Women Are Saving Time On Dating Apps By Asking For Controversial Opinions As The First Thing And These Are 30 Answers They Got
The internet can be a wonderful tool to use to connect with people that are like-minded, that can help you with your problems or that can become your romantic partners in the future. There are numerous apps which can assist you with the latter. But if you have any experience with those apps, you realize that there are so many people who don’t share the same values as you and it turns out that you just wasted your time getting to know a person with whom you can’t see yourself.
But after some time, you find some tricks and control questions that immediately reveal if the conversation is worth continuing. TikToker Amanda N went viral with 9 million views for sharing her method of asking the other person to tell their most controversial opinion and showing their answers. Other TikTokers joined the trend too and we found out that this simple question actually reveals a lot about a person.

Never trust a person that doesn't like animals. (Unless they have a verifiable bad experience with one, like being bitten. I guess they get a pass)
Or even better...Never trust a person, your animal doesn't like. Because I can think of a bunch of 'not-so-nice' people that like animals or claim they do. But beware of a pet that usually has no trouble socializing with other people coming round. If your dog or cat tense up when someone wants to pet them...you should never ignore that.
Load More Replies...To me that seems extremely narrow-minded that it must be cats specifically. If it was just animals in general, I'd get it. But like some people just don't like cats, for reasons that have nothing to do with their capability of "earning love and respect"
Because a cat doesn’t beg for love or listen to commands like a dog. It is more standoffish and requires a deeper bond.
Load More Replies...I maintain that there's nothing wrong with not liking a certain animal. I don't like cats and there's nothing wrong with that. The only time it makes you a shitty person is if you treat that animal badly.
Hmmm... I like cats as creatures, but where I live we have way too many strays and they are not good for wildlife.
Eh, I've been bitten and scratched by cats, bitten by dogs, scratched by turtles, and pinched mercilessly by my hermit crabs (only one or two were problematic at any time though). And I still freaking LOVE animals! I know that so much of what they do is based on instinct and/or fear. Also, one of my cats can say "hello"... he learned by mimicking me.
You work with or live around animals, you will inevitably be scratched, bitten, peed on ,pooped on, bitten by fleas, stepped on,etc.....but usually not all on the same day. And it does not mean the animals don't love you. Accidents happen. But it also doesn't happen very frequently.
Load More Replies...While people who like dogs are awesome...people who like cats, in my humble opinion, are slightly more trusted for me...like...do you know what it takes to love a cat and have a cat love you back? Like....wow. Lol
What are you talking about? Cats are very friendly animals, only some are shy.
Load More Replies...People ( especially men ) who hate cats, like actively hate and wouldn't mind harming one, often also have problems with women, ebcause cats do as they please, and they fight back. These people can't handle that, they like dogs for being obedient, and want their humans to be like that.
If you read their signs and respect their boundaries, they never scratch or bite you.
That isn't quite true for all cats. I have a cat that was abused as a young cat. She'll be fine one moment and then something will suddenly trigger her. She'll lash out at whatever is closest, which is sometimes me. I understand though. It wasn't her fault she was abused as a young cat.
Load More Replies...Cats are a great barometer to a persons personality. I agree with you completely.
Load More Replies...Amanda N posted her video earlier this month and 9.4 million people were interested to hear what she said. And apparently people thought that her advice is really useful and is a time-saver when it comes to finding out if the conversation is worth continuing and if the person is worth their time because the video also has 1.4 million likes and has started a bit of a trend.
Other people on TikTok started creating videos similar to Amanda’s using the same song in the background and showing what their matches on dating apps were saying were their most controversial opinions.
The "Unwind" Series is based kinda like a what if around this opinion. Very good and thought inducing
but the part where they can ditch babies at people's houses tho 😶
Load More Replies...Ah, the "I brought them into this world, I get to take them out" Clause. Interesting.
I will probably get downvoted, and I’m sorry if I am misinterpreting this, but I kind of agree! (I swear that I don’t mean to say anything rude, ever!)
I don't think it's supposed to be alarming. It's supposed to be an answer to the question.
Load More Replies...May I add...if you're a man, you're a mister all your life. If you're a woman, you start out as a Miss, move on to a Miz, and might become a Missus. There's no valid 21st century reason for this...except for a man to identify whether a woman is single or married.
Yes - we women have always been labelled as our status *relative to men.* That is bu11s**t.
Load More Replies...Personally I think we should just get rid of them both and NOT replace them with anything. For one even a new gender-neutral word can have its meaning twisted and userped by people with an agenda, just like ANY word technically can - just have to look at how the words "queer" and "gay" have had their meanings changed over the years to see an example of this. Queer used to mean 'out of the ordinary, unusual, strange, odd, different' (but not necessarily just in a negative way, it was used positively too as more of a statement of observation) and then it became a slur against non-straight/non-cis people and now it's being taken by non-straight/non-cis people and turned into something far more positive. Almost the exact same thing happened with "gay" - used to mean 'happy, joyous, full of spirit, energetic', then became a slur against non-straight/non-cis people, now has been taken by non-straight/non-cis people and turned into something more positive.
Secondly, the whole reason these honorifics exist in the first place don't come from a positive place that we, in the 21st Century, should be continuing or trying to fill. The male version "Sir" was designed to make you feel automatically respectful and subservient to a "better man" than yourself and basically put you in your place - we don't want that sort of thing now so that needs to go and NOT be replaced. And the female versions "Miss, Mrs and Ms." were solely designed to publicly denote the marital status of a woman - well that's nobody's business but your own. There's no reason for them to exist any more so THOSE can also go and NOT be replaced. And as for it being "just" a "fancy greeting"? In a world trying to be MORE inclusive the very existence of such a thing would still cause exclusions because then it would be about who it's used on and who it isn't and when its used, unless it's used all the time which makes it no longer fancy and needing to exist.
Load More Replies...This is actually very thoughtful and inclusive, very nice! I feel very uncomfortable when people call me "madam" or something.
I think there really needs to be a gender neutral title though, im non binary and people cant tell whether im a boy or a girl so don’t know what to adress me as
We can’t know if those people who were sharing the answers showed everything they received or just the ones that were actually controversial and borderline concerning, but even if they showed the worst messages they got, there were too many of them.
Some of the answers were more lighthearted, like liking a specific movie or having an opinion about food. But others were highly political, racist or sexist, immediately indicating that person's core values.
Well that's just science. Is it controversial to say that there are physical differences between men and women? I teach anatomy - am I about to get cancelled?
I feel like the bad thing would be if someone said one gender is better than the other. Its 100% true there are differences, but using those differences to discriminate is not good. But I agree with you btw :)
Load More Replies...Be nice if people could learn the difference between EQUAL and IDENTICAL.
We can have social and legal and financial equity without being biologically identical.
Because when we talk about equality, what we mean is similar physical strength?
Yeah there are quite a lot of people out there that seem to think that when people advocate for gender equality what they mean is that they think men and women are physically the same. I don't know where they get that idea from though. It's pretty obvious that advocates of gender equality are talking about social and legal equality, not physical.
Load More Replies...There are all kinds of physical differences between all humans. We are also all burdened with weaknesses and gifted with strengths. These things change as we live our lives. Why should this play any role in basic rights? Why should this matter to the idea of equality for all humans?
The word "equal" here is unnecessary. There are physical and biological differences between male, female, intersex and numerous other sexes, but not one single individual fits in the same physical definition box neatly. There are female individuals who are larger and stronger than common males (I fit in that category) due to more natural testosterone. There are some males who are more "traditionally feminine" as well. And then there are more differences between gender expression, but the word "equality" is about offering proper opportunities, treatment and rights. There is literally no need for the word "equality" here unless this person really means that there are inferior and superior sexes which is questionable.
