This is beautiful. I wish you both and your kids a long and happy life.
Wasn't the part about using leaves as money from Life, The Universe, and Everything? Hopefully Doggo isn't a telephone sanitizer.
Load More Replies...My dog tries to barter for everything that he wants! Have an ice cream cone? Here's a sock in your lap. Eating pizza? Here's a favorite toy. He also does this to his sister... if she hs a bone or toy he wants, he'll grab another toy and get us to play with it... Every time he fetches it, he looks at her to see if it's working... so basically, my dog plays fetch to "sell" the awesomeness of an unwanted toy to trick his sister into dropping the toy that he wants. Admittedly, I often help him in his endeavors and make a real show out of it 🤣... but - why not - it's a rather nice toy stealing strategy for a dog!
So happy the staff continued to honor this furbabies source of payment 👏 ❤️
The early Sonic the Hedgehog games had this. A second player could control Tails. They could help out, but not be harmed. They could collect rings, which would show a seperate amount for them, but be added to the total in the end.
My son always wanted me to play video games with him, and I suck it. Solution: Playing one of his Lego games where I'm the second player and I just go around scooping up all the coins after he breaks things.
This. I'm terrible at console games. Lego games are wonderfully forgiving to the less adept.
Load More Replies...Nintendo do this in some games already. For example, in Mario Galaxy you can have someone else play as the little Luma to collect starbits and items.
My 4 year old niece inherited her mother's love of jigsaw puzzles. Unfortunately I absolutely suck at them. Any time she wants me to do a puzzle with her I get a toddler lecture about how I'm not doing it the right way. :) If only there was a buddy mode for me where I could cheer her on but not have to actually touch any puzzle pieces!
Back in the 80s I played a game called "Sneakers" on my Apple ][ a lot and my 5 yo niece used to watch me. One day she asked if she could try so I say Yes, let her take my place in the chair and briefly tried to show her how to use the keys. She didn't need much showing and that should have tipped me off because she immediately began racking up stratospheric scores I'd never even got close to before. She'd never played a computer game before in her life.
Load More Replies...This exists (sort of), but I apologize I don't remember the name of the game. A number of years back I would play Wii games with my oldest grandson and his younger sister. Basically, he and I would play, she was too young to really play and would feel left out. There was one game that sort of mainly a solo game but could be played as 2 person coop. The second character was pretty worthless and mostly just tagged along. My granddaughter loved playing the second character because she got to be included. I think it could technically 'die' but there was very little penalty so it didn't really matter. You just respawned and kept playing.
Lord of the Rings Online had a playground zone for new characters. At level 5, you finished the epic quest and graduated to the main game. A person I talked to frequently had 2 boys, aged 2 and 4 at the time. They each had a character in the playground. The boys would run around, jump up and down, etc., but couldn't be harmed. They loved playing the game with their mom.
You might have heard the popular phrase, “Your happiness lies in your own hands." This emphasizes that the kind of life you want to live is subject to what you do, how you think, and how you make decisions, regardless of any external circumstances.
Yet, at times, negative things can get the better of us and overshadow the good aspects of our lives. Fortunately, such uplifting posts come to our rescue and serve as a reminder of the wonderful things in the world.
When I was a little boy I had a dog named Toby. I don't hear that one too often.
I had boyfriend who had dog called Toby. I adored that dog! And the boyfriend, obviously.

