Not always my male German Shepherd mix starts flopping his big head on me and fusses if he and his sister aren't fed between 6 and 6:30 every day. If I don't get up at 6:30 when my alarm goes off he either plops his head oh my legs or lap or divebombs me if I fall asleep in the recliner. My14 yo cat that died last month would only meow at us if her gravity food and small water feeders were empty.

When you said it was a robin, I forgot that these are the true robin birds. In western Washington, including in the Cascade Mountains, there's a much bigger bird with a red breast (the males have the coloration) and a beautiful trilling call that is called a robin.

Please be careful about feeding a "neighborhood cat" because some cats have owners and are on special diets. My cat kept putting wight on and neighbor was purposefully leaving expensive cat food out for him and eventually just stole him completely. When I got him back I had to remind her leaving food out is illegal because it attracts bears, wolves and dog packs and he was getting fat and sick from the food.

Hedgehogs love cat or puppy food, it's recommended by rescues to leave some out if you have hedgehogs visiting!

Yeah my 90 and 110 lb German Shepherd mixes think they are lap puppies & when they jump or climb in the recliner with us it's OOF! If I'm on the couch they fight over who tries to claim me and will climb over each other. They are so jealous of each other especially the male.
