Better than fair. The tiger ATE him. If the poacher had killed the tiger he would have taken the pelt and left the rest for scavengers.

All poachers deserve this, same as the arseholes who fuel this trade. Powdered rhino horn or tiger s*****m isn't going to make your micro d**k get bigger.

If you scroll through these facts and realize that the majority of them are well-known to you, you might have a good chance of excelling in a pub quiz. Or, even you could take it even further and try your hand at World Quizzing Championships.

The event has been going on for 20 years now, taking place in various countries all over the world. The participants that sit down to take the written quiz all do it simultaneously on the first Saturday of June. They take it in two parts, each of them lasting 1 hour.

In high end hotels which I presume the ritz-Carlton is, it’s the staffs job to go above and beyond to give guests the best possible experience, there have been many tv programs on the u.k on that subject where you see guests asking for weird, elaborate or expensive things and the staff making it happen

Fair enough payback for such a good deed. For anyone reading this who thinks that homeless people are homeless because they want to be, or they’re lazy, etc: Not everyone down on their luck is a thief or a junkie, or has mental issues. Some of them are just down on their luck. They’ve experienced way too many setbacks; their landlords turned them out of their reasonably priced apartments because the landlord got greedy and wanted to refurbish the building and units, and raise the rent sky high. Many homeless people actually hold down full time jobs, but don’t make enough for rent, down payment, security deposit, and anything else a greedy landlord wants to fleece them for. They simply need a leg up to be successful once again—-and successful doesn’t necessarily mean money. It can mean once again being a member of the rest of society, gainfully employed, living in a house and not in the streets, safe, secure, on a better path. That’s successful a thousand times over. The best kind of successful.

There was a show on years ago about idiots who treated their wild animals like house pets until the wild animal acted like a wild animal and ate them. The craziest one was a man in Harlem who kept a tiger in his apartment. Let's just say the tiger was NOT Richard Parker.

Unlike most birds which hunt by sight or hearing, this bird has nostrils at the tip of its beak. It uses these to smell and find its food. What is this bird, which known for another reason to most of us?

In 1905, a patent clerk from Bern published a number of articles that changed the world. The year 1905 was later called his ‘annus mirabilis’. Who was this man?

The best part is they don't have to limit themselves to real, extant animals. They could add extinct animals such as mammoths, smilodons, megatheria, glyptodonts, ground sloths - to say nothing of dinosaurs. Heck, they could include fantastic animals like gryphons, dragons, unicorns, heffalumps - you name it!

So much better. I had a chance to go backstage at a Ringling Brothers Circus performance back in the mid-1980s. I stayed on the verge of tears seeing the animals. It was heartbreaking. They weren’t happy. They didn’t enjoy performing for people then going back to a tiny cage. I remember every single one of the whole line of elephants was swaying side to side. Elephants do that as a form of self-soothing when they’re upset, traumatized, unhappy. It’s making me upset and teary just remembering it. I have boycotted circuses ever since. But THIS I might go see, as long as there are NO live animals at all.

I really enjoy reading your comments, Tabitha. I, too, went to a Ringling Bros circus as a child in the mid-1980s although I didn't go backstage. Knowing what goes on in that industry always makes me feel riddled with guilt for simply having been there even though I was just a child and had no choice in the matter. Your description of the elephants swaying together brought me to tears.

The state college I went to was less than 2000 per semester 12 or more semester hours. This included books that you can rent and not be forced to buy. I took 20 in one semester and still the rate is still less than 2000. So 16000 if you take 8 semesters... That would get 187 people bachelor's degrees. He better have funded 33 doctors.

Why do schools organize such specific events in the first place? There is an almost 100% chance at least one child in a class will have an AWOL or dead father. Make it Breakfast with a parent instead.

I used to housesit (more like catsit) for a friend. For the first two days, I was awakened by the two feline inhabitants, loudly meowing outside of my bedroom door. That second morning I said to them, "Guys, look. You don't need to worry about getting fed. You'll eat before I do. But I need my sleep, and that meowing every morning outside of my bedroom door isn't necessary. Okay?" The very next morning, no meowing. But there were two cats, patiently waiting to be fed.

Kids wander, and can get turned around, not recognize anything, and start trying to get back home, only to get even more lost. You never got lost at the mall or in a huge department store when you were little? Those are way smaller than the Siberian Forest, believe me. The best thing was that her dog followed her, kept her warm, and managed to get home to bring rescuers to her. If she were my daughter, the dog would live like royalty, first for faithfully keeping her alive, then for helping to bring her home.

