Thanks to a South Korean tattoo artist, we can now take our beloved pets everywhere we go. Sort of.
Even though tattoos are illegal in South Korea, a Seoul-based artist named Jiran is known for specializing in unique and fun pet tattoos. Instead of focusing on extreme detailing, Jiran recreates the pets in a fun way. Every single one of his cartoon-like tattoos is cheerful and brings out the pets' true spirit. You can find more of his tattoos on Instagram.

Spot the Real Pup
I fully agree! I have just died from cuteness overload.
Load More Replies...I though that dog was a stuffed toy... It looks so unrealistic, not saying that's a bad thing, he/she is very cute

I'd love to get a tattoo of my cat penguin but in UV ink so i can be serious. Because society has a bias way of thinking about people with tats.
Just get a regular one in a place you can hide it.. How often are you going to enjoy a tattoo if you can only see it in UV light?

I love this one, it's so clever. I like how they have slightly rearranged the cat's positions to make it look comical. (That B&W kitty in the actual photograph is amazing, the black is like BLACK and the small plotch of white on his/her face is AMAZING and stands out perfectly)

Whisker Wonders
NOO they got the B&W cat's face marking wrong!! That's the cutest part!! xD
You'd lose the face detail with black in black in this style. I get you though.

Yeah, it's a nicely groomed mini White Korean Pomeranian.

You guys really think Korean tattoo artists don't know what POT is/looks like?? LOL
The tattoo artist must be a huge troll, I doubt Koreans are aware of what those leaves really are ...
Unlikely BFFs Forever
HOW does this tattoo artist do such FINE and light shading like this? THIS is what makes it so damn amazing and gorgeous!

I guess I am known to be very critical when it comes to tattoos, even though I have to admit that some have quite artistic values. But these...you may like the style, but they utterly fail to capture the dogs' and cats' expression, personality, and mood. Some even seem to be ironic, turning the animal appearance up and down.
Besides: The text claims "Instead of focusing on extreme detailing, Jiran recreates the pets in a fun way". This is a contradiction to the fact that supposedly this "brings out the pets' true spirit", which is a rather arrogant claim. I do not know these pets' true spirits, but I guess most people who love to be around with pets will agree that the depiction hardly seems to capture their "true spirit". Sorry for being negative here, but I find animals too awesome to reduce them.
Load More Replies...In Korean culture, the dead is buried with pot leaves. More like hemp, because there aren't buds or anything.
Load More Replies...Some of them dont even resemble the animals.... and im totally confused about the pot leaves!😂
I don't know if these are real if you look closely they look drawn on!
I think these have to be taken in the spirit in which they were created.... Naive and charmingly cartoonish.... I love this style , art is subjective after all.....
Whether you like the tattoos or not, that's a personal matter. But these tattoos are done very good. You don't see any mistake in the lines, fat lines where they have to, thin lines where they have to, and the color is in the skin. The lines are all nice and smooth, nowhere a crack to be seen. Good job!
I agree! I don't know why you are getting downvotes ( ་ ⍸ ་ ). If the person likes it, then it's perfect!
Load More Replies...These are not tattoos, in some pics you can see colors spread (white lines on top of black), this is some kind of bodypaint!
