When I was a kid, my best friend's family had many cats. Those cats would hid under the furniture and when I would walk by they would reach out and scratch my ankles. No one in the family could pick them up without getting their face scratched. I from then on wondered why anyone would have a cat as a pet. Then through my life every cat I ever encountered would dig its claws into me when I tried to make any kind of contact. It is why I am a dog person.

A German Shepherd once bit me on the ass and dragged me 20 feet when I was 6. Never got over it. Strangely, I like dogs over a certain size, but tiny dogs are the worst creatures in existence. Love cats, though.

Yeah, how people treat animals says a lot about that person. My GF and I live together and are now up to five cats, LOL!

Sorry, birds.....the parrot type. Have not met one that is not annoying, bites, loud, messy, aggressive, mostly impersonal (even sometimes to their owner). Don't dig them. Would prefer fish or reptiles over birds. I have never had a pet crow, raptor, or magpie though.

I love looking at animals but don't physically like being around animals but I feel I'm very trustworthy. I have hyperhidrosis so my hands are always wet so if i touch an animal, i will be covered in hair. I don't like the smell of pee/feces, pet hair laying everywhere, or wet tongues/noses on my skin. I don't feel like that changes how I am as a person.

Not really. Most people in our country dislike cats intensely, and see dogs as mere guardians. Personally do not like dogs because they are intrusive and needy. But they love me for some reason and keep coming to me.

I know some animals can be quick to bite. But they are the rarities. Most of the time if you've gotten bitten, it was Your fault.

You work with or live around animals, you will inevitably be scratched, bitten, peed on ,pooped on, bitten by fleas, stepped on,etc.....but usually not all on the same day. And it does not mean the animals don't love you. Accidents happen. But it also doesn't happen very frequently.

We've pretty much done away with using gendered titles in Norway. I guess doctors are still called by their title, but we don't really use Mr/Ms and don't think we have a Sir/Madam equivalent

As a cis female, I never understood the Ms/Mrs/Ms thing. I am now in my 40's and I still don't. It seems so arbitrary, like what is the line that defines what? I'm down for something more inclusive