My lost dog story isn't as great but I had a dog slip out under the fence and was missing for over a month. This was in the 90s. I put an ad in the local paper. I got calls from all over town where people spotted her, some even saying they fed her. After coming home one night thinking I would never see her, there was a scratching at my back door. I opened it and there she was. She came back through the same hole she tunneled out of. She had been all over the town and found her way back. 😆 She was a really smart dog. He name was Lady.

A businessman was having an affair with his secretary. One night, after getting jiggy with her, he fell asleep. He woke up at 9 and panicked. He told her to go rub his shoes in the grass in her yard. She didn't understand, but did it, anyway. When he got home, his wife demanded to know where he had been. Pocho! There's pictures/videos of the man and crocodile swimming together, hugging, wrestling, etc. That animal truly had no intention of ever harming him. Pocho died after many years unfortunately, but the man is currently raising/training a new friendly crocodile.

Shirley was at the zoo in my hometown before going to the sanctuary. Her caretaker from the zoo went to visit her years later and she remembered him. They actually dedicated a statue to the two of them at the zoo, meant as a surprise for her caretaker, but he passed away right before it was completed. Shirley also had an injury from the circus she was in prior to our zoo that left one leg shorter than the other, and the sanctuary built special accommodations just for her. She also passed away recently.

Makes it even sadder that any elephants are still kept in captivity without cause. Animals that cannot be reintroduced into the wild are an obvious exception.

Had you looked up the facts, rather than condemning the sanctuary where these two elephants lived, you'd know their "captivity" is at a site in Tennessee that is over 3,000 acres and that they freely roam with other elephants. Given they were both treated so badly when they were "owned" by a circus, they both required extensive medical care, which they wouldn't have gotten had they been released to the wild. Doing things your way would have killed them almost instantly. Sending them to the sanctuary gave them many more years of living. And, no, the elephants weren't on display for anyone to view. They were given their best life and allowed to just be elephants. Instead of condemning something you didn't know anything about, do some research first.

I keep trying to come up with another example besides driving and firearms but everything I can think of already has mandatory training. Cooking? Gonna need a Food Handlers Card. Heavy machinery? Gonna need a certification for that. Medicine and pharmacology? Oh, you need a whole degree for that. Meanwhile with guns, in most states all they ask is "cash or credit"?

Place looks totally different now and kinda sad. As she got older, the building superintendent basically took on the role of caretaker. She eventually died in 2008 and left the place to him. He later sold it to a businessman who was going to turn it into a quaint office but lost it to back taxes & such. It's been on the market a few times but thankfully nobody wants to knock it down since it has such history, folk status, and uniqueness attached.

Farmhouse. That house was in the country, surrounded by farmland, only 108 years before then. I can’t stop asking myself whether that is true progress, or just wanton destruction of nature in favor of concrete? Edith Macefield is a hero in my book. She may have ended up surrounded by concrete, and in the end the concrete probably won after she died, but she at least held her ground as king as she could. She’s the kind of person we should be building statues and memorials for.

Not being accurate makes this one even more unbelievable. Puzo wrote the screenplay along with Francis Ford Coppola, and possibly with contributions from others. Puzo wrote a good story, but a screenplay is a blueprint for making a movie of the story. Nobody with no idea what they're doing could produce a workable screenplay. That the opinion of a particular author is that it was the best screenplay ever is either glowing praise for Coppola's contribution or an appreciation of the story that ignores the reason a movie can't simply be made by using the original story.

I enjoyed All About Steve. Some movies are best not taken seriously and just watched for fun. Her character was annoying but in a good way and Bradley Cooper and the rest of the cast supportively funny. Blindside pretty good too despite the recent press about it.

The manufacturer, Vestergaard, teamed up with The Carter Center, former President Jimmy Carter's foundation, to eliminate Guinea Worm Disease. The LifeStraw is a big part of that effort, which focuses on education and water filtration. You can get the disease by drinking unfiltered water. Since 1986, Infections have been reduced from 3.5'million a year to 53 cases in 2019.

