30 Things That Immediately Make People Angry Because They Are So Annoying, As Shared In This Online Group
When talking about things that drive us crazy, we often use the phrase "like a red rag to a bull", referring to the Spanish bullfights. In fact, of course, it is not the red rag itself that irritates the bull - after all, they do not distinguish colors at all, but its flickering and the noise of the crowded arena. But the phrase has taken root, and now it is most often referred to by people.
And indeed, there are things and situations that, unfortunately, are quite common in our lives, for which literally a moment is enough to turn an ordinary and very satisfied person into, let's say, the Hulk on minimum bid. And there are plenty of such things in the world around us.
There is a popular thread in the Askreddit community where the author of the original post asked the question: "What immediately makes you angry?" As of today, the thread has over 1.5K upvotes and nearly 3.2K comments. What can we say? We had no idea that things that seem so completely harmless at first glance can drive people into a frenzy!
If you're intrigued, it's time to start scrolling through this selection of the most popular, unexpected and really annoying comments that Bored Panda has made especially for you. So, please, feel free to read for your pleasure, mark the submissions you like most of all and be sure to scroll to the very end.
By the way, let's add one more thing that literally makes us mad - the absence or a small number of comments on posts. This is by no means a call to action, but we are so extremely happy when we see your comments - why not please us once more?

People hurting animals
Anyone who hurts animals and children will have a special place set out for them in the bowels of Hell ... and if they don't ... i'll drag them there screaming myself!
F**k animal abusers f**k animal abusers f**k child abusers f**k child abusers, f**k anyone who does either of those
I honestly believe animals have spirits and are incredibly precious and deserve respect and dignity. It's so deeply infuriating when people are cruel to animals. May everything in their lives turn to ash and their tastebuds turn to chalk!
I'm with you on that Devon, you only have to look into their eyes to see the beauty inside x
Load More Replies...I would kill an animal abuser and pray to go to hell just to kill them again
"Annoying" is not a word I would ever apply to animal abuse. It's far too mild of a word.
The link says "what-makes-you-angry-askreddit" - that sounds appropriate
Load More Replies...Absolutely disgusting. My father used to hit our dogs (hard) when they misbehaved. My mom finilaized their divorce yesterday.
I'm sure he used to beat the hell out of her since he enjoyed hurting your dogs :-(
Load More Replies...there is nothing worse than this and i wish the absolute worst pain on every human who does something like this.
I think Ricky Gervais said it best about people who hurt or scare animals, best you look it up yourself.
Our family home was close to the worlds first koala hospital at an area called "koala crossing" as there was a road next to it. Word got out that someone was targeting & hurting koalas overnight. My father spent 3 nights waiting in the bush to catch the culprit/culprits. The culprit/culprits got word that he was waiting for them & they never returned. We hunted all our lives but for food. Cruelty to animals was something that was not tolerated.
It's insane how hard it is to make charges stick to animal abusers and even in SEVERE cases of cruelty its only a fine in like 99% of cases. IF there's jail it's like 6 months...some f*cker dragged a pit bull behind his truck on a rope till its feet were gone and didn't even get a year...I'm physically sick with anger.
So, can anyone tell me: My twins (22 months) are usually very empathetic and know how to approach and pet our (shy, but patient) cat. Is it "normal" at that age for them to sometimes aim a kick at her or pull her tail, even though we always react to that in an appropriately horrified manner? It seems independent of their feelings (no jealousy, no anger in those situations) and I just can't explain it to myself. They never see anything like it from my husband and me...
Could it be your kids are jealous when seeing you pay attention to your pet?
Load More Replies...I would add to this people who are too lazy to walk their dog properly. It really annoys me to see a person staring at their phone while a dog is afraid of passing traffic in the city center. Many people "walk" their pets on a small strip of green near where I live. The roads on either side of this strip are busy. there is a quiet park five minutes' walk away, but apparently it's too far. Makes me mad sad.
This trend of "rescuing" animals for upvotes when you know damn well they are harming the animal to begin with.
How do you know that some of us are not already Vegans?
Load More Replies...People abusing children is number one on my list.
This should be at the top. Why have kids if you hate them enough to hurt them? Don't have kids if you can't handle stress or frustration.
People who are rude to fast food workers and store clerks. Like, they're doing you a service, why be rude? It ain't the cashiers fault the McRib ain't on the menu.
Seriously, do you really want to p**s off the people handling your food?