I can envision the cat kicking the ball with his back feet as cats do
My cat enjoys doing the same thing, but just replace the ball with my boyfriend's croc.
My cat loves to do this with lottery tickets. I buy the $2 ones just so she can grab them and kick them and play with them🖤
Following 13 years of tracking his own happiness, Alejandro Cencerrado, an analyst at the Happiness Research Institute, says, “If I have to give some advice based on my data, it’s that feeling 'blue' once in a while is an inherent part of life and that the best thing you can do is just to accept it; you cannot be happy forever (neither unhappy).”
The key is to feel content within yourself. When you are cheerful, you will also be able to keep the people around you happy. And even though happiness means different things to different people, there are a few things we can all do to boost our happiness.
Or an introvert who went to party because they know one person and that person decided to not come after all.
Load More Replies...This one is a classic. I believe that the story behind this one is that the dog, whose name is Shiro, is blind and deaf and is comforting this foster rescue kitty.
That makes it even better! Oh no, here comes the onion ninjas - run!
Load More Replies...I kind of wish I had done this. My oldest grandson (now 19) visited recently from out of state and a lot of what he wanted to do was revisit things he had fond memories of. We sat around a fire in my fire pit, we went to the beach and fed bread to the seagulls, visited the ocean learning center (has tanks and a touch pool of local sea life), he took a walk in my woods - 5 acres but back then it seemed like the 100 acre woods to him. He actually got lost once. And visited a few other places. Also some conversations about .. "remember that time". It was very nice. Kind of wish I'd made a more detailed journal over the years.
Aww. I actually started journaling to my daughter when she was little, planned on giving it to her when she turned 21.
Our folks came up in the Depression. They made the best Xmases for us They could, and I think they enjoyed it. I hope.
Speaking of loving family. On Christmas eve my aunt, uncle , my parents and I all went to church. When we got home ..just as the front door opened some bells jingled in the family room down stairs and then the back door slammed shut. I was gobsmacked beyond words. It took me years to dope out that my uncle had zipped back to the house and pulled this off. But we only had one car so how he got back home is beyond me, still.
Let me tell you all; as AMAZING as it is to feel that Christmas magic as a child. To run to the living room just KNOWING Santa had come, it is SO MUCH better when it's your own kids. Like a million times. To see the magic in their eyes. And know they believe and know that you brought them so much happiness, and joy, and magic. It is the absolute best thing in the world. It really is.
Exercise not only keeps you fit and healthy, but it can also improve your emotional state. According to a 2019 review about ‘Therapeutic Benefits of Physical Activity for Mood’, working out for 10 to 30 minutes can help lift your spirits.
When you engage in a physical activity, it stimulates brain chemicals like dopamine that are responsible for making you feel good. It may also increase the production of serotonin, which can help reduce the symptoms of depression.
If you would have told me this is a shot from a movie, I would have believed it! Great photo!
I'm such a cynical piece of sh!t human that I never believe these stories. I always think they're staged and posted for internet points, even tho I can't definitively prove that they are.
Maybe such a kindness will happen to you, and you'll start wondering if they are real.

For many individuals, exploring new places can evoke a range of emotions and experiences. A 2021 study published in the journal “Tourism Analysis” found that going on frequent vacations makes people happier.
The study found that irrespective of factors like age, gender, income level, or level of education, among others, travel frequency has a strong correlation with overall life satisfaction.
What kind of pens stick that well on a banana. I'm totally gonna do it!
Wait these are so cute!!! What a great idea. Also, you're an amazing artist!
I'll be traditionally downvoted for my opinion, but, actually, teachers work really hard and it's quite difficult to maintain discipline among younger students even without external distractions. Fun pictures on bananas - yep, cool, but in the cafeteria, not in the classroom
Don't suck joy from things. No good comes from doing so and I bet it's bad for your soul!
Load More Replies...My son gave me his best friend- stuffed bear Rupert- for my birthday one year. His eyes were filled with tears the entire time as I opened the newspaper wrapped bundle. I said "Bud, you gave me your bear?" With his big doe-y brown 4 year old, tear rimmed eyes, my baby nodded his head so bravely. "What a beautiful gift..." I could barely get out the words as I saw how much this little guy loved me. (I held him up so close and explained how no one, not even mama, could care for Rupert like you Bud. He'd miss you so much. Would you care for him until you start kindergarten ,then I'll keep him with me while you're at school etc) dang onion ninjas live in my brain and LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
When she was about four, my goddaughter gave me a Hello Kitty change purse, because Hello Kitty was her favorite thing in the world. I carried that change purse in my pocket until it fell apart. She's in her late twenties now, and I'm on my seventh or eighth Hello Kitty coin purse.

I collect and post different "beware of dog" signs, stickers, and whatever else..I have dozens on and around my front door.. we have 3 tiny chihuahua mixes that at best might get your pant leg.
It'll lick you to death =) either that, or you'll die of cuteness.
Spending time with your family and friends can also help reduce stress and uplift your mood. If you engage in fun activities with your loved ones, you may feel joy, laughter, or warmth. Therefore, do not miss out on family moments; visit them when you have the chance.
I've seen this so many times, I think that baby's graduated high school by now, but I'll still give it a green arrow.

