learn to take these memes, as well as themselves, slightly less seriously.
"I think people need to realize there is truth in most memes—that is why they are funny, and that laughing at our differences is a way for us to better understand each other," @JSlaughterEsq said.
What's even more messed up is that they used to (still might) remove the doors entirely in boys bathrooms.
I really doubt that anybody really gives this much thought, outside a minuscule percentage of people losing their minds over "the gap".
We don't understand it either. I absolutely detest using public restrooms for this very reason.
Oh, so that’s what the fuss is about. Stop staring through the gap, you perv. 😁
"Washroom". I do have to giggle. In Aus or UK it's a lav, loo, dunny or shitter. Washroom sounds more suited to a laundrette
Load More Replies...I am American and have never seen a two story Taco Bell before now....where is this located?
I've eaten Taco Bell and can't believe they're still a going concern let alone have 4 lane drive throughs.
Vegas should just be considered it's own planet now that Pluto opened up a slot.
Yep. I live in the area and the Luxor be having a Doritos ad on it half the time.
Load More Replies...Is it to take away the stench? That place smells awful inside.
The blogger also shared a few thoughts about the possible culture shocks that someone from Europe might face when they visit the United States for the very first time.
"The size of the US is something that may shock most Europeans," he said. "Visiting New York is not the same as visiting Alabama. It would be similar to visiting Germany and comparing that experience to Spain."
He added that the Southern US is incredible when it comes to hospitality. "Many Europeans would be shocked at how friendly Southerners are. Plus, the gun culture is something most Europeans cannot seem to understand.”
HA! Be glad you don't have to! They are scary, demolishing one house and leaving the house next to it standing.
I recommend googling tornadoes in EU. Germany alone has an average of 47 twisters a year.
Load More Replies...Deadly tornadoes that cause mass devastation and many deaths are rarer in Europe than they are in the American Midwest/Tornado Alley.
Load More Replies...I grew up in the Pacific Northwest & tornadoes terrify me. Not that earthquakes aren't their own special kind of horror.
Childhood in the Midwest around Tornado Alley. Never hit by one, but terrified of them to this day.
Load More Replies...I saw one of these out my front door twice last year. Both tornados came within a month of each other. Really not looking forward to this spring and summer. I live in tornado alley and this wild weather is making tornadoes come more often.
Thankfully the tornado that ran through my back yard was only an F1 and it still leveled my neighbors house. I never thought I would see one close enough to shake hands with it.
We get those in Australia, but usually only when there's bushfires. So of course the tornados are also usually made of fire.
This is how you know it's going to have the one product you can't find anywhere. These things.
It's hilarious, I wish more stores would be that creative
Load More Replies...Sadly, this is real. We have vendors spending hours each month changing them. Right now 7-up is a giant shamrock.
It's pretty good in Aus but we don't have these giant cookies
Load More Replies...Dang it, now I want a huge cookie. Justin, are you free at the moment?
Load More Replies...For a second there, I thought this was an option for bread for their sandwiches. I mean, the bread is considered to be cake.
Of course not. But they would understand a 6025 kilojoule product meant to share.
The trend to create and (re)share ‘The European Mind Can’t Comprehend This’ memes first started taking root on the X social network less than a year ago.
At the core of the meme is the idea of posting jokes about real or perceived cultural differences between living in the United States and the European continent.
According to Know Your Meme, the earliest recorded version of a ‘The European Mind Can’t Comprehend This’ meme was spotted on July 27, 2023. The post on X featured performer Micahel ‘Chili Dawn’ Castleberry, who played the guitar using a beer bottle, using it as a slide. That particular post, made by user @TPropositi (now @JSlaughterEsq, whom we got in touch with), got 26k likes in a month.
May I see the list of ingredients please? Just to check exactly how many of them are likely to kill me in the long run.
Europerson here: had to Google all this. Mountain Dew Baja Blast is a soft drink flavour. Just that.
gelato was invented in Europe. sure, we may not have mountain dew flavour but still, dozens of flavours at a good gelato shop, ( obviously, same goes for ice cream, my favourite is blueberry atm x3) It's completely comprehendible xD
Mmm, some radioactive Baja Blast. Yeah, that sounds like it would Baja BLAST my intestines.
As a fellow American, I agree. Especially seeing as neither extract is even green (mint extract is clear)
Load More Replies...I can't believe this is a thing. I'm so glad that I live it at least so where this is not a thing. Most of these things, as an American, I can't comprehend either. It's weird and embarrassing to see this sh!t.
I'm one of those people that likes mint choc chip ice cream, but this.. this just looks like nuclear waste.
