We have all found our own ways to cope with the pandemic that never seems to end. But some things are universal. So to keep your spirits up and balance out all the negativity, we at Bored Panda continue our most positive series.
Below, you will find a collection of wholesome pictures that show there is good left in the world after all. We're talking Nepalese climbers removing trash from Mount Everest to firefighters saving animals; this list has everything it needs to soothe your heart. At least for a little while.

Don't Really Have Anyone To Celebrate With, So I Thought I'd Share With You Guys. I’m One Year Sober
I Just Moved Into My First Very Own Place And Am Living 100% Independently
When you finish going through the pictures, there are more things you can do to make your day a little brighter. Sarah Helen King, psychologist and founder of Invigorise, told Bored Panda that practicing gratitude can do wonders for us.
"Keep a gratitude diary near you and each day just spend a few minutes thinking about one thing you are grateful for, and write it down," Sarah suggested. "Then, whenever you are having a bad day, whip it out and read it. Instant mood enhancer."
For Those Who Step Up
My parents split when I was in first grade. My mom met my step-dad, mark, when I was in second grade. We moved in with him by the time I was in 3rd we moved in to his house. He treated my siblings and I as his own since day 1. He even would watch Gilmore Girls with me and my sister every afternoon. After my mom died when I was 16, Mark didn’t make us go live with our biological dad. He continued raising us as his own. He started out as my mom’s boyfriend and became my dad, my best friend, my go-to for advice.
Mark ended up working 3 jobs while having heart failure, asthma, and diabetes. He did everything he could to provide for my sister and I. He passed away 6 days before I graduated college in 2016. It’s been a few years but I still have trouble on Father’s Day. He could have ditched us when our mom died and we didn’t have enough income. But he didn’t. He was there fighting to put food on the table. Happy Father’s Day for all of the fathers who fight for their children.
Thank Goodness For Common Sense. I Wish It Was Free
I live in what has been described by certain persons as a sh*thole 3rd world country, and I get my life-saving meds free from my local clinic and since the pandemic, as I am high risk and can't go out much, the very lovely ladies come and drop my chronic meds off at my door every month, and I am not charged for this service either. We do give donations though if we can to the ladies. Just something for the Americans to think about. And I am so sorry for all of the people battling financially due to the insane meds prices in the USA.
On one hand, America is my home. On the other hand......
Load More Replies...100% agree that the price is barbaric, but a bit sad that politicians have to experience a problem first hand to want to make a difference.
Why not introduce legislation that removes a price altogether for the public ? You pay taxes that goes towards the upkeep of roads in town and cities across the the US that you'll never use, improves areas of towns and cities that you'll never visit and pay towards a military budget with firearms you'll never use all of this done quite happily. Yet when it comes to making you feel better and curing or managing illnesses through having a healthcare where you get the right medicine or antibiotics without anyone to make a profit is a deeply divisive issue. Quite often, patients are given meds that aren't as effective as it can be, then moved onto another drug with slightly better results and so on until the correct one is given with the most effective results. This should've been done in the first place, however it seems that quite often, it's a case of profits before people.
A hero among us! My moms cancer meds are $65,000 a month. Thank God she has insurance that covers most of it. I mean, what do people do that don't?! Tragic
probably because the one vote he needed to get it passed came from someone you said it can;t be $0 or i won't vote for it.
Load More Replies...This is in Texas, so it probably won't pass. Greg Abbott is already pussed off at this guy because he is one of the Democrats that fled the state. I would love it to pass, but I know that my state legislature is full of Republicans.
It should never be about politics, when lives are at stake, but, it often is, and people die, because of it.
Load More Replies...How about giving it free, along with free needles and diabetic nurse appointments? Like in many countries outside US, where they see that early good care prevents further costly treatments and keeps persons in work force longer.
Huh, what do you want, socialized medicine? We don't want none of that commie crap. We got the best country in the world. USA! USA! /s
Load More Replies...James Talarico is a Texas State House Representative for District 52. He is a member of the Democratic party and he is fighting for the rights of the average citizen out there, not for the wealthy and powerful. Sometimes, I really don't get red-state voters when so many of them vote against their own interests just to "own the libs". They basically screw themselves over just to piss off the people that the rich and powerful republicans have brainwashed them into hating. They probably don't even know why, because most of it is just made up BS. Never mind. Sorry. Didn't mean to go off on a rant. Anyway, this person is a really good guy. That was my point.
Yeah well at this point the republican party is owned by trump and that batshit crazy woman MTG, so it's critical ALL republican candidates get voted out if we want to keep a democracy
Load More Replies...The guys who invented Insulin gave it away for a buck. These companies are criminals.
Interesting bit of trivia...in 1994ish when my kid was diagnosed type 1 diabetic, if I needed a vial of insulin not covered by insurance, I could get it from any pharmacy in Austin Tx for about $12.75. This lovely price held for a long time then the price seemed to skyrocket around 2000 give or take. Never got a good explanation
Load More Replies...Basic Healthcare is a human right that should not be grossly profitable. I don't know why people can't accept this concept.
Because death panels? (According to policy genius Sarah Palin)
Load More Replies...While I'm really glad for you that you and others in your state can now afford at least one life saving drug, it saddens me that Americans are forced to live under this draconian health system. Reading some of the other comments of hard ship breaks my heart
Come to Europe. It is free, here, as long as prescribed by a doctor. And those are also free or dirt cheap.
This is absolutely insane. It's free in the UK. The cost of insulin in the USA is truly inhuman.
But there is a reason for it. Said reason is currently in jail. And the price of this easily made, generic, lifesaving medicine is still way too high.
Load More Replies...Great job, these things need to be free and easily available. Same with women hygiene products..why isn't it free and always available. Absurd.
