Extremely poor title, BP. Millennials weren't even born when this movie was released.
The current (but everchanging) BP headlines mentioned the 90s? This is a 70s Disney film.
Well, I can confirm this movie was absolutely trending in the early 90s again. So were a lot of the old Disney classics. I remember having seen Snow White in a cinema at christmas time in 1990, and it was originally from 1937.

there was 1 brand of erasable pen that actually worked and we were allowed to use it starting in 5th grade
The Papermate "Erasermate" pen is still being sold.

It's the 90s, it was that "glass and chrome" phase. The wood paneling was back in the 70s and 80s ;)
Load More Replies...Ask any ’90s kid, and they’ll tell you the decade was pure magic. But what exactly made it so memorable? From cultural moments to technological firsts, the ’90s were packed with trends and experiences that shaped a generation.
Let’s talk TV because in the ’90s, it was everything. Shows like “Friends,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” and “Saved by the Bell” became weekly rituals. Unlike today’s binge culture, you had to wait an entire week for the next episode. And who could forget waking up early on Saturdays for cartoons like “Rugrats” and “Animaniacs?”
Omg
Ironically, Tom Selleck was the first choice to play Indiana Jones but couldn’t get out of his contract for Magnum PI so the part went to Harrison Ford!
Then Tom Selleck was filled with regret so he starred in Quigley Down Under, which he also almost didn't get because of Magnum PI.

I feel you. That's why I buy men's jeans on Amazon and men's cargo shorts from Costco. Eff pocketless women's clothing. XD
Load More Replies...The music scene was just as iconic. Pop stars like Britney Spears and Spice Girls ruled the charts, while Nirvana and Pearl Jam gave grunge its moment. Boy bands like NSYNC and Backstreet Boys became household names, and MTV was actually all about music back then.
Things We Did When We Were Children.... For No Reason
Uh huh yes, when we were children and definitely not in the 3 or 4 decades since
Zap Zap 🔫
I remember it tasting gross af but all the other kids were doing it so I did too. My childhood was a series of weird decisions.

I remember how things would be at the cinema for ages, then a long time later, it would come out to rent, and another long time later it would come out to buy. Wasn't there a brief while after DVDs came out that they would come out before the video?
Load More Replies...Let’s not forget the movies. Disney’s “The Lion King” and “Aladdin” were instant classics, while “Jurassic Park” gave us dinosaurs like never before. And then there was “Titanic,” the epic romance that had everyone crying (and singing “My Heart Will Go On” on repeat).
The FOUR most beautiful people in the world. Don't forget Oded Fehr playing Ardeth Bay and Patricia Velasquez playing Anck-su-namun.
And it's not like John Hannah and Arnold Vosloo were hard to look at either.

Idk why now, but I recall trying to make the bunny go faster than the turtle. (This was when I was really, really young, ok.)
My little sister asked me how to make the bunny win. I had to break some hard news to her that day.
Load More Replies...Not to spoil the fun, but I had this early 70's. But it made a comeback in the 90's
I did and i still do. Not the same exact one but i found one in the box at a thrift store a few years ago and had to have it
The teens and other kids disappeared during covid and they haven't returned. People just don't hang around like they used to. We are a beach city so , maybe people just hang out on & around the water more. There are more cars than ever on the road though, which isn't very pleasant. Lots more idiots driving Ford F-150 type trucks with very , unnecessarily loud engines.

This Ride!
Once. Never again. I decided during that ride that I would su*ci*d* on my own terms, thank you.
Load More Replies...Yup. Travelling fairs here call it the Gravitron. Love that ride. Adventure Land in Des Moines, Iowa has one called the Silly Silo that was effectively the same type of ride, but the walls were more vertical than diagonal.
Load More Replies...Great ride unless someone threw up. The vomit would spin right along with the ride, hitting the people closest to the puker.
EXACTLY what I came here to say, lol!!!! Great memories, eh, Gary!?
Load More Replies...A few years ago the kids were going on this and the ride attendant muffled my husband and I inside. It was the most awful experience as an adult, and the smell...
Was that the centrifuge? I threw up on that during a weekend out in boot camp!
I remember it being called The Gravitron. You got sick on this one weekend during boot camp? What was this boot camp for, exactly? The boot camp that I attended barely had weekends, never mind would let us leave.
Load More Replies...This was the best ride ever!! I'd get off and go stand in line to get on again!