Actually many European countries have rare monster truck tours (shows? whatever they are called), but one or two days per year is more than enough to entertain everyone inrerested.
lol, my friend is actually at a monster truck show in Manchester today with his son, (hot wheels monster trucks live)... it looks cool, but.. probably too much noise for my liking i'd imagine xD
Load More Replies...My kid loves these things. I've taken him three or four times a year for the past four years. Smell like diesel for days afterwards.
Most of them run nitromethane, blows your ears out and burns your eyes if you're too close.
Load More Replies...I took my son and some friends for his 6th birthday (a friend of mine gifted the tickets) and was deaf for about 3 days afterwards. Never again.
MONSTER TRUUUUUCK! oh, I'm not American... 'golly gosh what a large automobile, let's hope they do not drive it in a dramatic manner'
I clearly remember being in a TGIFs (hosts desire, not mine) in Berlin and a monster truck jam was on tv and the whole bar area was cheering
Two days later, after that popular post, the meme took its first steps toward even greater virality. X user @rob_mcsta shared a photo of an ice box with the tag ‘The European Mind Can’t Comprehend This’ and got 3k likes in a month. Things ramped up after that. On September 4, user @powerbottomdad1 shared a screenshot of how long it takes to travel from NYC to LA by car, getting 67k likes in just two days.
In response, some X social network users started posting ‘The American Mind Can’t Comprehend This’ memes. Some popular examples of this meme, which got thousands of likes on the platform, included pictures of a handle being used to crack open the top of the window, as well as a European Union ID card.
I have two boxes of these in my freezer. So stupid. So nonsensical. But so good!
Well we don't have grape jelly in the UK our grapes either come in bags to eat or in a bottle. 🍇🍷
They serve these as meals in schools. But it’s the size of a pastry and not much better for you
- Pb&J sandwitches are disgusting - Why no crusts? - Is it a snack? Luch? for breakfast? - Who in their right mind would keep sandwitches in their freezer????
Alligator. Says right on the sign. Boudin is a type of sausage. So, to wit, sausage made from alligator meat.
Load More Replies...I'll have an alligator soup and make it snappy! Lol
Load More Replies...Yeah, Ranch dressing is big here. I'm guilty of putting ranch on lots of things... save salads. I prefer Italian or vinaigrette.
Is everything else outlawed or...? I mean, I wouldn't put it past ANY given US state legislature, you know.
Load More Replies...I'm an American. I hate ranch and I'm definitely in the minority. That c**p is everywhere. I couldn't escape it if I wanted, and I do
Many folks enjoy these memes, as evidenced by the constant stream of activity on the X social network. X users love making new memes. Other internet users, however, aren’t such big fans of the concept behind ‘The European Mind Can’t Comprehend This.’ They believe that the memes are ‘evidence’ that one culture is ‘better’ than the other. Or they see it as an ‘attack’ on American or European culture. This can’t be further from the truth.
LOL it's not in the US, it's in Ontario - why get damp ogling Niagara Falls with this bad boy down the road? Move over US! (Though if BP asked for "American" eyesores, it would be a win.)
Yeah, that's Canada, which is American if you mean North American, but not if you mean 'Murica
WTF is that at? I've driven millions of miles back and forth across the U.S and never seen THAT.
It's not in the USA. This is Niagara Falls Ontario Canada. Google Clifton Hill.
Load More Replies...I want to know from actual Europeans, does this make you want to cry or are you jealous
For me, it's like with many things in the US. On the surface it looks really cool. You always have the greatest, biggest, highest, most deep fried of everything. But once you think about it, it makes you feel grateful for the existence of the Atlantic ocean. Great to visit once in a while for thrills, but too crazy to live there.
Load More Replies...Sorry but I have to say that the correct way Is me neither
Load More Replies...Americans are sick of the American flag. If you see someone flag crazy, run away, they are probably MAGA cultists.
Lol, I just had this conversation the other day. Several of my friends who are veterans loathe the MAGA cult for making it so any sane person assumes anyone flying the flag or wearing any "tactical" clothing is a right wing terrorist.
Load More Replies...The flag worship-complex seems like a kid who constantly wants to check his jocks to make sure he hasn't lost his w**g.
I can't comprehend the flag overload in this country either. I don't like it. There's no need to worship the flag. It's a flag.
Maybe open a history book once in a while and you “may” be able to comprehend all of the people that☠️ for my 🇺🇸
Load More Replies...They were going to build one in Stratford East London but it appears to have been cancelled due to local opposition. Can't say I disagree.