It's not immediate, but water can also be made safe by pasteurizing it. Sometimes that can be as simple as leaving a bottle of water out in the sun, but you need to make sure it reaches at least 149ºF

My Grandmother told me that when she was a girl ( in the 1920s ), and she had to do the laundry for her family because her mother's arthritis was so crippling she couldn't do it, her Father told her they didn't need to replace their washing machine when it broke, because she could just do it by hand, it was no big deal. A few months later, she caught scarlet fever, and her Father ended up having to do the laundry himself a couple of times, and all of a sudden they had a shiny new washing machine, for some reason...

I heard a recording from a great aunt to described what it would take to do laundry. It literally took ALL day. She had to draw the water from the well, heat it on a wood stove, wash and rinse the clothes, and hang them out to dry. She said it was a great thing when she finally got a washing machine.

I once read a really long news paper article that stated that this isn't true: in the first decade or so it apparently didn't help women's liberation at all, women would spend the same amount of time on housework, they just spent extra time on other housework tasks instead of on washing clothes. Only after society started gaining a different mindset about the role of women, did they start spending less time on housework. I have no idea which one is true by the way.

And Lilian Gilbreth, wife and partner of motion-study pioneer Frank Gilbreth, came up with the idea of installing a pump in a washing machine to drain the dirty water after the cycle. This was the 1920/30s when women weren't welcome in the world of engineering so she worked her way into the field via "women's work." She did, too.

34 being the age when most women have finally had enough, and decide they’re not going to put up with b******t anymore, especially from the men they’re involved with in various ways (SOs, relatives, bosses, coworkers, friends, passersby, you name it). Once you’ve spent more than half your life being told to smile, to lose or gain weight, that you’re too pretty or not pretty enough, that you can’t do this or that because you’re a girl, putting up with all kinds of damned scary harassment from men who think they’re entitled because you’re there passing by, even if you’re not even trying to entice them at that moment—-walking down the street minding our own business, at work when we’re just trying to do our jobs the best we can so we continue being able to pay rent and bills, at home when our SOs decide to b***h about something not being done when they can damned well do it themselves. Hell the list goes on forever. By the time a woman is in her thirties, unless she’s a princess who has lived her whole life in a protected bubble, every woman has had e-f*****g-nough of it, and will not put up with it anymore.

I've seen that play out several ways. My favorite is when a handful of truckers team up to make a barrier to stop that from happening, and when they get close to the accident the ones in the closed lane will be allowed to merge in front of the one in the open. Or when instant karma ensues and cops nab them. I've even seen cops cordon them off to wait until traffic is all clear before letting them go!

I'm trying as hard as I can to imagine this level of cooperation among US drivers. Nope, I can't picture it. We have motorists who habitually won't move over for ambulances and fire trucks.

    Tabitha
    Community Member
2 years ago (edited) Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017

When I was learning to drive (in the US), that was part of what we were taught. You always move over as much as you can to let emergency vehicle pass, as long as it’s safe to do so. An example of unsafe would be a very narrow and twisting mountain road with lots of blind curves and no turnouts to pull into. In that circumstance, you just keep driving until you get somewhere it’s safe to pull over and you immediately do that. No need to cause yet another accident trying to let emergency vehicles pass. So I cannot understand how people who also had to go through driver training could ever block an ambulance or fire truck. What if, one day in the future, the ambulance they’re in, or the fire truck coming to their burning house to rescue them and their loved ones then put the fire out, is being blocked by an a*****e just like them? How would that make them feel? They’d probably feel kind of dead if that happened. Then again, not everyone thinks things like that through, and just focus on themselves and their own needs instead, f**k everyone else. Right? Or am I just a textbook over thinker?

I once saw a car on fire on a multilane going into D.C. I passed the fire truck about 1/4 mile later with no way to get to the vehicle. The cars had even blocked the side lane used for emergencies. We need that law here in the U.S.

It's obligatory that you have to pull over when you hear a siren behind you or when the lamp is green, don't move at all when you hear and see that there's an emergency vehicle. But unfortunately there are drivers (and pedestrians) which don't do it. Once I was in a bus stop when I heard a siren. There were 2 cars in front of me and one of them pulled over. The other one drove away and both the premature ambulance and the pulled-over car honked because of that a**hole. I even saw the pulled-over driver's gestures which obviously said that "wtf are you doing, man?". Other times I was with now-my-ex bf and we heard a siren. There was a fire truck. The lamp next to the zebra just turned green and my a**hole bf wanted to cross the road because it was green for us and "the firetruck is far from us". I didn't want to go, but he grabbed my arm and forced to cross the road with him. The other people who were next to us, didn't move at all because of the firetruck.

