Kids don’t need “gentle parenting” - they need boundaries

I agree with this, but I would say yes, and they need gentle parenting when those boundaries are crossed. Boundaries are important, but so is respect, discussion, allowing them to have boundaries of their own, and showing them love and kindness when they f*ck up, while still maintaining the boundaries and consequences that were set out.

I'm a boomer, and the optimism and confidence I felt for the world in general back in the 70s is gone now. Know things have gone somewhat better for some people since then and definitely better for a lot of people before then, but I feel like now we're all on a downward trend.

I have been on a plane that had a little rough turbulence before landing. A rowdy stag group clapped when we had finally landed. It was a Ryanair flight. That tells you everything you need to know.

I’ve been on many flights, and the only times people have clapped is when the passengers are predominantly American. I hear you guys clap at the end of movies too.

Finns seem to clap on package holiday flights and not on normal ones. Might be about the fact that everyone is going on a holiday on the first option

Since the film crew have no idea of people clapping or not I'd see it as pointless - but that may be due to the different habits. It's just not done here 🤷 As a pilot I might actually feel mocked (no matter that people don't mean it that way). Like "It's my JOB, ffs, I've been trained to do this" Unless the conditions were rough I'd feel weird for clapping.

I'm surprised I did as well as I did. As I get older I have more understanding of people and their stupid likes and dislikes. If you don't like someone or something boot it out of your life. Regardless of what others might say. 60% of idiots doesn't make them right.