I had a patient who told me (yes, a patient told me stuff) he buys his insulin over the counter at Walmart. There are many different formulations of insulin, and some of the cheaper, older varieties can and do work well if you pay attention and watch your diet.
How is it possible That americans are so proud of USA but you pay enormous amounts of money just só you can Stay Alive??? Here insulin is free..
Surely a monthly fee from everyone in the USA would compliment a free health service - like the nhs in the UK
It's so needed! Big pharmacy corps should not be able to say who gets to live or die, without the medication needed to survive... THANK YOU!
in any european country, you have to pay nothing for that. You taxes pay for it.
Let me know the next time there is a rally about this. As a type 2 diabetic on insulin, I'm tired of fighting the insurance companies that want to leave me to pay $385 per month for my supply.
I'm fortunate to live in the UK where medicine for people with chronic, life threatening conditions is free. Other medicine is heavily subsidized.
I still pay 200.00 for one and almost 500.00 for another for my diabetes medicine a month and I’m on Medicare, so I go in the donut hole in February once you add all my other medicine into it and I’m only 52YO.
Total disgrace that people have to pay extortionate costs to stay alive
welcome in czech republic, where some drug stores even don't want money from you if you buy your meds for diabetes....
I walk in your shoes. Thank you, for your efforts. May you have many more years if good health.
My wife is Type 1, but here in Japan her insulin and other healthcare costs are trivial, because we have adults in charge. Best of luck with your legislation and your diabetes.
That price is insane, I also have diabetes typ 1, but most of the insulins are refunded in my country (Poland), so a box of 5 ampoules costs between 1-25 USD. For me it's a supply for 1.5-2 months.
My aunt has had type-1 since she was a little girl, it's either a small fee every month, under £10, or free, I can't remember which but none of this billy bullshit.
Congratulations and THANK YOU! As a diabetic and as a mom of a diabetic, I am so thrilled that you are doing something!!! We have all been begging for sooooo long but have been brushed off. Let's pray that this will go through
Well done. Its included with our healthcare over here but even without that it never have been as scandalously expensive as it got in the u.s. I wonder how many people that greed has killed.
It took someone with true passion for this cause to fight for those without a voice. Strangely enough, sometimes, there's a reason for everything.
I want to live. "Got any money?" eh, no "Tough! I guess you die. It will cost us a few cents to make it so: No life for you" ... why
Do the same for epipens, or better yet, fight for a propper heathcare system!
@ U.S.A. health is a human right, not the corporate insurances. Your system fails your nation.
It´s funny see things like this. In my country is totally free.
The reason is many politicians have stock or own parts of the pharmaceutical companies ( Google: 38 Senators With Up to $13.4 Million in Pharmaceutical Stock Approve Drug Industry's Sweetheart Deal) and A 2020 study found that, from 1999 to 2018, the pharmaceutical industry and health product industry together spent $4.7 billion lobbying the United States federal government, an average of $233 million per year.
What bloody country is this?! How can life saving medicine be so expensive? Go broke or die?
Thank you. I hope it goes thru, it's crazy to be paying so much just to live.
I wish could upvote this a million times! This is at least a closer step to affordable and hopefully free lifesaving medicines
The prices of medicine that you need to live (ax: insulin, transplant anti-rejection, and others like that) always have a high cost like that. Other drugs (ex: Prozac, anti-depression, etc) have always been lower.
Absolutely fabulous legislation..... I dont use insulin but my best friend does.. Luckily she doesn't have to take it regularly she only had to take it on an as needed basis depending on her daily levels but she still has to ration it because of the high cost
That is a crime committed by the drug companies because they only care about shareholder profits when it should be about people being able to stay alive. The family whose company is responsible for causing the disaster that is opioid addiction and dumped all their shares so they can't be gone after personally. Special corner in hell.....
Funny that they don't get away with this crime in most other developed nations. Look at your politicians and certain sections of your population as to why they get away with this.
Load More Replies...You are a hero to so many who cannot afford medication. I hope our elected officials hear you and pass this legislation with flying colors
It should be free.... But your legislation is the next best thing!!! Thanks for working towards making this world a better place!
You are amazing. There are so many people who could never afford those ridiculous costs.
As idealistic as it would be to have free insulin, to all those who keep saying he should have introduced legislation for $0 price tag, it simply won't happen. Politics is the art of compromise (an art nearly all our politicians have lost in the US), so my guess is he knew he wouldn't get anywhere with legislation that takes the price tag off altogether. Huge companies like Eli Lilly will lobby against him regardless, but if he comes at them with a bill that still offers some form of compensation, he gives it a better chance of success. Don't get me wrong, as a T1 Diabetic myself, I'd LOVE free insulin, but I'm also realistic enough to know that it won't happen, especially not with a singular bill. I'd also love to see legislation introduced that blocks insurance companies from changing which insulin brands it will pay for based on its contracts, and making patients switch on a dime. Still, I accept that it will take a lot of time and steps to get there, and it won't happen over night.
No Matter How Hard It Is, You Have To Try To Push Through
But when it comes to news, the psychologist believes the only way to stop it from bothering us is to simply not watch it. "This has been hugely effective for many of my clients in minimizing anxiety in their day-to-day lives," she explained.
"As an alternative suggestion though, give yourself a daily time (e.g 6 pm) and limit (10 minutes) where you will catch up with the day's events. If you are prone to anxiety, steer clear of clicking on headlines that you know will be a trigger for you, and then after do something you enjoy, like go for a walk in nature or phone a friend for a catch-up and steer the conversation to something positive that happened in the day."
Another good alternative is The Happy Broadcast by Mauro Gatti, an illustration project that showcases some of the most positive news from around the world.
