My name is Emma, also known as Movie_mayhem_makeup. I use body paint and special effects makeup to transform myself into different characters or create effects that alter my appearance.
I live in Cardiff with my fiancé and 2 sons who are big game and movie fans, they're amazingly supportive and are always helping me with ideas for my next look. We moved from London just over 3 years ago.
I love using makeup to create all different kinds of art, but I especially love creating illusions that make people say “Wow, how did she do that?”
My interest in special effects makeup began when I worked for a drama company in London. As part of the classes, we would teach the children how to create realistic-looking makeup like the ones used in movies & TV shows. I loved the children’s reactions when we showed them how it was done. I soon realized that adding face or body painting created some amazing effects.

I started practicing face painting and I loved working with children at parties and special events. I built up a large client base which kept me very busy.
When we decided to move away from London, I had to begin to build up a new client base. While I was in the process of doing that, I had more time available and I decided to keep practicing by doing the makeup on myself. I created an Instagram page to showcase this.
Yeah, coralines mother used to be just in my dreams.

When the pandemic hit, all the work I had outside of Instagram came to an abrupt halt. I’ve loved being able to carry on with my art through this channel and also working with all the other artists. It’s been an amazing social channel, especially at a time when we were so limited in how we could connect with people.
The space from the top of nose to your hair has grown a lot May be photoshop?
Check my Instagram theres a video of it showing it's all makeup- I never use photoshop but I take it as compliment you thought it might be 😀

I know I said awesome for everyone you did, but this one is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen anyone do with makeup!

Wow! How long did it take you to do this. It looks like gamora. If you did this quicker than marvel I’m impressed!
