Nah, they do think, but usually that thought process results in a lower estimation of competence in women than themselves. This has been studied repeatedly and it's really freaking depressing.

on a similar note (kinda)- I was in the hospital once. They did an IV, but messed it up so blood got all over my arm. I was texting my then gf afterwards about it. She asked for a photo, I sent one and she accused me of faking bcuz my inner forearm wasn't as tan as my outer forearm

Ex coworker was super dramatic one night texts me he beat some dude up at an atm. Sent me a phot w ketchup on his knuckles and a sink full or beer cans. I called him a loser an blocked him.

I had an ex's friend call me to tell me he had been rushed to hospital in an ambulance. Called his mam to check which hospital...she was confused as he had just left her house to go home! I'm gut instinct to finish with him was eight!

My ex-husband was out running around after work and finally called me 4 hrs later telling me that his work buddy's wife was impaled through the chest with a steel post while driving on the interstate. So I checked all the local news stations and outlets, the internet, etc... nothing mentioned about any accidents of this serious nature. Said he had been setting at the hospital with his friend for hours. Didn't come home till 11pm. I told him that we needed to take some flowers to her the next day, Saturday. He started stuttering, backtracking, and decided that she wasn't in the hospital. She was at home. She wasn't impaled by anything, that's what his friend said. She wasn't in that bad of shape. It was just a fender bender and she twisted her ankle. She went to the hospital though because they lived in the projects and she thought she could sue them. I, on the other hand, was home with two babies under 4 years old and 5 months pregnant with my third child. Continued below.

my ex made my daughter (she was around 26 then) lie to me about a "surprise" trip out of town (she still lived with me) then a few years later she said it wasn't just a trip to see her dad..it was he was getting remarried and didn't want me to know since I may just "flip out" I was like WTF...I could care less. Divorced his a*s over 20 years ago! Was more pissed that he made her lie to me

I really don't understand men. If you know for a fact that a woman won't be on board with your s**t, there will be someone who does, so let that woman alone. These are all hard to read but again... I'm gonna call out the BP tendency to man bash. Can we PLEASE strike a balance and occasionally acknowledge that women may tell lies, get caught out, do something creepy, say something hurtful, make men feel unsafe?? Not all women are akin to Astraea (Google if you need to).

This story doesn't fit exactly but I'd like to share... This happened before cellphones were a thing: Boyfriend wanted to prove how much he loved me so he asked me to watch him burn his little black book. He couldn't think of a lie fast enough when, a few days later, I discovered he made a duplicate

The world is full of terrible people. My question to the folks who are blaming the women in these scenarios, is how can you tell who is going to turn out to be a genuine nice guy and who is not? Usually the first clue is discovering a lie... hence these accounts. These guys don't have forehead tattoos or ear tags or smell different... the same is true for predators who spike your drink or random coworkers who stalk women or any one of a host of disreputable jerks. If you really believe that these ladies are just "bad" at choosing men, then help out a bit. Don't be like this. Don't stay silent in support of this. Don't get mad at a woman who wants to take it slow or be cautious. Don't whine about women who try to be diligent and keep guys at arm's length but this pisses you off, 'cuz "not all men". Problem is, good guys and bad guys can look and behave very, very similarly. Until they don't.

Let me give these ladies some advice. If you find yourself constantly attracted to men like this you need to figure why you're falling for the smoke and mirrors of manipulative people. It's likely you fall for others like strippers, aggressive sale reps, populist politicians ....etc. My argument is that there's NO WAY these were a one time scenario. It's likely this toxic behavior was brought to your attention and was dismissed.