My neighbor has a stick library at the sidewalk, like a little wooden rack with sticks for the dogs <3 unfortunately my dog is too smol to enjoy fetch very much
Usually, the wooden stick was once a branch on a tree, thus playing fetch can quickly lead to the vet if the stick splinters and the dog accidentally swallows or inhales parts of the stick...🧑🏽⚕️ 🐕 🚑💨
Eating a healthy meal can make you feel better and more energetic. People suffering from depression usually have altered gut bacteria, according to the BBC.
Thus, consuming nutritious food enhances your gut flora while boosting your mood. Though you must experiment with a variety of diets, usually prebiotic and probiotic foods like yogurt, oats, and bananas are helpful.
Nah, that's not "angry duck". It's more like "somewhat piqued duck". Keep trying.
Just wait until you're using the porcelain litter box.
When we do not get enough sleep, it increases negative emotions like frustration and irritability. Sleep-deprived adults require about 8 hours of shuteye every night to wake up feeling fresh. Consistent deprivation of sleep will lead to serious health issues, such as diabetes or heart disease.
A couple of summers ago I was visiting my mum and heard one of her cats singing his "I'm the greatest hunter" victory song. Went out to check and he had a whole pork chop. Never figured out where he got it.
Ask me no questions and I’ll tell you no lies. I saw my chance for a wing and I took it
I'm guessing that's a Birman and either a Russian Blue, Chatreux, or Korat. Or they're both mutt cats.
I once had a beautiful blue gray cat and everyone who saw her wanted to know what breed she was. Those same ones were guesses, but I'm pretty sure she was just a mutt. :) The other cat could also possibly be Ragdoll?

We should try our best to be grateful for the things we have in life. Kristin Francis, MD, a psychiatrist at Huntsman Mental Health Institute, points out, "When we acknowledge the small things in life, we can rewire our brain to deal with the present with more awareness and a broader perception. By reducing stress, gratitude reduces depression and anxiety. Keeping a gratitude journal or consistently verbalizing gratitude can help manage negative emotions like guilt and shame."

Load More Replies...Basically yeah. With my niece I would give her her 12 am/3 am feedings and if she was up I'd just lower the lights and let her chill on my chest till she snoozled back out while I read a book. It worked as long as I kept it to down very low and read e-books on my phone. Black background and white text. A white background with black text woke her up if I accidentally angled it wrong
This *should* be a basic expectation from ANYONE who is a parent. The fact that people are commending him for doing what he is supposed to do, is incredibly sad. This is not a feel good moment.
It's his first time on the job ok, cut them both some slack

I worked in a mall on a day when people brought their pets to meet Santa. A man came into our store while waiting and was carrying a hedgehog in his arms. With permission I stroked it. Long, smooth quills, a soft feeling.

Omg so pretty! I get so frickin mad when people call them trash pandas. I mean you gonna call some homeless guy a trash monkey or something? It's sad they have to dumpster dive to survive.
I had one, it was great for certain games (like Contra) but it could make doing some moves more difficult.

Oh, Orange Boy. I know what comes next. I'll get the paper towels and carpet cleaner.
My orange boi tries to do this with the "label" of the food bag. Guess his braincell hasn't arrived yet.

I wish. I wish I could find someone like this so very much. Someone to, not just do big things with, but little things. Like holding hands as we grocery shop. Or letting my fingers trail over her waist as I walk past. Laying her head upon my chest as we watch TV. The big things are great too, but the little things make so much. Some of my most favorite memories are of those rare times I had someone in my life, and I'd wake up to put my arms around her and she'd snuggle up against me and we'd just lay there.
He was a Scot/Brit and I was an Aussie/Canuck. We bonded over shared birthdays and Cadbury Flake bars. Over the next 24 years of ups and downs he could always make me smile with a Flake at the silliest times. When I really needed it, you know? Little over a year since I lost him and I still can't eat a Flake bar yet. Silly, isn't it?