Well duh. That’s not even what equality means. It doesn’t mean “same.”
Women grow life inside of their bodies and then birth a 7 pound human - don't tell me we aren't physically strong! Don't even get me started on what many women endure physically every 28 days or so.
Different kind of strength. In general men can lift and carry heavier loads than women and that is due to their testosterone effecting their muscle mass. Strength comes in many ways.
Load More Replies...Too bad that wouldn't work for many jobs like construction, transit, people on call etc.
Not to mention areas where public transportation is almost non-existent and walking is nuts unless you live super close to your work and/or things to live
Load More Replies...I like this, except those of us living in rural areas, but good public transport from metro area edges, and free parking lots in those edges.
I live in a city and we don’t even have good public transit here.
Load More Replies...Not economically feasible for the US. Even in areas with high population density, like New England, there are still quite large local areas where residents are few and far between, and it's a 45 minute drive to the market. No one is going to pay for miles and miles of railway to reach a community of 100 people, who live too far to walk anywhere.
Maybe drastically reducing our reliance on cars in lieu of public transport and bicycles, etc. But logistically, we still need to move stuff around. Food needs to be distributed, materials need to be moved, etc. Remember that in winter we rely heavily on food from warmer climates.
I agree to a point. There will always be very remote areas that need to be traveled to, or large things that need to be transported but I am 35 and dont have a drivers license. I live in a country where it just isnt nessesary. I can literally get anywhere on my bike or public transit and on the rare occasions I need a car( eg. moving or traveling to a remote location), I can rent a car for a day and have one of my friends do me a favour and drive and I'll pay for gas. Would it be faster sometimes to have a car? Sure. I travel about 35minutes to get to work and that would be 15minutes by car. But I dont work from the office every day and the say, 2-3hours I save every week just isnt worth the cost of upkeep, buying a car and a parking space monthly fee( very expensive). My mindset is one that many people in my country share and we have many cities built around bikes and public transport.
Personal vehicles used for commuting (work, shopping, etc.) should be replaced with public transit. Not just cities, but all municipalities.
Yeah, I'm a woman and I don't get the almost comically long nails some women have. The ones about as long as half their finger again. They're not practical for anything; you could literally have someone's eye out and fingernails on a keyboard is way more annoying than fingernails on a chalkboard - the latter is limited by the size of the board, you'd have a brief pause while they reposition their fingers. But on a keyboard they could theoretically be at it for 8 WHOLE HOURS (theoretically, because I'd have thrown their damn computer out the window before the first hour is up)
I find those nails disgusting. They literally make me want to puke.
Load More Replies...I am a man and I know men are insecure too, it's not a 'woman thing' it's a human trait.
But the difference is that when women are insecure, they get sympathy, but when men are insecure, they get mocked.
Load More Replies...I like the look of slightly long fake nails (not stupidly long). I've had them done a few times. Honestly they are a pain in the f*****g a**e. They get in your way and make some of the simplest tasks, more difficult. Plus you need to get them refilled every few weeks which ends up costing you a s**t load over time. Will never get them done again.
I have naturally strong nails but I don't let them get too long. About 4mm length? If they are too long I can't do a bloody thing.
Load More Replies...Insecurity isn't gender-based. We *learn* to be insecure or confident. Yes, we are all born different, but being female doesn't inherently make someone insecure. That's bull$hit.
Of course women are not inherently insecure. But insecurity in women is a HUGE problem at least in the US. Unfortunately, with the "girl power" junk of my son's youth and the unrealistic body images that men see, I think men have probably caught up. A country full of very self-conscious and insecure people (not all of them, of course, but far too many). So much bad sex or no sex going on nowadays due to this compared to in the past.
Load More Replies...I think the question and the answer are slightly at odds with each other. The question was trying to goad him into making a negative general statement about women, and what he has done is named two qualities that he doesn't like in a woman. So he's not saying that all women are insecure and have long fake nails, he's just saying that he doesn't like it when they do, which is a fair opinion.
Personally I have kid hands, really small, and short nails. I never had my nails long because for me are uncomfortable and not my cup of tea so I always wondered how they manage to wipe after... well... you know... Totally honest question, not to be disrespectful. Just curious.
whats wrong with fake long nails? i love them my hands are really small compared to some people and it makes me feel a lot less insecure about my hands because it makes my hands appear skinner and longer instead of short and fat.
Some of us don't care what our hands look like. I inherited thick knuckles, not much I can do to improve that look.
Load More Replies...Not really controversial. We all land on a spectrum in oh-so-many areas. :-)
I'm not gay but some woman I find very attractive so I'm a bit gay. Hooray !
Load More Replies...Disagree! Some people are just straight up homo or heterosexual with no in between.
Not one of them, but I agree they exist. Just probably fewer than would claim it.
Load More Replies...Finding the same sex attractive doesn't mean you're a bit gay. Same way finding a Bentley beautiful doesn't mean you'd buy it for yourself if you had the money.
Ya…. Its a spectrum and heterosexual is a parameter…. BirdGirl s2 e1, they had 20 flags. Couldnt admit hetero is one. Also thats an insanely dirty and obscure humor fictional show but mirrors some real things 😂
Why didn't this person post the controversial opinion they responded to this one with?
Agreed. You can be attracted to a person without excluding them on the basis of gender. It's almost like being attracted to a PERSON instead of their plumbing is somehow wrong...
People are often skeptical towards the odds of finding a long-term relationship through dating apps. But both in real life and online, there are different people who you just wouldn’t get along with and people who you really click with.
According to Imperial College Business School’s data, in the UK, 32 percent of relationships started between 2015 and 2019 originated online. This is quite a significant increase from 19 percent during the period recorded earlier between 2005 and 2014.
I had the same thought ----- and now I'll have to find it.
Load More Replies...I've often wondered what point is the latest technology when there's not even going to be a livable planet earth
technology will fix the planet. Carbon capture tech etc.
Load More Replies...Technology isn't the problem. The ways that sociopathic people use it is the problem.
Absolutely love technology (60s Star Trek fan), but I'm thoroughly disgusted that humans are unable/incapable of evolving along with it. Every passing year of tech advancement sees humans regressing.
“Eco-anxiety (short for ecological anxiety and also known as eco-distress or climate-anxiety) has been defined as "a chronic fear of environmental doom".
i think it wont save us because climate change is a chain. Once it starts-which it has-it can't be stopped, maybe slowed down
One of the only bad things about Ohio is that when you get out in the country all it is is corn(but the corn is great)
Load More Replies...As someone who lives in Indiana, this person is absolutely right. I hate it here.
I dunno. I moved to Ohio from Colorado and I will never go back. Ohio is awesome.
Load More Replies...As someone from Ohio i can agree adn disagree with this at the same time :)
Nah, Ohio-ian here, we deserve it. DeWine sucks any hope for the future.
Aww, I love my state of Indiana!! Ohio has horrible drivers and nothing worth visiting. ;)
I was born in Indiana but my family moved away when I was about 1 or 2. But from stories I’ve heard, it f*****g sucks there.
People from Provence say pain au chocolat btw... While in the south west we say chocolatine indeed. So what? Honestly, who cares, language is so diversified in France that one word isn't enough for this delicious viennoiserie :p
Load More Replies...Not really original controversies, but the most egregious is the misspelling of lettuce.
Also, the egregious offenses to capitalization and punctuation.
Load More Replies...What's wrong with pronouns? I'm assuming you use pronouns.
I tend to agree with all of them (except for not wanting to be called he/she, if someone tells me they want to be called different thats totally fine. But that everyone seems to be expected to generelly change their way to speak for a rather small group is to much)
Load More Replies...I think marriage licenses should have to be renewed every year. Meaning every anniversary you have to decide to stay together rather than just staying together out of habit. If a couple falls out of love they just let it expire.
The US propaganda machine has been gaslighting its citizenry and the world for far too long. Truth is, the US is on their last go around due to their lack of transparency.
The Imperial Business School predicts that by 2035, more people will be in relationships that started online rather than meeting through friends, family or at other social gatherings. Online dating definitely has its pros and cons and to make the experience smoother, tips like Amanda’s will surely come in handy.

