Design is meant to eliminate problems. To make our lives easier. However, that's not always the case. Even though safety should be a key component when making any type of product, sometimes it falls out of the manufacturing equation and the consumer gets a hazard instead. And something to submit to the subreddit r/DangerousDesigns.
Created in 2014, this online community now has over 140K members, constantly sharing pics of exactly what its name suggests. Whether it's a questionable architectural solution or misleading packaging, over the years they've amassed quite the collection! 1. Shouldn't have used fiberglass filler, and 2. State on the label WHY you shouldn't remove the cover.
One of the subreddit's moderators told Bored Panda they would describe it as "light-hearted."
"Dangerous staircase designs are by far our biggest collection of content, so much so that I've had to make a rule so they can only be posted once per week," the person who chose to remain anonymous said.
"Being a non-specific image subreddit, I wouldn't say there's much of a 'community' in the traditional sense," they explained. "However, there are plenty of users who are dedicated to helping me and the other mods manage this subreddit and keep it of a higher quality than most subreddits with over 100K subscribers."

According to the law firm Carr & Carr, many products can be dangerous if the consumers dismiss their warnings and use the items incorrectly. Just consider the cleaning products available at your grocery store or the power tools you use for lawn maintenance.
"[But] when it comes to product liability lawsuits in which consumers seek compensation for harm caused by a particular product, one of the key factors is proving whether the product in question is unreasonably dangerous," Carr & Carr write on their website.
"Since there's no way to anticipate every way in which a consumer might interact with a product, it’s impossible to design and manufacture a product that is entirely free from risk. However, consumers have a right to expect that a given product is safe when used as directed for its intended purpose," Carr & Carr explain.
May Have Been Posted Before But This Is Pure Insanity
An unreasonably dangerous product is one that poses greater risks than an ordinary user might reasonably expect when using the product as intended. "This definition makes a distinction between products that are dangerous—such as drain cleaners or chainsaws—and those that pose threats beyond their intended purpose."
"In general, drain cleaners and chainsaws are not unreasonably dangerous because most come with detailed instructions for the proper use and warnings about their risks. The unreasonable danger in product liability cases is characterized by a flaw in the product's design, manufacture or marketing," Carr & Carr note.
So which of these pictures do you think feature unreasonably dangerous designs? Upvote them and let's see!

Time For A Nice Refreshing Drink Of... Oh
Dear God...
First time flying in there, I thought my life was over.
Load More Replies...What was even worse is that the pilots couldn’t see the runway until the last minute. They flew towards a huge billboard mounted on the side of a mountain & at a certain point had to make a hard 90 degree turn to line up to the runway. I’m sure nobody misses it.
Like St-martin. Freaking cool but the noise must be deafening.
I've actually been in St. Martin in 2019 and experienced that famous Maho Beach with landing & departing planes, you'd think that it's very loud, but it actually wasn't that bad. Most dangerous thing is departing planes, you need to check where you stand, coz they have a problem with people who don't take warnings seriously and if you stand on a wrong path, you could hurt yourself when planes are departing and they roll to runway and when it's their take off, that plane really blows some kerosene and you can fly couple of meters. We saw many hats got blown to the sea :D
Load More Replies...My Dad used to have to fly into Hong Kong on business, he said you could see people hanging out their washing in the apartments as you were landing. Hong Kong built an artificial Island a while back just so they could relocate the airport.
I loved Kai Tak... fly toward the target on the mountain then hard right and down fast. I used to travel to HK regularly in the 90's. Great landing (after 12 hours from LHR).
Except your parachute wouldn't have time to open so you may want to rethink that one. Haha.
Load More Replies...On southbound I95 between baltimore and DC there's a sign along the highway: "Watch out for low flying aircraft" (it's right near BWI). Every time I read that sign I asked myself "Do I really need to be worried? How low are we talking?"
As Michael Flanders observed, "There's not a lot you can do about that."
Load More Replies...i lived near an airport once (like 15 minutes away) and there was a freeway right by thee airport that was used often. occasionally a plane would go REALLY LOW right over a car. absoluetely terrifying.
Nothing scarier than turbulance when you're at building height--it happened to me at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Could see tv screens into apt. bldgs as you landed. Only the best pilots could land in Kai Tak in HK.
San Diego is the same. You can see the people looking out their windows at you as you land!
There are several approaches like this to airports around the world.
I went in and out of Hong Kong from Kai Tak. This was quite a stupendous ride!
I used to live Kowloon Tong and felt every plane pass over. You could see the passengers at the windows
You turn onto final approach just over the hilltop, then follow the rooftops to the runway - exciting, and a great view, especially at night.
Came into this airport once, ruined my holiday knowing I'd have to repeat it to leave! Thank goodness they built a new one.
I had a friend that lived in one of the buildings under that flight path. He would talk so loudly even in quiet surroundings. So used to having to shout at home.
That's when we had real pilots. there was a 90-degree turn in the middle of the approach through the apartments.
The folks who lived underneath the flight path hated it, but planegeeks couldn't have been happier!

Lactose Intolerance
FFS, this one AGAIN? "Non-dairy" is NOT a regulated term and can be slapped on anything. This stuff is made for people with lactose intolerance, and there is no lactose in it. It does however contain caesin, clearly stated, which comes from milk. Caesin is a milk protein - it will not make lactose intolerant people sick but it will make milk protein allergy sufferers sick. Because "non-dairy" is not regulated, it is advised that people with or who care for someone with a milk allergy to avoid anything labelled "non-dairy". This label is not illegal, and as that is a problem then that needs to be brought up with the guv to regulate the label. This is the creamer version of having "natural" on artificial products - it's not regulated.

Pretty sure some of these are either captioned in a way that doesn’t represent reality (a sea wall is not a handicap ramp) or just photoshopped (major corporations do not fly planes that low). Don’t believe everything you read here.
All I saw were stuff built by peoole are people whi just did not give a damn . I liked the wet bathroom and tent with two trucks though
I have never, never seen so many absolutely idiotic, crazy and dangerous items/situations!!!!
I thought it was a sensible question, not everyone is a railway enthusiast