You pushed the pedal back to stop .Which is why they were called push bikes.
Load More Replies...I had one of these pedals hit me in the knee at high speed when colliding head-on with a friend riding the opposite direction around a blind corner by the elementary school. Went through to the bone. 26 stitches in two layers. To this day, I still have no feeling in that knee.
When it came to fashion, the ’90s didn’t hold back. Think chokers, scrunchies, windbreakers, and baggy jeans. It was a decade where you could mix plaid with neon, and nobody would blink an eye.
Only during the 1998-2000 period, or maybe certain industrial/techno acts. The rest of the post-Nirvana nineties had lots of videos shot on, like, super-8 of the band casually hanging out in whatever they were wearing and doing, uh, not terribly much. But the editing and camera angles were usually pretty cleverly worked out and the colors often engagingly bright, so there was that. Also: very stark, moody black and white for bands were working the whole angst thing. Lots of emphasis on band members' long hair or bare chests in those. See Pearl Jam's clip for "Evenflow," or, even better, don't.

Load More Replies...That tumble down the hill was enough to make it rated R. We know what they were doing. Disney.
Sports legends defined the ’90s too. Michael Jordan wasn’t just a player; he was a global icon. Serena and Venus Williams started making waves in tennis, and the Olympics were full of unforgettable moments that inspired a generation.
My brother and I spent weeks building a truck yard for our Tonka's. We had the most elaborate roads and bridges. We had dump yards and service yards and roads to the various jobs. Once it was finished we were over it and never played with it again. Stepdad was a truck driver and we were so poor we lived in the truck yard .

Throwing up every single morning from nerves, being bullied to the point of s*****e, no friends, no help from teachers, the bullying being blamed on me rather than the bullies, crying myself to sleep every night both from loneliness and the thought of having to go to school the next day, getting yelled and screamed at by my father when I begged and begged to stay home, and called ''not normal'' for not having friends...yeah it was a dream all right. A fkn nightmare.

I Got A Flip Phone And I Still Can
You still can if you try hard enough - although it’s more a once per device thing now. “Everyone gets one”.
Oh, I definitely still can. I don't have a cell phone, only this traditional landline. RSCN6595_b...98a6d5.jpg
The internet as we know it began in the ’90s. Sure, it was slow, hello, dial-up tone but it was revolutionary. AOL chat rooms, MSN Messenger, and those first shaky webcam calls were thrilling innovations. It was the start of the digital age we can’t live without today.
😂🤣
The ’90s had a unique vibe, blending simplicity with innovation. Families spent time together watching VHS tapes or playing board games, and life moved at a pace that allowed for real connection. It was a time of discovery, experimentation, and a lot of heart.
Mr. Bean's version of the nativity is always going to be my favorite.

Load More Replies...I snuck out to the Living Room ang watched the "Outer Limits". "The Zinti Misfits" [ BUG ALIENS!] scared the c**p out of me! [1960s] As for "Freddie", he was very scary in the first movie, but wickedly funny in the sequels. I actually liked him [ Robert Englund] better in "V". Very nice man who treats his fans well.
Outer Limits is a great show. Haven't watched Freddie since the first.
Load More Replies...When I was...6ish?...I woke up in the middle of the night to pee. I also needed a drink and ma was up watching a movie. I came out from the bathroom to ask if I could get a drink and I saw this seriously scary ghost chick chasing this other chick through the house. I couldn't look away. I almost lost my 6y brain when I saw the scene where the ghost chick passed thru the locked door. I knew then that I could never be safe from monsters.
I'm 43. I sleep on a Japanese-style shikifuton directly on the floor. This is because it has provided me the best sleep I've gotten, not at all because I believe that Freddy would be waiting under my bed if I had a regular box spring mattress on a frame. Yep.
I watched the original when I was 12. At a church lock-in. It was my first-ever horror flick. I slept with a crucifix for three weeks after that one. Lol
Freddie wasn't scary he was funny AF; The Ring was the first movie since I was a child in the 70s that I had to turn all the lights on to my bedroom and turn them off on my way to bed. It came out in 2002, and I saw it in my mid-thirties, I was shaken.
your childhood movie was aladdin, lion king or e.t, so please, stfu
I remember my teachers wearing these and to this day for some reason makes me think of Ms. Frizzle (Who I don't think ever wore something like this...)
This was worn by either the nicest or the meanest teachers ever. There was no in between.
Correct. My kindergarten teacher wore the one on the right and she was so cruel. She'd literally grab you by the ear and YANK if you did any little thing wrong.

