We are not trying to tell you that everything is a lie and everybody is a liar, but there are so many instances where one can be scammed, and vacations or business trips are no exception.
Just like Tinder dates don’t always look like they do in their profiles pictures, it’s also not uncommon for even the nicest hotels to look considerably different than they do in the brochures. They might tell you that they have a gym, for example, but what they don’t tell you is what their definition of a gym actually is. A seemingly nice hotel might also tell you that they have a swimming pool, while conveniently forgetting to tell you that it’s full of hardened concrete. Or their interior design choices can leave you with a migraine, and OCD and PTSD upon leaving.

On which planet does it sound legit to install toilets visibles in a bedroom with two beds? Hell, my man and I have been together for 10 years, we have 2 kids and that would soooo not be for us. Tell me it's the kind of glass that turn opaque when the door is closed!

I've stayed in a few hotel rooms like this one; the bathroom glass walls always have roll blinds so guests can still shower in private. I believe this one has it too.
It looks like they are on the bedroom side though so you'd really havee to trust your roomate not to open the blinds. A lot of people might & think it was funny.

I stayed at a hotel just like this. There is a roll down shade that covers the glass.
I can clearly see blinds on that window... if you didn't want to use them was up to you lol
Those things are pretty common in Europe. I went to Barcelona with a girlfriend and got something like that. Are two people ever so close that that want to see that???

We've stayed in a hotel like this. The bathroom wall had a blind you could pull down inside the shower to mimic privacy.
I had a room like that at the Crowne Plaza ANA Okinawa Harborview Hotel in Naha City, Okinawa. The blinds were on the bedroom side of the window, leading into the shower/bathtub.
A lot of high end business hotels have this, I've stayed in many. There is a shade you can roll down. Nothing new here.
I had a similar hotel room when I stayed at hotel 57 in Sydney. The only difference was that the one I stayed in didn't have lines on the glass like the one in the photo. I didn't realise that I closed the shower door one time, that I walked into it, and banged my head. HAHA!

There should be a blind on a switch in the bathroom, so you can privatize it.
There's a reason why some hotels in China are designed like this. men often bring prostitutes they have met for the first time there, and so he needs to be able to see into the bedroom while he is in the toilet to make sure she doesn't steal his things and leave.
Had a similar room once, but there was a curtain if you're with someone else. Wasn't an issue, I was alone in this room.
There's very likely a button in the bathroom that turns the glass opaque.. Been in a very similar hotel room with that function.

These bathrooms have blinds that can be lowered to maintain privacy however, most hotel rooms nowadays come with these see through bathrooms and they are certainly not convenient when travelling with colleagues. I miss the conventional design.
Why not...very convenient & practical .....and you can ask for a "paravent"with ...Chinese writings or Japanese Haiku poems!!!!!!
I have stayed in that hotel and those rooms are pretty cool. There is a roller blind that comes down if required. Also, pretty interestingto be sharing a double bed with a business partner!

My boyfriend and i got a room like this in New York City. There was NO blind or curtain, and we were horrified. We went out and bought a roll of duct tape and taped an extra bed sheet over the glass for privacy. Every morning housekeeping would tear down our sheet and every night we taped it back up.
Now a day, a lot of hotel are liking this... but of course they do have shades for those glass windows
I've seen that outlet before and in very expensive Hotels. Believe me, you get used to it, plus that's very practical if you use often the toilet during the night!!!!
It is literally a BATH room! haha Just don't forget to remove the towels and the toilet paper before showering!

Nothing weird. This kind of design is common in most of hotels in China. There is button to control rolling blind or screen inside the bathroom.

It is not an issue! There is always a button in these rooms that can make opaque the whole wall in glass.
Looks like a hotel I stayed in once that had a sliding glass door that looked out at the Aegean Sea. A window from the tub allowed you an ocean view.
Most if this type of rooms have a screen which you can roll down. This probably has it also as you can see two ropes next to the window..

159- I grew up with one of these. Freezing in winter and scalding in summer- they heat the water 20 degrees celcius from whatever temp it already was. On the plus side when it was perfect the water never runs out- Mum used to turn off the power to get me out. If your waters electrified though something is very wrong!
The cigarette tray is sometime use as coin holder during stay for non smoker, but OK the intention is wrong.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a hotel room in Italy; let me describe it for you: The "bathroom" had no door, just a half-wall surrounding part of it. About 1/4 of the "bathroom" sink had broken off. Part of the porcelain lamp in the "bathroom" had also broken off. Believe it or not, part of the toilet seat had broken off as well. There was one towel for the two of us - and it was of the size used to dry one's hands. Outside the window (which we had to keep open at night, because it was so hot) were a number of containers which looked like they'd been placed so as to form a stair to the window. My boyfriend slept with a string around his big toe, tied to the window - seriously! The provided ashtray was a big bowl (think punch bowl). There was a little fridge and air condition - but only one outlet, so you had to choose. On top of the fridge was a battered old orange dishwashing rack with what looked like someone's private dishes (but at least they were clean). --- Cont.
There was no shower curtain, and the water (in the shower as well as from the sink faucet) was cold. Above what resembled a wardrobe (with a curtain, not doors) there was a shelf stuffed with random objects, the kind you'd find in someone's attic or garage. The only one I remember was a gas container. There was only one pillow, and it was harder than any other pillow I've ever felt. You could feel the springs in the mattress. The ancient carpet was threadbare in places and stained. There was a small, rocky table with a wax cloth and a vase holding thickly dust-covered plastic roses. The chairs were of rusty metal, and there were no cushions. There was no ceiling lamp, only a dim wall lamp. In the stairwell were a number of big plastic bags containing old, unwashed clothes, hats and shoes. The elevator could barely fit two persons (we had to press against each other) and shook violently when in motion.