probably not as evil and bad as "the purge" style of no government, though
to be fair he said nothing about having no government, just government is inherently evil.
Load More Replies...Coming from a guy who had a free education, drives on safe roads, drinks clean water, and can call the cops/fire dept in an emergency. Worse, he fails to realize HE is the government. Sigh
thats not the case of everybody though, especially if you're talking about the US which has a very poor education system, half the infrastructure is falling apart and flint michigan still doesn't have clean water.
Load More Replies...thanks for the correct terminology, most people don't know the difference.
Load More Replies...It depends on whether he's a anarchist who wants to dispense with government, or a more moderate person who believes that government is a necessary evil. I'm the latter.
Actual anarchism, though, is nothing like what you see in the movies. It's a leftist theory of laws without forced hierarchy. Instead, all citizens have the same influence and decisions are made directly in the community, not by any higher group. Community mutualism is a big part of it, as is decommodification and democratic workplaces. Rather than a large homogenized nation, self-governing autonomous communities can connect to share resources and transit through common ownership.
This is something I would have never agreed with but now it's definitely starting to make me wonder... Which is sad
As a cyclist who has been hit by a car, AND lived in the Netherlands, I agree that we can't safely co-exist on small roads - car drivers get impatient when they have to (god forbid) slow down to safely pass a cyclist. But it's not like they are suffering - they're just sitting there in a comfy seat, shaking their fist at someone who ALSO pays taxes for the same road.
Depends on the country, here in the UK cyclists more often than not ignore the rules of the road, and historically they didn't pay any taxes towards the roads because it was all *supposed* to be funded by taxes that they don't pay like fuel tax and road tax.
Load More Replies...Worldwide, we inherited a road system used by carts pulled by animals. Without significant changes, several ton vehicles hurl along soft-skinned humans. A minimum trajectory deviation will result in death or crippling wounds. Statistically, with 1.2 billion vehicles circulating without a physical separation with cyclists and motorcyclists, contact it's going to occur. It's a scientific fact; inertia, mass, force, and kinetic energy do not know or respect human laws. Good intentions or moral restraint can't stop 2 tons of steel.
Cyclists make me nervous. It's ok in town where we're all going slow, but on a winding 50mph road I don't want to turn a bend at the speed limit and find an unprotected human panting up the hill at a fraction of the speed I'm doing. Factoring in a vehicle to your braking distance is one thing
Cyclists where I'm at love to get on these winding back roads that have no shoulder forcing me into oncoming traffic blindly. Seems very dangerous to me. Can't they bike on a road that's safer for everyone?
You do know that you're supposed to stay behind the cyclist until you can see far enough ahead to pass safely, right? I mean I know that cyclists can be a pain, but you sound dangerous!
Load More Replies...Dude honk the s**t out of me because I was riding in the lane on a road that has "BICYCLES MAY USE FULL LANE" signs. Also had someone who was in the left turn lane, suddenly pulled to the right lane in front of the bike lane and the bicyclists when the light turned green. Not all bicyclists are breaking traffic rules, but some drivers are sure as hell ignoring them.
Maybe if the US pulled its head out of its ass and overhauled the infrastructure and putting in bike lanes, it wouldn't be a problem
For me it depends what kind of cyclist they are. If they cycle to work/school etc. they're never a problem. If they cycle purely for sport they're horrible. Here they ride almost as fast as cars, even in blind turns, which causes a lot of accidents and near-misses. They hardly ever watch out for anyone else and pass you super close. It pisses me off to no end that the cyclist in my city insist on using the crowded sidewalks for exercise instead of the countless park/forest trails that have been set up specifically for that purpose.
I have nothing against cyclists in theory. But.. i live in rural virginia.. you gonna die on this road, honey.
Cyclist here agreeing wholeheartedly. Worked in a very progressive town that passed a law where bicyclists could ride abreast even when they blocked traffic flow. Choose one or the other, but both together is infuriating and causes road rage.
Yes omg we were debating this at school last year and it never did get resolved
taco is also sandwich, shawarma is sandwich, burrito is sandwich... anything inside bread is sandwich.
Load More Replies...I think it is their own culinary category. Otherwise anything wrapped in something is a sandwich like tacos, wraps, filled doughnuts, and burritos.
Do corn tacos and doughnuts count as bread?

