India is my motherland and once every year I visit this diverse and beautiful country to photograph the amazing wildlife it holds in all corners. From the mountain ranges in the North to the Nilgiri ranges in the south, from the arid Rann of Kutch in the west to the hilly trails in the east, India is one country that never disappoints a wildlife lover due to its rich fauna.
India's tropical forests have big cats and beautiful birds. I was lucky to photograph the elusive Melanistic Leopard in the southern part of the country this time as well! It was a breathtaking experience, one I would never forget. All photos are taken from my Canon 1D X Mark II and 600 mm.
In case you missed it, do check out my pictures from Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil Atlantic forests, and Peru as well! Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Your pictures allow me to see beautiful wildlife so clearly. Your pictures are my favorite. Thank you.
All these photos are amazing! thank you so much for letting us enter into this world
Tiger
Beautiful lighting. I wonder where it was taken, because the large, horizontal barrier in the back looks man-made. Is it a man-made pond or the remains of an old city/village, abandoned and devoured by nature?
In indian forests, govt builds lot barriers like this to make small ponds. It used to save rainwater for animals in that area.

Dear Supreet Sahoo: Thank you so much for your art. Please be well.
Indian Leopard
What a gorgeous creature. I love how it blends in with all branches and leaves.
Camouflage! You think you'r taking a picture of a tree. HA! Can't see me.
Sri Lanka Frogmouth
They also live in Australia, I see them in my garden from time to time.

My daughter LOVES peacocks! This (and all the other pics!) is stunning!
These colors and motives can not come together by chance , an artist must have designed it! If you spread random colors on an empty canvas and wait, you'll not see it become a masterpiece one day..
Indian Nightjar
Indian Eagle Owl
Indian Peafowl (National Bird Of India)
They say, when god has created peacocks they were colorless or (black/white) Then they asked god, - you gave many colors to all birds why not give a color to us and than god gave all colors to them..
It looks like it could be rather burdensome to drag around...always trying to find the perfect perch to just "happen'" to look fabulous on. "Oh, this old thing?"
i understand peafowl can refer to a peacock +/or peahen, i apologise if I understand that Peafowl can refer to a peahen +/or a peacock .... I apologize if I am wrong !
You are right. I would think that peafowl would refer to a group and that an individual would be a peahen or peacock.

The mood of the masterpiece and the "pop" of the main subject. Astounding.
Beautiful composition- the pelican's red beak and white feathers truly makes it "pop-out".

Do they have another name? i thought they were called something else but can't remember.
You may be referring to a markhor. They are two different animals.

Same. Bird love is bird love. I used to think I had decent knowledge. Every day I discover that I don’t. And I’m delighted to learn.