There is a rumor that the one here in Vegas is losing money. If true, that probably helped keep the one in London from being built. I'm glad for the people there that don't have to deal with it. I'd heard it was to be built near housing. We live 20 miles from the strip and can see the Sphere no problem. I can't imagine living right next to it.

Load More Replies...This was total satire. For crying out loud, this is reaching.
Its satire but people from Massachusets take their Dunkin' Dounuts very seriously.
Load More Replies...Visited New Hampshire once, every verbal driving direction involved a Dunkin landmark.
Hello Massachusetts! I thought it was funny too. Ridiculous but funny.
Load More Replies...Most of these content creators only ever make these memes to make people laugh and smile. They do this by sharing spot-on insights, purposefully exaggerating cultural differences, or using irony to hone in on popular stereotypes. This doesn’t mean that we should celebrate low-level humor (it’s important to be honest with ourselves about what is and isn’t funny).
However, it does mean that we owe it to ourselves not to be overly serious about something as straightforward as silly internet pics. Travel broadens the mind, and if anything, these memes are an invitation for everyone to expand their cultural horizons.
No, we'll hold it in the evidence locker until the trial.
Load More Replies...Wonder why they stole it? It's not like it would keep for long and if you had a freezer big enough to store it, you could presumably just make your own ice?
It won’t be ice after it’s in the evidence room. “Your Honor, we can’t prove the defendant stole anything, as the evidence melted.”
Check out a 2004 Indie documentary called "Super Size Me" if you haven't already seen it.
Load More Replies...Yup. Obesity with a side of heart disease. It used to be a cheap, albeit unhealthy, option for young people, students, etc but now it's almost the same price as eating at (some) sit down restaurants.
Upvoted you to counteract people who can't stand facts
Load More Replies...I'm an American and I've never had a double Big Mac in my life. I've probably had one regular Big Mac in my life and I didn't finish it. Prices are so high these days you can get a lot better burger for the same price as fast food burgers. .
Yeah in n out burgers are so much better, cost half as much, and they pay their people much more.
Load More Replies...That thing is regular menu down here in Oz. It costs more than that though, I think around 10 dollarydoos (been a while since I've had maccas).
And the funniest part, if you drive around aus a lot like me, you’ll notice in the city they advertise the single Big Mac or quarter pounder then you drive 2-3 hrs out rural and the signs advertised road side are doubles and then you get to ‘outback’ / ‘ bum fùck no where’ and they have triple or quadruple quarter pounders on the signs 😂 it’s funny
Load More Replies...Better not to comprehend McD's at all -- the last burger I got there (decades ago) was grey.
Yeah their food keeps getting worse too, it's a winter they haven't put themselves out of business already.
Load More Replies...Wanting a bigger burger? Gee, couldn't possibly understand such a thing.
Where are u getting a DOUBLE big Mac first of all? 2nd, where are u getting one for $6.99?? That's less than the price of a single one where I live in Arizona lol.
We have Costco in Spain and other Spanish supermarkets as Carrefour, Alcampo,
Gold is a scam. If the economy crashes you aren't going to be eating gold.
The obsession with gold is fascinating. Do you actually get the gold bar? If not, it’s just like any other “buy gold” scheme where all you really own is a certificate that says you own gold. Second of all, in a real emergency, gold is every bit as worthless as any other form of currency.
My local Costco in Australia has a display of a number of coffins near the checkout. (Checkout - geddit?)
Most of us probably know that all cultures have their pros and cons. A big part of humor means being self-aware and comfortable enough to accept reality and to gently make fun of our own flaws.
In this case, this means acknowledging that one’s culture might not be ‘perfect’ and embracing those quirks with the help of some lighthearted content. It’s meant to be amusing, not analytical.
I think it's a matter of personality. My husband and I are completely practical so would never waste our time on this nonsense. But others prefer things to look a certain way and good for them!
Load More Replies...(Picture of a dinner plate) “the European mind can’t comprehend this.”
This is one of those rare things that you can be sexist about and be correct 99% of the time. For example, the statement "most American men don't comprehend this either" is only going to have exceptions that prove the rule.
I got taken to an outback steakhouse when I visited some friends in the US. Good lord I could not stop laughing. From the decor to the menu, it was clear that no one involved in the franchise had ever seen a picture of australia, much less visited.
Load More Replies...am i right in assuming it's a "blooming onion"? heck, I've even made this before.
And I will raise you the Yorkshire pudding, America! Oooh shots fired
I am so looking forward to eating that when we visit England this spring! I'm actually more excited about trying your food than seeing the sites. Lol
Load More Replies...Upvote for my city, some of my great-grandfather's last words spoken on this earth were "just take me down to Hennepin ave. one more time"
My dad used to go into Moby d***s when he was a young man. The whale of a drink was a rum and coke in a collins glass, with just a splash of coke.
