This poor man. As a mum of an autistic adult son with severe learning disabilities who is friendly, trusting and socially awkward this is my worse nightmare. It makes me want to shield him from the world but I have to let him live and be happy. I’m grateful he has 1:1 professional support but still worry at times for him. Gavin you are a far better man than those you’ve given a second chance to.

This kind of thing happens a lot to people. Happened to my brother when he was young who has Asperger's. A gang of kids went after him and he had to run. It traumatised him for a very long time.

This kind of behavior comes from parents not doing their job. Either they teach their kids that crappy behavior or they don't stop it! This Gavin Joseph is such a good guy and I wish more people would teach their kids to have patience and understanding for those that are different from the "norm" of society!

There is a guy with autism in my mum's town who was bashed for the same reason. He did nothing except talk to people he didn't know, and they decided he was being creepy or something. His mum put a message on the community facebook, about the fact that he had only just gotten confident enough to go into the community on his own and now he would be unlikely to do so again in the near future. Thankfully that post did get some positive reactions from people who hoped they wouldn't let this incident keep him house bound and that they would greet him kindly if he did venture out.

Hello everyone! Diagnosed autistic person here, just letting everyone know Aspergers is an extremely offensive term for autism as Hans Aspergers was an awful man who chose which autistics should live and which should die. High and low functioning are also extremely offensive, and there should be no terms for "functioning" needs. Everyone experiences neurodivergence differently. :)

He may be innocent of that since it was some odd thing in the trial, as one of the main whitnesses having a major financial interest in having the cause being vandalism and not natural. However, as he has commited several arsons and burglaries he does belong in jail.

This happened in April last year. A crocodile photographer & conservationist, Tom Chalmers Hayes, who went to the scene suggested it was a trophy hunter's killing. He posted a message on social media stating that there were "...very clear machete marks...on the body and around the neck area where the head has been removed."

This happened in Florida and was the fifth documented incident involving the dogs in the months leading to Pamela's death. The owner was found completely innocent because he'd realized he couldn't handle the dogs and tried to surrender them, but the local offices didn't get in touch with him. (The dogs were euthanized, but their owner didn't get so much as a slap on the wrist: even OSHA didn't find violations because the man had "made efforts" to fortify the fence all five dogs still managed to escape from and brutally kill her). So apparently, people can create untenable situations by collecting untrained dogs like baseball cards, then try to dump the problem on overworked authorities, and walk away blameless because others didn't clean up his mess before his actions had consequences.
