Making your whole identity about your mental illness is weird too. I understand that being deep down in the hole that is clinical depression makes it hard to see anything beyond that, but you get perfectly functioning humans build a whole new personality and lifestyle around a diagnosis.

I have three tattoos that are all artistic and original. My pet hate is people who just get any old thing as a tattoo. I don't say it out loud, I'm just silently judging.

I'm an artist and can't get a tattoo because I know 100% that 5 seconds after I got it I would want to change it.

I want tats just cause I think it looks pretty. I've always liked having cool stuff on my skin and I was a thick net of floral designs as a sleeve when I'm older.

I really like tattoos. On others. Currently, I have some initials on a finger in the process of being removed. It hurts soooo bad. I'd have to be really really convicted about something to be inked. And i guess I'm just not.

I can't even commit to a bumper sticker on my car. There's no way I could commit to a tattoo. 😅

And every 22 year old suburban white girl and black guy from the ghetto have the same tattoos and sleeves nowadays. I find it hilarious.

I've never found people more or less cool because of any tattoos? It's a personal choice. I respect if they have any, and I respect if they don't. Shouldn't be a big thing.

If you were only getting tattoos just to look cool, then you were never going to look cool. The moment you try to be cool, you lose it.

I don't mind tattoos on other people at all (except for the one's when people get their whole face tattooed I can't help but wonder why anyone would do that). Having said that I was born in that generation where tattoos were a big no no and only sailors and the like had them. My dad would have drawn and quartered me if I chose to get any.

I've never been a fan of flash tattoos, so I designed all of mine.

It's certainly more individual not to have any! Nothing remotely alternative or edgy about tattoos anymore, although they can look great on certain people.