"Moby D***s: A Whale of a Drink". Sold! But only if there's a wicked sea shanty every hour.
It's a painting and I'm guessing it's an area of N. 6th st. in New York City. If you did a search of one of the business' you'd probably get an address.
Load More Replies...Since humor is the main topic here, we have to accept that some of these posts are going to be subjectively (un)funny to some people. Simply put, we tend to like different jokes. Also, you can’t expect all of these cultural comparisons to make sense—many of these differences are hyperbolized to a massive extent, all for the sake of comedy. Some people love it. Others don’t.
The point is not to take the memes (or oneself) too seriously: these images are not objective insights or in-depth analyses of culture. There might be a kernel of truth in them, but the focus is on the comedy!
Cheers Doodles, or that there are different brands in different countries..? 208231011_...716858.jpg
It's the Old Bay seasoning. I can't fathom it either. Basically, they scoop up the road salt after a good blizzard and save it for putting on crabs. Nothing ruins the delicate flavor of crab better than road salt. But now Maryland has a crazy level of regional pride in their unique seasoning.... TBH, probably works on fries much better than on crab.
Load More Replies...Old bay and Taylor ham, biggest losses in moving to Europe. A couple months ago, i found that iherb, which ships to europe had Old Bay in stock....and i was forced to buy 5 pounds of it at a greatly inflated cost. Absolutely no regrets.
Load More Replies...In fairness, the US doesn't have the weirdest chip flavors. Bays is a common fish seasoning, but other countries have truly weird flavors, many of which are inexplicably fish flavored (not what comes to mind with potato chips, not for me anyway). Canada: Covered Bridge Atlantic Lobster Chips; Thailand: Lays Baked Scallop with Butter and Garlic Chips; South Korea, Nongshim Seafood & Octopus Chips; Russia: Lays Red Caviar; Scotland: Mackie's Whisky & Haggis (ok, that one's just racist - or ethnicist or whatever - and not fish themed at all, but I liked how weird it was).
Whoa I bet that's delicious. Most of this list is gross and unnecessary, but THIS I can get behind.
People who eat shrimp flavored potato chips really aren’t in a position to judge
It is a seasoning made from salt, paprika, red pepper, celery seed, etc. Slightly spicy but not really hot, similar to a Cajun seasoning. Used alot on things like steamed crab and shrimp.
Load More Replies...Again, nobody wants this. It might be made for Americans, but nobody I know would drink that.
Pretty sure this line has failed. Several Eggo flavored things found recently in outlet store. No one wants waffle flavored anything... Other then waffles!
I mean, you add some veggies and swap out a meat or two and you've got a Full English. Which leads me to the idea that this should be called a Full Kansas City (or a Full Research Triangle depending on your sauce).
The key ingredient here is not in a Full English, AFAIK: Brisket. This doesn't look like great brisket (too dry and lean), but a slow-smoked brisket is a wondrous delight.
Load More Replies...Well Americans can't comprehend 'beans on toast' for breakfast, or blood sausage, so......
Full english breakfast with a few items substituted???? Why would we not get this?
Add a big side of saurkraut and some will comprehend, especially with the right lager.
This is absolutely for one person. I could down this in like 5 minutes. not overweight btw. I am 6' and weigh 180lbs
Load More Replies...What are your thoughts about these silly memes, dear Pandas? What do you personally enjoy the most about American and European culture? Did you experience any serious culture shocks when you traveled to the US or Europe for the very first time? We always enjoy hearing your opinions, so feel free to share yours in the comment section.
After all these posts plus the current political c**p going on in America i'm sure Europeans can't comprehend why we even live here anymore.
No, we’re just hoping you find reasons to stay. Sheer inertia will save us I guess.
Load More Replies...Or is it the butyric acid in the Hershey's we are talking about.. 🤯 I like chocolate taste.. will not try that though..
Load More Replies...I am known for having a sweet tooth and will raid the baking cupboard for sprinkles and all sorts to get my fix if we don't have anything that will hit the spot, but the first time I tried Hershey's I spat it right back out again. It tastes absolutely rank. Oily, sweet bitter sick-tasting (because of the butyric acid, which is found in vomit).
Again in the UK we also have different flavours of chocolate. Just actual proper chocolate
I am going to recieve backlash, but the cookies and cream hershy's bar is the worst candy product currently in existence
I am from the UK. I once tried a hershey bar that my brother brought back from the US. The first bite I tasted vomit and had to spit it out there and then. I cannot understand how anybody liked them. But they keep selling them so people out there must like them?
