Have had multiple cats over the years and have never had a fully black cat. Have had several Tuxedo's though and arm twisted behind my back would have to admit to them being my favourites. (with apologies to my current pair of Ladies Who Must Be Obeyed)

Reminds me of my Jack. He was the runt of his litter, but grew into a tall and hulking 15 lb void, and the sweetest, cuddliest, funniest, and most laid back cat in the world. No, there are no large cat breeds in his DNA, he just eats all the time. But he’s not a chonk, he’s just big. He’s turning 10 this summer.

In 2009 I adopted a cat from a shelter. One of the other cats there at the same time was named "Dolly" who was a rather small mother cat, who had nursed several orphaned litters of kittens one right after the other. She had very little fur left on her belly, but apparently was super-mom and any kittens presented to her immediately became hers. I hope she's still around and living the good life somewhere.