reminds me of when I jumped off the top of a car with an open umbrella hoping to fly like Mary Poppins
I once decided to see how far I could ride my bike with my eyes closed. On the street, with possible traffic. It went great until I hit a parked Jeep. I needed stitches in my forehead after that one. (Yes I have lots of battle scars from childhood. And to this day I never hear the end of this incident from family)

We used to rake my neighbor's leaves, then jump from his second story porch into the 5' pile, lol.
When I was 9yo, my parents bought a house in a development that was just beginning to be a neighborhood. We had loads of fun on those construction sites. Don't get me started on the number of refrigerator box forts we made.
I think those of us who were kids in the 50's and 60's had a much better childhood than the kids of today! We had so much freedom!
Reminds me of when my sister was 7 or 8, when we had an old school trampoline with the springs around the perimeter and no netting, she tried to jump from the trampoline into the in-ground pool. She didn’t jump far enough, and would have c*****d her head open if Dad wasn’t there to catch her.
This is most definitely not 90s. Fashion says early 80s to me.

I was 15 years old when it was released and I went to see it in theaters with one of my friends. Said friend and I both had pretty obvious crushes on each other, but neither one of us had had the guts to admit it. To make things extra awkward, my dad drove us to the theater.. and then decided to stay and watch the movie with us. I think I was frozen in absolute burning embarrassment during all the romantic scenes XD Thinking back, my dad probably knew darn well my friend and I liked each other and wanted to be a chaperone, ha.
And NOBODY would rewind the first tape before returning it to the store. grrrr.
I watched IT tape 2 before tape 1 when I rented it from Blockbuster and it doesn't even really get confusing until you realize it's heading to a conclusion and they keep referencing a childhood you never saw.
and rewinding them before returning. Before midnight, else you pay for an extra day (in Germany)

Ah, but Splinter started off as human. He became rat-like because the ooze transforms creatures to be more like whatever they spent most of their time with, and Splinter was living in the sewer with rats. The Turtles were turtles who spent their time with a human, so they became more human-like.
The Ninja Turtles work the same way as ancient mythology. The stories are told and re-told over and over again and there are many different versions.

A Small Scottish Games Company In 1997 Working On A Game Called ‘Grand Theft Auto’… Not Sure It Ever Took Off Though?
I remember playing the game and my dad walked by while I was playing. He watched me run over several pedestrians while fleeing from police pursuit. He was silent for a few moments, and then said, "Crystal, you know you can't do that kind of stuff in real life, right?" I replied, "Yes, Dad," XD My dad also answered all the "age test" questions for me in the original Leisure Suit Larry games so I could play on the "raunchiest" setting, so... my dad was pretty cool.
in partnership with an American game publisher Take-Two Interactive (who later bought them up) I met on of the brains behind Take-Two Interactive at the time, who said the board was against releasing the game, all the execs like him were for it, and history has never been the same
DMA was behind gta III among other games, like "Lemmings", and "Body Harvest"or "Space Station Silicon Valley, both for N64. GTA III changed everything. We had an arcade near my house called Nickel Nickel, because that's what it cost to play the games - a nickel. I used to ride my bike there during the summers during my teenage years and basically spend ALL day there. I got really good at quite a few of the games - for example Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs. Capcom, K!ller Instinct, Crazy Taxi, and this one weird game where you drive around in a Jeep and lasso animals called "Jambo! I definitely do not have the reflexes and reaction time I used to have back then XD