My kids like to try foreign candy, thus we had Hersheys kisses once. It's like eating hard butter with chemical sprinkles.. even the sweet tooth in the house didn't like it. Churro KitKat sounds very interesting.. might have to do a trip to Amsterdam to raid the (international) candy stores there!
Can't comprehend why anyone eats Hershey's...it's disgusting. Belgian or Swiss, then British, only.
Because we deal with heat differently and the houses are built according to climate. An Italian house is constructed differently than a Norwegian house. Both can cope with the temperatures easily, due to material used and type of insulation
An Alaskan house is built differently than an Arizona house due to materials used and types of insulation.
Load More Replies...We also have this for our single family home. One unit covers the living areas and the other covers the bedrooms. Less wasted energy because you can turn it off in areas you're not using.
Load More Replies...It doesn't get as hot across the pond as it does in many American cities.
Houses in the South have a lower R factor, less insulation and the 100 F degree heat seeps into the house pretty quickly.
That is why insulation is good to keep the heat out. Not just heat in. 👍
Load More Replies...Only rich people comprehend that. Or renters, I guess. Our neighborhood certainly doesn't have houses with central air
So you can cut and decorate individual pieces? I've never seen one but it's no different than a store bought cake, cookie dough, etc?
Yeah, the main reason this is weird is that Rice Krispy Treats are ridiculously easy to make--I think I first made them when I was about six. The premade individually packaged bars *kind of* make sense as a convenience item, or if you just want to eat one and not have to buy a whole box of cereal & bag of marshmallows, but if you want a big sheet of it to decorate, it makes more sense to just make them. You just melt butter and marshmallows, stir in the cereal, and spread it in a cake pan.
Load More Replies...I really like home made rice crispy treats made with butter. The store bought ones taste like margarine and chemicals
I can't imagne spending so much money on having someone ELSE make them for you, but these are goooood.
This was started by German immigrants. While I'm not a beer person, I love what all the other cultures have contributed to the US.
You mean beer, like what was invented in Germany and is the national drink of the UK?
They can't comprehend fun roadside attractions? I feel sorry for those who don't now the joys of a good road trip.
I had my first “Old Style” while in Chicago in December. I’d never even heard of it before then; I guess it hasn’t made it to the southwest US. It was fine, on par with other American style lagers of that area like PBR and Hamm’s.
Wait? America has water, frozen into blocks to keep drinks cold? I’m learning so much
I think that Benjamin Franklin invented it aboard the 'Mayflower' on the way to Gettysburg.
Load More Replies...My hubby grew up in Germany into his early teens and still hates ice in his drinks. I love ice in my beverages!
After all the posts I've seen here about moldy ice-machines, I think I'll pass.
If you are drinking milk, more likely you are in your own home with your own ice cubes.
Load More Replies...We have ice in Europe too, obviously. We just don't view it as an essential.
A way for you to dump food on your face while drinking from a "gotta have it" mug.
Load More Replies...I'm American and I can't comprehend this. I don't even know what I'm looking at.
I think it's pretty silly myself (and I do have one of those cup monstrosities, it's my work water cup)
They absolutely have stores like this in the EU....even here in Romania. Auchan and Carrefour are akin to walmart, Metro, and selgros are wholesale stores much like costco...though admittedly they do not sell guns, caskets and engagement rings
Costco doesn’t sell guns and I’ve never seen a casket in store.
Load More Replies...Funny how the average American thinks that Europe is only made of small mediaeval villages with tiny shops scattered through steep cobblestone alleys. I mean...we have many of those. But most people live in modern places and at least at a 5km radius from a superstore.
I know I love to travel the world via Google maps & see all the smaller towns & cities all over the world to see what they're like.
Load More Replies...Their quality is excellent. The company tests all products before they allow them to be sold there. I've been told the workers are treated well and paid well for this type of job. It's a pleasant shopping experience, aside from the crowds. Remember, much of the US housing is spread out, so outside our largest cities, we don't shop every day for food, and we must drive most places. It's just a different culture and a different way of life.
Costco? It's easy to talk c*ap if you've never had their bakery goods.
So you suggest to start a fight between costco and Europe on... bakery!?
Load More Replies...How are they all stacked and folded so neatly. If you go to any clothes shop where they are stacked like that in the UK everything's on the floor and absolutely nothing is folded. I guess that depends on how posh your area is tho
As an American, I can say that I cannot comprehend most of the things on the list... because many/most of them are not common, albeit a few are. Short version- every country has its bizarre things.