Load More Replies...I guess you're allowed to feel weird if you get hit on by someone from the same gender? I mean, as long as that doesn't become a reason to treat someone else like crap.
If you get hit on by someone from the same gender and your preferences don't align, of course you're allowed to feel weird. You're allowed to feel flattered too if you want. You're allowed to FEEL anyway you want. How you ACT on the other hand is more telling. I find the response to the opinion a little rude to be honest
Load More Replies...When a gay man hits on me, I'm extremely flattered. I mean, have you seen how high their standards are? I'm not interested, but I'm certainly flattered and thank them.
Same here. It is just flattering. Take the compliment and move on.
Load More Replies...Have I missed something here? This seems reasonable. You are not obliged to respond to everyone who might find you attractive, regardless of orientation. And they said "who you love" which sounds like they don't have a preoccupation so much with other people's sex lives
I personally haven’t been hit on by someone of the same gender, but the other day I bumped into a girl at school and as I was walking away she called me pretty, I felt flattered honestly, but that is just a personal opinion. Perfectly normal to feel ‘weird’ if you don’t swing that way.
But I’d feel weird if *anyone* I wasn’t attracted to hit on me
Load More Replies...I'll take a nice Dijon mustard over ketchup any day, but I like both.
Load More Replies...Ketchup is vile and ruins everything, the smell is overly strong and destroys the food you are eating, rather than improves it.
Ketchup is s**t, and so is catsup. All forms of this sauce are disgusting.
Thankfully it's less popular outside of the US. Condiments are much less used in Italy because the food is actually delicious and doesn't need to be masked or 'helped' with anything.
The same foods are pretty much everywhere, and so are condiments. Condiments add flavor and texture when to foods with lots of flavor and texture.