I don't agree. It's a common occurrence for me to wake up before someone calls me. It happens at random times, so there's no way my body is anticipating it. It doesn't happen every time, but more often than I think it's a coincidence.

That is normal behavior in Germany. The whole construct of credit cards is absurd, when you can directly pay from your bank account.

I feel the same way. The only way a credit card could be useful for the customer is when you desperately need to finance something NOW that you could only afford next month otherwise. Like a new washing machine perhaps.

I don't know about being a "deadbeat", but I know my credit score (US) shows "accounts not paid as agreed". Since I'm never late (set up on monthly draft for nearly everything), I asked a banker about it. She said it was because I paid loans early, including not keeping a balance on my credit card.

It's posted because the people higher up in that company you worked for know that people who do not pay off the card every month (thereby gaining interest) make them more money in the long run. YOU, as someone lower on the rungs are told it's encouraged and welcomed, and to tell customers that. Those above you know, it's not, because they'll make less from the peons below them that choose to.

It's not, actually! One of the projected benefits of autonomous vehicles is that they will be able to travel faster and more efficiently for this exact reason. In this scenario, all the cars are linked together in a network that keeps them moving in perfect coordination with each other.

That could work if only the a*****e in front, who is basically the unofficial pace car, is actually doing the speed limit and not holding everyone else up by being a slowpoke. A MUCH better solution is to go back to the system of trains and street cars—-many of which were electric, btw—-we had before the auto industry decided it was time everybody had at least one car, if not many. Yeah, that was a campaign of infrastructure destruction run by one industry, whose greed managed to totally f**k everything up, including the entire environment, with their pollution-causing products. Oh, and then there’s the issue of the leaded gasoline cars used to run on. Anyone born before leaded gasoline was taken off the market will have traces of that lead on their lungs, simply because they breathed in and out. I’m 62, so part of that group, and it pisses me off that this was done without my consent, or even my knowledge, as I only learned about it less than ten years ago. So the Big Three automakers can all go f**k the selves, in my opinion.

When I lived in Manhattan, I'd ride my motorcycle home from work along 10th/Amsterdam Avenue (same street, the name changes when it crosses 59th St). I would turn onto 10th from West 43rd St. and not hit a red light all the way to 121st. At a steady 25 mph, I would never use my brakes either. Every night I saw taxis hit their brakes as they approached a red light, only for the light to turn green, at which point they'd speed up, which meant that they would brake for the next red light, so they were speeding up and slowing down all the way up Manhattan while I just putt-putted along at 25. These were people who drove for a living

Pure white diamonds fetch the highest prices because they are rare--a tiny percentage of the diamonds mind annually. Most diamonds are dark in color and were/are used in makimg abrasive 'sandpaper,' although the public's credulousness has made a market of sorts for jewelry made with 'champagne' and 'chocolate' diamonds--junk stones that would otherwise have gone 'straight to sandpaper.'

Blue John is even rarer. It's a form of banded fluorite. Similar minerals can be found in a few places elsewhere in the world, but the distictive, uneven blue/purple and white/yellow bands of Blue John are only found in a small part of the Peak District in Derbyshire, UK.

The idea of needing a church to approve a divorce makes my skin freaking crawl. Separate church and state. Or better yet, just do away with church.

This hasn't been done in at least a century. Back in the day as dating wasn't exactly the norm and divorce was considered a sin, people often wanted a divorce just because. It would have greatly impacted the life of the woman as she wouldn't have legally owned property and unless she was from an ultra-wealthy family, it is unlikely she would have been seen as a good party for a second marriage. So they made them share everything while they would also benefit from marriage counselling from the pastor. If however there were credible allegations of physical abuse, they were not made to enter the room.

This hasn't been done in centuries, divorce is a legal matter, it doesn't involve the church (except for priests getting divorced, I think they need some kind of church approval)

He also once explained his wearing of gold chains as a statement of freedom and progress. He said that his ancestors here in the US were kept in chains of iron, he wanted to show that their sacrifice was not in vain because his chains were now gold.