Calling a gigantic corporation knowing full well I will speak to a robot for the first 5 minutes, on hold for the next 30, to explain my situation to 3 different people, of which none will help me.
Whenever I call a place that has an automated call system like that, I just say "close my account" or "cancel my service". In most cases that will get you routed to their customer retention department and you get a live person right away. Those are also the best agents to ask about getting a discount or promotion, because they typically have access to the best/largest discounts.
Waking up before your alarm thinking you still have a couple of hours to sleep. Then you check your phone and realize you only have a few minutes.
People
I think my lack of love for crowds of people has got worse as i've got older, when younger I went to many festivals and concerts it never bothered me. Now it's like where the hell did all these people come from .... go away!!!🥺
People not using turn signals properly.
Indeed! Turn signals aren't just to alert other drivers of your intended actions but also help to prevent accidents. If you don't use your turn signals, you're not just a dumbass, you're a threat to the safety of others.
People who are never on time. When I say I’ll be there at 5pm I expect you to be ready and walking out the door when I pull up.
People not picking up after their dogs.
Not sure if it makes me angry, but maybe close. Especially since when I'm walking my dog, I don't want people to think it's me who is the culprit.
What makes me even more disgusted with some of my dog-walking neighbors is the fact that 3 of them bag their pup's poo only to drop the bag on my property. Why bother bagging it if you're just going to leave it? Oh, that's right. You people are making life easier for me because I can just pick the bags up and put them in the trash. NO! BRING THE BAG OF POO HOME WITH YOU AND THROW IT OUT YOURSELF.
Slow walking people in the middle of the pavement lol
Yes, that really upsets me. And they are not only slow walking, they even stop suddenly every few steps.
When people fake diseases and disorders for attention. No Sarah, you aren’t autistic and dreamsexual. It’s personality you lack, not chromosomes
Those people are making it worse for those with actual diseases and disorders.
When I'm Cut off in a Conversation.
When People Talk down to me.
And when people dont listen to me.
When people shout down the other person in a disagreement—-and are also dead wrong most of the time. Shouting someone down doesn’t mean you won the argument. It just means you loudly proclaimed that you are an a*****e.
Someone assuming my opinion or intentions before asking me directly.
And especially when they misunderstand what I mean or said but refuse to let me explain and instead throw a screaming fit.
People who break the rules of the road at others expense (cutting people off, not using turn signal, using the shoulder to skip traffic, ect.) Even when it doesn't inconvenience me directly
People who cut ahead of you on the road only to go slow.
If you're in such a hurry to risk my life and yours then push your foot down on the pedal a bit more.
When someone defends Nazi's or people with similar mentality because "you need to respect everyone's opinion".
No, I don't. Not if their opinion involves murdering or oppressing people.
Fascists can f**k right off and so can the people who defend them.
Everyone bangs on about freedom of speech. Here's the thing the responder to that speech has the same right. What you say and do has natural consequences, you talk hate then complain when people talk back and hand you your a*s as though you are the unfairly judged and injured party? Come on, wake up to yourself, you are not the only one entitled to have a say or thought on the subject. Cop it sweet just like you dished it up.
People that can't pay attention to movies and spend most of the time on their phones, especially if its a movie that I specifically wanted to show them. Then they ask questions that were already answered and don't get what it was about. Drives me absolutely insane
Same if we are home watching something on tv. If you're not going to pay attention, I am not going to catch you up.
some folks seem to have an utter lack of situational awareness, and as a result are constantly getting in the way of themselves and others
When I see someone consciously, maliciously abusing any being unable to defend itself.
Accidental abuse is more understandable *if* the severity of the abuse isn't high, and *if* it stops when the abuser is made aware of it.
Accidental abuse does not exist. Being kind, courteous, and thoughtful toward others are basic human traits- that everyone should practice
When someone is the only person to hear my idea and then immediately repeats it and passes it off as their own. Makes me feel like Maury in Big Mouth: Rage, rage, f*****g RAGE!
I had this done to me so many times, that in the end I stopped being the incentive one
Being falsely accused.
What is the connection between the post and a cat learning Hebrew?
People who drive slow in the right lane but speed up as soon as you try to pass them in the left lane.
Repeating something after I already said it.
Or having the same discussion over and over again yet never resolving anything.
Being lied to/ignored.
Moral character is not a grey area. You either have integrity, or you don't.
When i’ve just finished cleaning and someone makes a huge mess
Arrogance.