I'll have to disagree with you. Pineapple on pizza is an abomination. But then again, I am allergic to pineapple...
Load More Replies...And how many people have said it's not good on pizza, w/o even trying it? You gave it a try and didn't like, ok fine. But to not even give it a chance... no trying, no opinion. Yum-o! Lol!
i mean i just don't like pineapple so pretty sure i wouldn't like it on pizza.
Load More Replies...The entire point of toppings is to get what you like, and let other people get what THEY like. "This is not okay and it is not pizza" is a dreadfully legalistic stance to take on a toppings-based food item. Doubly so if you're from the US, and especially if you lived through any of the dessert pizza offerings from the Hut. See the TED talk by Al Vernacchio [suggesting pizza over sports metaphors for adult activities].
I have an Italian friend that looked at me in utter disgust and disbelief as I told him I liked pineapple pizza
Its delicious! I am now declaring war against the people who dislike it 🙃😁
when someone says "free will is a lie", run away! They are just laying the groundwork for not having to take any blame or responsibility for their actions. And don't we all know at least one person who is NEVER to blame?
Not really, it's a western thing from St Augustine and successors. Other cultures don't think this way. Google "compatibilism" and "incompatibilism" in free will, to get more info on why this position is not that obvious.
Load More Replies...I think to an extent we have some free will. But if I wanted to stop paying taxes I couldn't and neither could you. I'm being forced to give against my supposed free will. It's true! There are many things we are forced to do that if we didn't. We would get in trouble or suffer some kind of punishment. There are a lot of things put into place that control us all. So free will is definitely questionable and something we all should discuss more. When you think about it, there are a lot of things going on that can be questioned if we truly do have free will.
I had a debate about this that lasted hours, and in the end, we agreed that in theory, everything is predictable (no free will) but that the system of cause and effect is so complex that it is irrelevant, because we will never be able to fully comprehend it. So it all ends up being philosophical anyway. But saying free will exists is like saying god exists. It is not something there is any evidence for, but it is moot since people choose to believe in it or not.
No, free will definitely exists. It's just that we don't really have it when you think about it. Taxes for example are informed. It should not be forced but it is. I'm sure plenty of people would like the choice to pay them or not. Yet we are all being forced against our will to pay. Even though we do not want to or can't afford it. It's not a question or whether free will exist. But more so if we truly have free will. I'd say no in a lot of cases, and some in others.
Load More Replies...Biologically incorrect, although the definition of "free will" is primarily philosophical rather than biological. Anyway, the ability to choose and perform actions based on your own will and evaluation is a trait that exists in virtually all lifeforms. Deterministic behaviour isn't a thing, animals for example (including humans) all function on the same basis and that's the ability to sense the world with their senses, process the environment with their intelligence and make choices based on their personal evaluation. If someone claims "men can't control their urges" or "(non-human) animals operate on instinct", run RUN RUN as fast as you can.
So, blame everyone and everything else for your problems and mistakes? Does that also apply to your victories?
But could they have chosen not to say that? WE WILL NEVER KNOW.
Individually, free will is still an option. However, I do agree free will under certain governments is a total lie.
Uh, yeah. Time to tell him to seek professional help and then run in the opposite direction.
Load More Replies...Probably not. Why would you assume that from just one post?
Load More Replies...People who do not find joy in anything - there is no rescue for that. It's not the burden of others to make you happy.
The lack of a sense of humor in these replies is astounding---this is not a Doctoral Thesis, it's a simple, casual question on Facebook/twitter.....it DOES, however tell a great deal about those replying.....lots of negativity........
don't worry, I won't get you started because I know all I need to from that one statement.
I'm curious how people would react if a woman had said that about men.
Load More Replies...I'm curious if a woman had said that about men if all the people on here would be bashing her as sexist.
Load More Replies...Every one is attacking toxic masculinity; but no one ever mentions toxic femininity, which is just as bad. The severe paßive-agreßive behaviors, the manipulation games they play, the "it's ok for me to that, but if my man does that, there will be hell to pay", and the "I deserve to be treated equal" but when they are treated equal, they cry "how could you, I'm a woman", to name a few. For those that will bring up that women make leß than a man, stop talking about it and do something about it.
If a woman said that about men, I don't think people would automatically be assuming they were horribly sexist. Just that they were venting.

