We have all found our own ways to cope with the pandemic that never seems to end. But some things are universal. So to keep your spirits up and balance out all the negativity, we at Bored Panda continue our most positive series.

Below, you will find a collection of wholesome pictures that show there is good left in the world after all. We're talking Nepalese climbers removing trash from Mount Everest to firefighters saving animals; this list has everything it needs to soothe your heart. At least for a little while.

When you finish going through the pictures, there are more things you can do to make your day a little brighter. Sarah Helen King, psychologist and founder of Invigorise, told Bored Panda that practicing gratitude can do wonders for us.

"Keep a gratitude diary near you and each day just spend a few minutes thinking about one thing you are grateful for, and write it down," Sarah suggested. "Then, whenever you are having a bad day, whip it out and read it. Instant mood enhancer."

For Those Who Step Up

For Those Who Step Up

My parents split when I was in first grade. My mom met my step-dad, mark, when I was in second grade. We moved in with him by the time I was in 3rd we moved in to his house. He treated my siblings and I as his own since day 1. He even would watch Gilmore Girls with me and my sister every afternoon. After my mom died when I was 16, Mark didn’t make us go live with our biological dad. He continued raising us as his own. He started out as my mom’s boyfriend and became my dad, my best friend, my go-to for advice.

Mark ended up working 3 jobs while having heart failure, asthma, and diabetes. He did everything he could to provide for my sister and I. He passed away 6 days before I graduated college in 2016. It’s been a few years but I still have trouble on Father’s Day. He could have ditched us when our mom died and we didn’t have enough income. But he didn’t. He was there fighting to put food on the table. Happy Father’s Day for all of the fathers who fight for their children.

I live in what has been described by certain persons as a sh*thole 3rd world country, and I get my life-saving meds free from my local clinic and since the pandemic, as I am high risk and can't go out much, the very lovely ladies come and drop my chronic meds off at my door every month, and I am not charged for this service either. We do give donations though if we can to the ladies. Just something for the Americans to think about. And I am so sorry for all of the people battling financially due to the insane meds prices in the USA.

Why not introduce legislation that removes a price altogether for the public ? You pay taxes that goes towards the upkeep of roads in town and cities across the the US that you'll never use, improves areas of towns and cities that you'll never visit and pay towards a military budget with firearms you'll never use all of this done quite happily. Yet when it comes to making you feel better and curing or managing illnesses through having a healthcare where you get the right medicine or antibiotics without anyone to make a profit is a deeply divisive issue. Quite often, patients are given meds that aren't as effective as it can be, then moved onto another drug with slightly better results and so on until the correct one is given with the most effective results. This should've been done in the first place, however it seems that quite often, it's a case of profits before people.

James Talarico is a Texas State House Representative for District 52. He is a member of the Democratic party and he is fighting for the rights of the average citizen out there, not for the wealthy and powerful. Sometimes, I really don't get red-state voters when so many of them vote against their own interests just to "own the libs". They basically screw themselves over just to piss off the people that the rich and powerful republicans have brainwashed them into hating. They probably don't even know why, because most of it is just made up BS. Never mind. Sorry. Didn't mean to go off on a rant. Anyway, this person is a really good guy. That was my point.

Interesting bit of trivia...in 1994ish when my kid was diagnosed type 1 diabetic, if I needed a vial of insulin not covered by insurance, I could get it from any pharmacy in Austin Tx for about $12.75. This lovely price held for a long time then the price seemed to skyrocket around 2000 give or take. Never got a good explanation

As idealistic as it would be to have free insulin, to all those who keep saying he should have introduced legislation for $0 price tag, it simply won't happen. Politics is the art of compromise (an art nearly all our politicians have lost in the US), so my guess is he knew he wouldn't get anywhere with legislation that takes the price tag off altogether. Huge companies like Eli Lilly will lobby against him regardless, but if he comes at them with a bill that still offers some form of compensation, he gives it a better chance of success. Don't get me wrong, as a T1 Diabetic myself, I'd LOVE free insulin, but I'm also realistic enough to know that it won't happen, especially not with a singular bill. I'd also love to see legislation introduced that blocks insurance companies from changing which insulin brands it will pay for based on its contracts, and making patients switch on a dime. Still, I accept that it will take a lot of time and steps to get there, and it won't happen over night.

But when it comes to news, the psychologist believes the only way to stop it from bothering us is to simply not watch it. "This has been hugely effective for many of my clients in minimizing anxiety in their day-to-day lives," she explained.

"As an alternative suggestion though, give yourself a daily time (e.g 6 pm) and limit (10 minutes) where you will catch up with the day's events. If you are prone to anxiety, steer clear of clicking on headlines that you know will be a trigger for you, and then after do something you enjoy, like go for a walk in nature or phone a friend for a catch-up and steer the conversation to something positive that happened in the day."

Another good alternative is The Happy Broadcast by Mauro Gatti, an illustration project that showcases some of the most positive news from around the world.

I was behind in my reading and had to go to special classes. If I didn’t have that, I would have been stuck behind all my fellow students for a long time. It’s really hard not being able to read as well as others and it’s so great he’s read his first big book. It was a really important moment for me too.

USA here: Its lovely for the team to do. They should be commended for their great deed. But, on the other hand, this is a USA failure - this family could not afford to care for their child due to the lack of affordable healthcare here. This family should not have had to rely on the goodwill of high school students
