There we were, just randomly internet window shopping when we came across some truly outrageous reviews. They were dripping with dissatisfaction and such a warped perspective about what the world and companies ‘owe’ them that we couldn’t help but share them with you. Now that’s not to say that it’s the customers who are always wrong or anything like that. Businesses make errors as well and it’s important to call them out for it.
Everyone ends up winning if companies react adequately to constructive criticism and genuine suggestions for improvement.
On the flip side, if businesses are unwilling to take into account their customers’ needs and wants, they won’t hang on to them for long.

I am agnostic. That said, my Wiccan friend rented an apartment that did have a weird feel to it. She was very upset as she had already signed the lease and a decent place to rent was hard to come by. I proposed an alternate solution to breaking her lease and kicking herself out on the street. We got half a dozen flavors of priests/priestesses/shaman from among our friends and aquaintance to come cleanse and/or bless the place as a housewarming gift. Some prayers and rituals, music, wine, friends, food and a fun evening, and the place felt much better. So, if the bakery inspires creepies generally I'd say the baker might get consider getting the spiritual practitioner of their choice to pass a blessing over it. On the other hand, if it's just Christian Lady with the demonic attacks, it ain't the peanut butter -coconut-chocolate tray bake, Lady. Maybe YOU should see your priest!

I had just posted something about people using the Holy name in vain elsewhere so... Here we go again... *Groan* Edit: Before people get their panties in a bunch, I was referring to people using God's name to justify why they felt a place was bad. Some places, yes, there are bad auras here and there but a bakery???!!!
Meanwhile, it’s also important for customers to go into detail about their problems and dissatisfaction in a diplomatic way.
Usually, it’s a live person on the other end of the line, handling all of these help requests and responding to reviews. The last thing they need is to face verbal abuse or to be blamed for [cough] ‘refusing’ to help someone move their bed two years after selling them one.

As a Scottish person I'd have yeeted their asses out pronto - it's one thing going into a big chain pub or restaurant to use facilities, although still somewhat frowned upon, but to take up a third of a restaurant while buying one drink? No, nope, not happening. We're a welcoming and friendly bunch of people (mostly) but we have a limited tolerance for arsehole behaviour, which this group most certainly are guilty of. It astounds me that these people didn't come to their senses and realise they were being unreasonable

I worked at a bakery/cafe and a woman left a 1-star review because she tried use the drive-thru to pick up her the custom cake that she ordered. What she failed to SAY in the review was that we had her pull forward 20 feet and BROUGHT THE CAKE OUT TO HER CAR so she wouldn't have to wake up her kid! The thing that really pissed me off about it was that the owner of the place didn't say anything about THAT in her response to the review, just kissed the woman's butt in order to make sure that we "didn't lose a customer". She wouldn't have needed to be rude to the lady! Just let the readers know the other half of the story!!

Although it's a stupid thing to do I can *almost* see the logic behind it. It's not SOUND logic, but it is a weird kind of logic. If you allow Google to see your location and allow the option for it then it will send you notifications asking you to review X location that it thinks you've been to. Some people think they HAVE to do it. I don't know why. Some people also think they HAVE to respond to every piece of mail or email they receive. I used to send out mass mailings to my customers for work. We're a small business, but if we were having a special for some specific dates then I'd send out a mailing to maybe 200-300 of them. Every time I did one woman would feel it necessary to call me and thank me for sending her the "invitation" but regrettably she wouldn't be able to take advantage of it because..... (her sister was in town, she wasn't feeling well, she was going out of town, there was always some reason). She never understood that it wasn't a personal request.

If it doesn't mention the opening hours online, and they have closing times people wouldn't expect, then it is useful to say that in a review, so other people don't assume it will be open and travel there only to be disappointed. But DON'T give a one star review for that! I think review websites should give the option of writing a review without choosing stars, so you can mention stuff like this without affecting their score. But if a review website doesn't have that option, give them 3 or 4 stars if you want to write something but haven't actually eaten there yet, don't give them a negative score.