Load More Replies...i mean, we're not gonna pretend like women don't have some things that irritate us right?
everyone saying gender is made-up: it's really not. I don't know how to explain it, it's deeply ingrained in your head to the point where it's just kind of *there*, but you would definitely notice its absence.
I don't know why some people who strongly identify with one of the 2 conventional genders (and I am one as well) get so offended that others may not. How does it affect them?
What you call 2 conventional genders is just one: cis gender.
Load More Replies...People conflate sex and gender. There are two sexes. Gender is a social construct and you can have as many of those as you want, they're socially constructed, most of them will go away again anyway.
Load More Replies...Gender is a social and emotional concept (sex is the biological classification, and I think many people still struggle with the difference). As a result, no matter how many labels/boxes we create to try and capture everyone, there will still be people who struggle to fully identify as one of the limited number of options available. As a result, I find it difficult to identify any value in gender as a concept. I much prefer the approach of accepting that biological sex isn't an appropriate way of choosing to treat people differently and to try and treat everyone equally and without making any assumptions about what kind of genitalia they have, what they like to do with it, or it having any bearing on how they like to live as an individual person.
Yeah, but most people who think like that don't self-identify as racist lol. So you gotta ask questions like this to get to the truth.

Load More Replies...Oh dear gods, as someone who studies ethology (behaviour or animals, humans included, in their natural habitats), zoology in general and has a lot of experience with this sort of stuff, I cannot put a big of an emphasis on this to explain how absolutely stupidly INCORRECT this is. This is unbelievably harmful, unethical, baseless and blatantly incorrect. There are many socio-economical reasons as to why specific nations with specific races score lower and that's because of bad social conditions they live in. Intelligence isn't even a f*****g scale, it's an extremely complex stat tree which allows different organisms (as well as individuals) to process things differently. Some organisms are specialised for specific processing while others surpass them in other aspects. Humans aren't "the most intelligent", let alone a freaking race of humans. I could write you pages upon pages on this and why this is utterly disgusting, this individual has just shown how uneducated they are.
The fact that they are racist Prolly wouldn't be controversial at this point.

Ew, it’s a Republican. They shouldn’t be allowed in normal places.
I think he should have said capitalism is ruining the world. Well what capitalism has turned into is ruining our lives. Capitalism very well may have been intended for good and for us all to be able to equally thrive. But that is not how it is or what it's become. Capitalism has become only a select few things financially. While other's are taken advantage of and exploited. Pretty much some people capitalizing off of many people. Whereas socialism is addressing that fact and wanting at least our basic needs as human beings to be spread equally and live comfortably.
I meant only a select few gain things financially.
Load More Replies...It is body shaming when you feel the need to put someone down for their appearance based on of what YOU believe is a standard for beauty or health. If that's the case, you're an a-hole

I hate the spelling but he’s not wrong. A bunch of women can ogle a hot guy’s bod, but it’s no longer PC for men to do that to a woman. I think women have picked up that habit as it was normalized, and are slow to recognize it’s the same behaviour they abhor.
He was talking about body shaming? Not sexual harassment
Load More Replies...All I need is someone with decent hygiene and the ability to join me on adventures. And self sufficient. I am NOT your Mom.

it IS ahuge deal because you are part of the problem. Mutations happen for a reason
I was the same. I mean, I didn't know a lot about it, I live a fairly solitary life... getting it was not a priority. But I did have travel plans and was afraid that I may not be able to leave the country so I got it. I still don't have a huge stance on it. Get it, don't get it, do what you want.
I am going to be honest that I can understand being unsure about it. I do not condemn people for being unsure. However the people that are refusing it to try and make a political stance are only causing the pandemic to continue. Now that there's not full protection - the virus has the chance to mutate and become vaccination resistant. I can understand people being hesitant. I get it. However the Vaccine is going to save lives and people do need to get it so we can beat this thing. I'm just saying I can understand someone being nervous - especially with health issues or whatever. But not doing it for the reason of being some stupid martyr is pathetic
All you need to do is look at the statistics to know this is false.
Odd then that auto insurance costs more for young men than young women...gee, wonder why that could be?
Which brings up the question of why it is that the law banned charging women more for healthcare, but not charging men more for auto insurance. Why should I have to pay more just because of my gender if I'm a good driver? We don't make women pay more for medical care anymore.
Load More Replies...And they want to flex their little egos and show everyone how powerful they are by driving aggressively/unsafely.