Reminds me of that parable where a religious man is caught in a flood and asks God to please save him. He turns down rescue attempts in good faith that God will come to his aid. Instead he drowns and in heaven asks God why he didn't save him God said I sent two boats and a helicopter what did you want me to do? - note: I didn't write this too well and it seems to have lost some of its impact in the translation. Sorry. Lol.

Challenge to all people of faith. Alone, put yourself in a drowning situation and pray for God to rescue you. Tell me how that works. Same for sitting in front of an empty plate and praying for food. Or to take disease away without medical intervention. Science guys. Embrace science. There is no god.

Is this the one about the guy who didn't realize other people thought he was lost? Because that guy was technically lost, he did lose the path, but he knew he could just walk back a bit and find the right path again so he wasn't scared at all. But it was already late so he decided to just sleep outside and continue the next morning. And he didn't know that if you say you'll be back at the cabin before dark but don't show up, you're considered 'missing' and people will start looking for you.

I tend to get migraines in the early morning hours (usually between 2-3 am). It never fails that I know before I wake up, that one is starting. It's kind of like dreaming, I guess, but I know that I'm not dreaming and that if I wake up, I'm going to have to deal with it, so I try to stay asleep. It's hard to explain but it's been happening since I can remember.

I was there with my wife about a month ago. It's fantastic. My wife immediately wanted to stay. I told her that she would have to get rid of most her stuff because of the relatively small living quarters. She pretended that it would be no problem for her. ;) In the beginning, the inhabitants must have been catholic, citizens of Augsburg and pray three times a day. Interesting fact: Mozart's great-grandfather was very poor and lived there. If he wouldn't have got the help back then, there would have been no Magic Flute, no Nachtmusik and no wedding for the figaro. ;)

Taken from someone on Reddit who answered this very question: About 10 years ago I was on an archeological dig in northern Israel where we uncovered two sealed earthenware jars full of pre-Hellenistic honey (about 2200 years old). My dig leader told us the same thing, and then offered us the opportunity to taste it. Only a few people dared, me being one. It tasted like honey." [[There's more to the story about how a later lab report showed the honey was used as a preservative for a particular sacrifice but can't fit it here]]

That's true of fish but that method doesn't work for sharks because it relies on calcium deposits in fish bones that sharks don't have. So for the Greenland sharks they measured the number of layers of protein in the lenses of their eyes combined with carbon dating and other things like specific types of radiation released by humans. It was a catch & release situation though I'm sure they tell stories of their alien abduction.

I got to meet him at a pop culture convention here in Melbourne Australia many years ago. He was outside having a smoke and I just happened to look over and saw him, just about died on the spot as he’s one of my favourite actors. We said hi and he asked if I’d like a handshake, but because he was in a closed off area, we did a kind of “air” handshake instead. It's like the "Doomsday Seed Vault" in Norway. It's a building almost exactly like this, but it stores seeds and is a secure back up facility for all the seeds for global crops in case of an apocalyptic event. Check it out on Wikipedia. Edit: typo

The Centennial Light is the world's longest-lasting light bulb, burning since 1901, and almost never turned off. It is located at 4550 East Avenue, Livermore, California, and maintained by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. Due to its longevity, the bulb has been noted by The Guinness Book of World Records, Ripley's Believe It or Not!

And to think, every lightbulb in the world could do the same and better, but the light bulb industry pioneered the practice of planned obsolescence, and now we just landfill them by the millions.

Complete b******t. That lamp is working at reduced power (only 5W) as night light, and every lightbulb with that much low power would work as long, possibly more as tungsten is more durable than carbon. Planned obsolescence is a fact for some companies, but light bulbs dying earlier (shorter filaments dying sooner at more power) makes them more brighter and more efficient at providing light. Believing that every lightbulb will work as long without stating other facts is naive and untrue.

Growing up in NY we had a heated driveway to melt the snow/ice. One summer a workman accidentally turned it in and the resulting $1000 bill (in the '80s) caused my gramps to cut the wires permanently.

In the middle ages, european pubs and inns had a similar perpetual stew. The pot of stew was just constanly held near boling point, so that no germs or otherwise harmful organisms could develop. Instead of making a new batch, new ingredients were added whenever necessary,. While sounding strage, it was probably safe to eat.

I doubt they kept it at near boiling throughout the night. But even so, food doesn't spoil that quickly in cold climates. There's practically no risk to leaving it out over night.

