Seeing this in the morning news had me shivering in tears 😭

This happened in April last year. A crocodile photographer & conservationist, Tom Chalmers Hayes, who went to the scene suggested it was a trophy hunter's killing. He posted a message on social media stating that there were "...very clear machete marks...on the body and around the neck area where the head has been removed."

I recall reading something about the photographer having mental health issues after taking this photo. I can't recall the precise context though.

*THESE* are the kinds of things that should be shown to younger children to discourage them from ever even trying a drug. Traumatic, sure, but probably a whole lot more effective than the "just say no" campaign ever was.

This was me yesterday seeing an untamed mean dog taking out the trash. Thank God the owner had ahold of the dog. That was the first time a dog ever put that much fear into me.

This happened in Florida and was the fifth documented incident involving the dogs in the months leading to Pamela's death. The owner was found completely innocent because he'd realized he couldn't handle the dogs and tried to surrender them, but the local offices didn't get in touch with him. (The dogs were euthanized, but their owner didn't get so much as a slap on the wrist: even OSHA didn't find violations because the man had "made efforts" to fortify the fence all five dogs still managed to escape from and brutally kill her). So apparently, people can create untenable situations by collecting untrained dogs like baseball cards, then try to dump the problem on overworked authorities, and walk away blameless because others didn't clean up his mess before his actions had consequences.

If you want to die, can you do it in a way that doesn't harm anyone else?