And yet, every time I see someone driving like an idiot, the driver's got a pronounced beard (and is usually wearing a duck-bill cap for some reason, I guess those are in style right now?)...
Actually we are the better drivers. Most accidents are caused by men. I never caused an accident. But every, luckily, harmlos incident I was involved in was caused by a men. Every single one. So choke on your misogyny seriously.
im sure that is your 'lived experience' or some crap, but you are wrong.
Load More Replies...Problem is, Nazis took eugenics and twisted it in something evil. It shouldn't be bad to try and stop genetic diseases from occurring by not having children. The Nazis went too far, selecting on hair- and eye color and subjective standards. That is wrong. Trying to prevent diseases is not wrong.
Load More Replies...Eugenics is the foundation on which racism and intolerance grows. The idea that someone is somehow genetically 'superior' is exactly what perpetuates hate. How about his - use science to search for CURES to benefit ALL of mankind. He does make a strong case not to have children (or a relationship) with him, though.
Eugenics is only bad because it requires a perfect person/people to decide who should reproduce and who should not. And that doesn't exist, so it could never be implemented without ending up in Hitler territory to a greater or lesser extent. "Who decides?" having no good answer ruins a lot of otherwise good ideas.
People rag on eugenics because the Nazi's took the idea and went to the friggin' moon. The basic idea of it is already something nature does with how animals select a breeding partner. People hear the word eugenics and automatically assume we're going to be euthanizing every child born with dark hair and eyes. Calm down, folks. It has its uses, like stopping Karen's from being born.
The use of eugenics predates the Nazis and is a very unfortunate part of US history as well. It can’t be implemented ethically. No government can be trusted to decide who gets to have children, and forcible sterilization is inherently a huge human rights violation.

Load More Replies...Equal in almost every way, yet not *TREATED* equally. Equality and equity are huge problems that need addressing. More women in positions of power would be a great start towards alleviating these disparities.
Move to my fictional country, Keredrakk! Women are usually in positions of power due to better problem-solving and diplomacy skills, there is infrastructure in place for unwanted pregnancies/special needs children/etc, there is almost no racism ("almost" because there are two species who will NOT let other species integrate with them), and everyone is well educated and taken care of.
Load More Replies...It's as if some men completely forget that we're all HUMAN BEINGS first and foremost and that is what makes us equal!!!
Men and women aren't equal, but they should be treated equally in context of law and society. A differention in medicine would be great as it could save some lifes
Equal is not the same as identical. Women and men are not identical, but they are equal.
Load More Replies..."Black Lives Matter is racist" "Hate crimes need to have stronger consequences" this man's a living contradiction
Black Lives Matter - as long as you're fighting against racism not another race. Same with the feminism movement. Saw a post which sums it up: the enemy is racism, not another race; the enemy is sexism, not men (or women). I don't think the Black Lives Matter movement is racist, people literally just want racism and discrimination against black people to stop because people are dying

Load More Replies...Mandating the COVID vaccine is perfectly legal, established by legal precedent (Jacobson v Massachusetts). In the US, you cannot attend public school unless you've been vaccinated for measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, varicella, and several more.
how is black lives matter racist? you're standing against racism, not standing against people of another race-
It isn't, but insecure white people want to continue believing nothing's wrong and freak out when challenged on it.
Load More Replies...It’s funny how conservatives— I mean “independents”, think something that highlights racism is itself racist.
Nope. Besides the hypocrisy of pro-lifers not caring about *after* the child's born or preventative measures like birth control and legit sex education (the "abortion only" areas are INFAMOUSLY hotbeds of unwanted pregnancies and STIs compared to areas that teach more comprehensively,) there's arguments within that movement about what's "exceptional" or not. You have some that draw the line at rape and incest (which is considered "left" by their standards despite it still meaning a woman has to be *violated* before she has any right to her own body) and then you have the hard-liners that say "NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER!" so if a 13-year-old girl was raped, impregnated and the pregnancy was dangerous to her own life, they'd still say "Deal with it, God's will". And that's *not* even getting started on what "counts" as rape as guys like the late, NOT-great Todd Akin who echoed the pseudoscience that women can only get pregnant while consenting, thus it was s**t-shaming actual victims.