When I was a stay-at-home mom, I had a perpetual soup called "kitchen sink soup" always on the go. I would add all leftovers from the meal (and I mean ANY leftovers that were edible!) to the previous days' soup, adding onion, flavoring and noodles or rice if necessary (but kept it in the fridge overnight).

It took years of collective bargaining to reach this point. Superstar baseball players routinely had to take winter jobs at least as late as the 1950s. Roy Campanella of the Brooklyn Dodgers, probably one of the five greatest catchers who ever played, owned and operated a liquor store while he was still an active player

    AnkleByter

It shouldn't have ever reached this point. There is no reason why they should be paid so much, or receive free healthcare while not actually doing the "job". If you want a seasonal job (and the healthcare that goes with it) in just about any other industry, you need other forms of income for the off season. There's no reason why athletes shouldn't be held to the same standards as most other people. There are far better uses for all the money they are given, and definitely industries where it would be appreciated far more (because those industries are far more deserving, imo anyway).

the single largest factor in determining whether you will end up in a senior care facility is whether you have a daughter...if you do, you are more than likely not to end up in a facility; if not, then you have a 1 in 5 or higher chance....number of male children, age, race, socioeconomic status, insurance, etc. have little effect on your odds

Me! I’m often fairly broke and have to budget hard to afford my lifestyle, but I still have/can afford my own apartment by myself and take a trip (on an airplane) at least once a year. I can afford to house/feed/spoil two cats. I have full access to running clean hot/cold water, I have laundry in my house, I have internet and a TV, I can afford to heat my home in the winter, and even when I’m at my brokest, there’s always rice and frozen veggies to eat. I am significantly better off than a lot of people and often have to remind myself!

They would know. And they would force the father to remove the tombstone or face legal action. They've done it before, to a daycare that had characters painted on the walls. Disney is SUPER strict about copyright infringement.

I think lots of people might want to use Disney characters on children's tombstones because there are so many kids who are crazy about a Disney character, and Disney might be afraid that people will start associating Disney with sadness and grief. I'm not saying I agree by the way, but I think that might be their reasoning.

Never ask for permission before. Ask for forgiveness after. I would love to see the headlines if Disney sued. Besides they allow their characters to be used at schools and daycares all over the world for free advertising.

Disney has sued tons of people, and even in cases where things never escalated to the court, Disney has gone after countless people over the years (businesses, families, individuals). They will happily do so whenever they can, for whatever reason they desire, without impunity and not giving two shits who it may negatively impact. Honestly, they're a pretty s****y company overall. There have been a lot of headlines about disney suing this family, that family, this person, that person. Disney doesn't give a rat's left nut, they seem to assume they are forever untouchable.

The sky. The water was there but it existed as steam. Atmospheric pressure was crazy high during the Hadean. 27 atmospheres high. The Earth at the time was a molten rock in a giant steam cloud. Eventually things cooled off and all that steam condensed to rain. Literally the Mother of all Rain Storms.

This is due to France being the only country that still has its "colonies", although the call them oversea departments by now (strangely except New Caledonia, that remains a colony up to date). Oversea departments are Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guayana, Réunion and Mayotte. There also are the "Collectivité d’outre-mer" terretories that have part autonomy but still belong to France, like French Polynesia and Saint-Martin, and part of antarctica ("Terre Adélie").

“The term "pH" was first described by Danish biochemist Søren Peter Lauritz Sørensen in 1909. pH is an abbreviation for "power of hydrogen" where "p" is short for the German word for power, potenz and H is the element symbol for hydrogen. The H is capitalized because it is standard to capitalize element symbols. The abbreviation also works in French, with pouvoir hydrogen translating as "the power of hydrogen".”

It's an art piece. It's called Zeitpyramide (Time Pyramid). It was made to celebrate that the town existed for 1200 years. That's quite an abstract thing, that we don't really think about. So he wanted to make an art piece that makes you feel how long 1200 years really is. So this piece takes 1200 years to create, 1 block every 10 years. I love this art piece, it really makes you aware of how long 1200 year is. It's so interesting to me, because you can start this, but you have no idea whether they're still going to continu placing these blocks in a 100 years when none of us are around anymore. Will they still be doing it in 500 years? Think of how different the world will be by that time, will anyone still care about some plan from 500 years ago? How about in 1200 years? Will they still remember the concept of this pyramid? Will this place on earth even still exist? Will humans still exist or has everything died? So fascinating.
