The Digital Advertising and Marketing market in the U.S. is estimated at US$155.3 billion in the year 2021. The amounts of money companies and businesses put into their advertising and promotion are way beyond what we can imagine.
So it’s only fair that we expect ad creators and their clients to think of every tiny detail and be one step ahead of their audience like you and me. Well, it turns out that’s not always the case.
Thanks to this miscellaneous subreddit “(Un)fortunate Ad Placement” devoted to sharing exactly what it promises in the title, we now know that putting any ad into the wrong context at the wrong time can mess it up real bad. And bring us funny results instead!

We have a strip club named Heartbreakers here in town that has a billboard of Jesus saying he heals the broken-hearted right above their sign. It's a sight to behold!

This is in Farmington NM. I was on a cross-country drive in 2014, driving back roads to out-of-the-way places. I made a u-turn to come back and get a picture of it with my phone. Here it is on Google maps; insert these coordinates and then use street view to have a look around! (36.7239685, -108.1877931)

There's a place with a billboard that looks almost identical to this, same striped awnings above the doorways and actually has a crazy tall white cross in the parking lot on I-75 in Tennessee at the Huntsville Oneida exit. It's on the north bound side of the road. We'd pass it during travel back and forth to visit family. There's a Pilot truck stop on the other side of the interstate.

There may be numerous causes for failed advertising, whether it’s a billboard, in-app ad or a TV commercial. Think of anything from tall claims to irregular advertising, from wrong selection of media to very bad timing, seemingly little things can make it or break it in the advertising industry.
Often, however, it comes down to the businesses themselves who don’t think their marketing strategies through carefully. In some particular occasions, it’s the profit that comes before people, which always reflects in their products and services, no matter how well-executed advertising may be.

It's focused on taking their money and nothing else.”

According to Wong, if you want to have any chance of succeeding, your customers have to trust and value your brand. In that sense, there’s no such a thing as an overnight success.
In some cases, businesses and companies act like they know better than their customers. But tricking people is no longer as easy as it used to be as customers are much more aware of how brands influence their buying decisions these days.

Ad placement this is how it works: Online it's word activated, so an advert containing the word fire, etc can appear on a news item regarding a fire. Newspaper adverts are sold as specific sizes. The paper planner will tell you what sizes are available on a page once the news has been set and then the adverts matching those sizes sold are used. The placement of newspaper adverts within the basic newspaper content is purely co-incidental unless it is sold specifically for that page.. for instance a Holiday Travel company sold to sponsor a spot on a vacation news item

I saw a really bad one on tv a few years back. It was for a documentary regarding a German built/engineered concentration camp. The commercial right after it was a short Volkswagen one with the phrase “that’s the power of German engineering” not even 15 seconds after the ad for the documentary . It was a horrible coincidence