Right, I'm sure that Peruvians (highest death rate per capita from Covid) are so happy that Trump is out of office that they calmly accept all those orphaned children. /s
Load More Replies...Yes! Every country comprised of many racial groups, political persuasions, nationalities, ethnicities, language groups managed to agree on a strategy to remove one orange turd from office, in a country that thinks it is the greatest on the planet but is in fact increasingly irrelevant.
Besides the obvious GLOBAL effect, it's funny that not only was he told EARLY about the virus and KNEW it was serious based on the phone calls he had, but also the fact that evangelicals (who would *blame* a Democrat president in the same situation and have before,) were claiming the virus was Former Guy's test/chance to prove his greatness... and instead he did the usual deny, deflect, blame, etc. until he got bored and gave up to simultaneously deny the effectiveness of vaccines and want credit for Operation Warp Speed just the same, so it's this double-talk from the cult to NOT want to take the vaccine (and harass/lecture people who do,) yet STILL want him to have credit for it anyway. 🙄
Curtis, You misspelled c**t. It doesn't have an L.
Load More Replies...So true! NOT! That's why Trump caught Covid and why he got vaccinated before he left office...because it's all fake. Like the time he told the press that doctors were going to see if they could kill the virus by injecting bleach into the body...that was all fake too.
This made me wonder for a half second if I had missed an amazing crossover somehow.
Alright so that's a big no for LOTR, it's not overrated at all, it's the best movie franchise ever made.
high school musical? what is that? never heard of it. and we ONLY see american movies.
I always thought it was weird how much American stuff was on tv when we lived in PTA. Sorry for the shitty exports haha. HS Musical (I believe there was a 2nd and 3rd sequel) is not worth going back to watch in my opinion. Basically a jock (Zac Efron) masking his inner creative side which comes bursting out in song. Pretty formulaic high school melodrama set to music.

Anything else "doesn't count" like having a "Black Friend", liking ethnic music/food, non-white celebrities they'd do, etc. This one is just making it nice and clear how comfortably ignorant he is as a white person that this is all he thinks racism counts as.
Load More Replies...Says the white dude. Racism is a HUGE and growing problem as evident in this person's poorly articulated, poorly spelled grammatical disaster of a racist reply.
In the US, redlining is still a thing. Schools in predominantly black neighborhoods receive considerably less government funding than schools in predominantly white neighborhoods. Doctors and nurses are more apt to ignore complaints of pain from black patients, but treat pain for white patients. Racism is alive and well, unfortunately. It's just not politically correct to wave your racist flag around. Mostly.
People are being segregated by race in schools. Every title I school in Florida is compromised of a very similar student demographic. About 70-80% black students, 10-25% Hispanic, about 10% white. And these are also the schools wherein a scarily large percentage of the population will never learn to read. Not for lack of trying, but bc our school system will not allow teachers to go back and teach a student how to read. Yes, I am a teacher, and I do work in a title I school. Yes, I am so sick of hearing the bs excuse that students are not segregated in public schools.
Yes, please diminish my lived experience in favor of your willful ignorance.

i think both people should work so they can end up happier with more money in the future rather than living off of one person. Maybe its because i want to make as much money as possible. Plus if both people in the relationship cleaned and cooked maybe different nights or something it wouldnt be so much stress. But again if thats what you want to do then do it for sure if thats what you agree on then go ahead and do it, thats just my opinion
I kind of understand what he means. Nature tries to find a balance. This pandemic, sad as it is, was bound to happen given the population of the world. It would be great if we could all be healthy all the time and live forever...but it's just not possible. Some people just have a hard time facing the fact that they are not invincible.

Agree completely, we have so little understanding of how the human brain works and is influenced, if chiropractors can't call themselves doctors, why should shrinks??
Let me guess, they are a bully themselves and just trying to excuse their behaviour. Bullying is NOT okay.
If you look at animals and at native tribes more isolated, they show that there is an amount of "bullying" that has always existed in some form to either teach the animal/person how to better fit in with the group or to make them do their fair share. I don't agree with trying to tease someone or hurt someone for no reason but imco (in my controversial opinion) I do feel some people need to stop being sheltered and poked a bit bc when they leave their safe spaces there is no one there to protect you.
Load More Replies...I can assure you that bullying is not good for anyone. Best-case, the victim gets justice and the bully gets punished. And at the end of the day, the damage is still done even then.
My therapist and I disagreed on the subject of bullying. While I do not believe in bullying individuals for whatever slight you can imagine (don't like the way they walk, their haircut, their choice to go vegan), I do believe Social Bullying is a tool we've stopped using and society has suffered for it. By social Bullying I mean: Imagine a young guy named Bob in the neighborhood swindles his 90yr old neighbor out of his life savings, the entire rest of the neighborhood confronts Bob to verbally condemn his actions, the neighborhood reports his actions to authorities, the neighborhood then excludes Bob from EVERYTHING, neighborhood gatherings, putting Bob's trash cans out on collection day when he forgot, or even saying Hello to him on the street. Straight up ghosted by everyone in his community until he makes recompense for his actions. We don't do this enough anymore, and people have learned they can do whatever to whomever and unless the Courts get involved, no 'comeuppance'.
Donald Trump is a hot dog and in today's world a sandwich would have been a better president. Fixed it!
1) Trumpers are so deluded from their own ignorance and what RW media (the *actual* fake news) has told them that they couldn't name 5 actual reasons why he's "the best" and actual interviews with them have backed it up by either claiming falsehoods or outright admitting "I don't know, but I like him". 2) The bubble has made them so out of touch with reality that they *cannot* get how truly hated he was/is to be voted out, losing the popular vote by an even wider margin than last time. 3) Said RW media and GOP are only going to continue to exploit this ignorance as they've done for decades only now with even more overt bigotry, cheating and desperation.