I'm right, Your wrong, end of story. Unless I decide I'm mistaken and then your still wrong.
People with no self awareness
This so much. The lack of common sense and self awareness these days is truly scary.
People weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds for no reason.
There's a perfect reason! They are better than you and have a prestigious vehicle (or position in life according to them) which entitles them to be places faster than anyone else!! /s
Technology not working as expected. And slow internet.
To be fair the fact that any of that technology exists is a frickin miracle. I bet most of you are like me and couldn't explain how it works or why it's not working like it should.
People who are incompetent but don't know that they are incompetent, and they try to fix things that do not need fixing.
Incompetent and lazy, ok.
Competent and lazy, ok.
Competent and hardworking, ok.
Incompetent and hardworking, please get out!!
Just like my boss. Not having a clue about my work but always explaining to me what I have to do.
People ignoring things I say and then getting mad at me later
This happened a lot with a former friend. He's no longer my friend.
Happened at a former workplace too, and was a large factor in why I decided to quit
The grocery store. I’m a calm person and rarely get angry, but every time I go grocery shopping, someone does something totally stupid to make me mad. Like, blocking a whole aisle for no reason, walking in a group that pushes you to the side, how stores randomly change items’ locations so it forces people to look around and buy other things they normally wouldn’t, almost getting run over in the parking lot OR when you’re in the car and people take their sweet time walking by you for no reason…
Ugh, I hate grocery stores. Worst places ever, and I have no idea why they’re the only place to irritate me this strongly
One of my favorite memes says: "I get road rage in line at the supermarket." I felt that so much.
Couriers saying they tried to deliver and apparently no one was home even though you were home and you were within earshot of the door...so they never actually knocked or tried to deliver and then make it a nightmare to redeliver to get your damn parcel.
Government NOT listening to the people. They treat the voters with utter contempt but come election time they will kiss anyones a*s to get the vote then as soon as they are in power they only look out for themselves and their pals, making sure that the poorest in society pay more while the wealthy pay less and then expect the masses to be greatful for doing so.
Dogs that bark for hours each day, every day. We have one behind us, one next door, and one across the road
YES! The dog downstairs used to bark whenever someone approached the house because their windows go out onto the walk - but that stopped when it got used to living with 11 neighbouring flats. But there's a dog across from our house who's always barking for hours at a time, loud enough to disturb my children's bed time, and it's been months...
Load More Replies...People who ask me a question or for help, who have clearly made 0 effort to find the solution themselves. People who blast their music out of their cars so loud the whole street has to listen to it. People complaining about "needing to be PC" because they're no longer allowed to be casually sexist, racist, etc. People who have never served a day in their lives in the military, speaking as if they have any idea what military culture is like (and it's almost always because they oppose women in the military). Whataboutism. (It's a long-a*s list.)
Men who are bald as an egg or who shave their heads and grow a heavy, full untrimmed and unkempt beard. It doesn't make up for not having hair on your head, guys. It just looks barbaric. And also looks unsanitary.
What about when you're having a conversation and in the middle of it the other person just looks at their smartwatch bc they got a message and stop investing in the conversation? It's the same thing as looking at your phone. Only difference is that people now have their phones with them 24/7. I just walk away when this happens. Fu if you're messages are more important then our conversation. And if it is just excuse yourself!!! 🙄
Pizzagirl 91 whenever I accidentally swore at 1 of my kids it was usually "what the hell are you doing", "get the hell away from the street", "damn it stop hitting each other" or something like that. Never actually calling them names or anything just saying swear words in the sentences I was using to yell at them when they were seriously misbehaving or doing something that could've hurt themselves and scared the hell out of me.
I (f.53) live with 2 brothers and my son in a house. We split the costs more or less equally. One of my brothers (F) never learned how to manage money. He keeps “forgetting” to pay his share of the bills, which ultimately affects all of us. In addition, he reacts annoyed and feels hurt when you point it out to him. He doesn't open the reminders or ignores them until the bailiff comes. He's my brother and I love him... but a part of me wants to kick him out.
Being called a liar when I don't lie. Pisses me off even more because my name is that of the daughter of King Prium of Troy who was fated by Apollo not to be believed. Damn you Apollo!
People that leave their cart in the middle of the aisle. I HATE IT SO MUCH.
f*****g up a relationship and seeing your own fault and knowing there is nothing you can possibly do about things you said
