50 TV Shows That Were Great In The Beginning And Great Until The End, As Shared In This Online Thread
A good story can transport you to another world. It can make you forget your troubles and take you on adventures that you didn't even think were possible. However, crafting a compelling narrative is no easy feat.
Take television shows for example. Even those that start off strong can gradually lose their luster, leaving fans feeling disappointed. So let's give credit where credit is due.
Recently, a person on Reddit made a post, asking everyone on the platform which TV series never had a dip in quality, and the community delivered. From long-running sitcoms to short-lived dramas, here are some of the most popular responses.
This post may include affiliate links.
Blackadder
One of the most heart wrenching moments in season 4 is Hugh Laurie's character saying "Sir, I'm scared" in the last episode. That sudden switch from excitement and bravado implying he's just been putting on a brave face all along. And the boys are carrying clubs instead of guns because they might as well be. The last episode makes me cry every time.
I think Hugh Laurie is great! I didn't know he was in this crazy show!
Load More Replies...Baldrick in a thong in the future, or Over the Top? x
Load More Replies...The first series gets a bad rap but while not reaching the peaks of the other series, it has quite a few good moments (Miriam Margolyes as the Spanish Infanta springs to mind)
One of my favorite season 1 moments is Brian Blessed thunderously saying: "The length of my rod is a mystery to all but the queen and a thousand Turkish whores."
Load More Replies...Honestly I find the first season kinda weak, the other ones are great though
No one's going to mention How It's Made?
So is Red Green...hysterically funny...not on this list
Load More Replies...I just now realized I accidentally watch this show more than anything else...
History Channel in general. Ngl I watch Ancient Aliens. Im not a tin foil hat type of guy, its more of a comfort show. Discovery, TLC and all those who no longer do the format their name suggest. MTV, VH1 included.
The Joy of Painting
RIP Bob Ross
he's like watching a warm hug, with a side of happy little trees...
I will forever be impressed by the fact that nearly every painting he made on that show used what (to me) looked like house/wall painting brushes, yet they all turned out to look like museum worthy works of art.
Fun fact: David Arquette is a certified Bob Ross painting instructor, and has given lessons to his castmates on set. Complete with curly wig. (He also happens to be a clown enthusiast.)
Don't buy Bob Ross memorabilia. No seriously, don't. Watch the Netflix documentary on Bob Ross. It's pretty sad. Nothing bad about Bob, just the Kowalski's who swindled and profit from him
Thank you! I saw the Netflix documentary and couldn't believe Bob Ross was taken by the Kowalski's.
Load More Replies...Just read that there is a movie on Bob Ross coming out this summer, starring Owen Wilson.
Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Fight me.
I cried happy tears all through his documentary, "won't you be my neighbor". his exemplary kindness reached right through the screen...
Mr. Rogers is one of the few celebrities I unreservedly look up to. So many others turn out to be horrible people in real life, no matter how nice on camera. But Mr. Rogers truly deserves our respect, and the world would be a better place if more people followed his example.
I was probably a year above the age range that Fred Rogers program reached out to. But I loved the puppetry and Mr Rogers openness to people. Tom Hanks did a wonderful job playing him!
I love him! My father was jealous because I told him, " I like Mr. Rogers better than you ..."
The Golden Girls
The Golden Girls ages really well because they gracefully tackled difficult topics that are still relevant today.
My favorite is Rose telling the story of the herring being shot out of a cannon. Dorothy and Blanche had to stifle laughs. I think the four ladies liked and respected each other.
I loved it , who would have thought that the sweet and ditzy Rose would become such a legend in her own right as herself .. <3
And by then, she'd already had a 30+ yr screen career!
Load More Replies...My favorite! I have all seven seasons on DVD and watch the show frequently.
MASH. It only got better
Final episode, where Hawkeye realizes it wasn’t a chicken nearly broke me. Loved him. Still do.
Load More Replies...i loved MASH so much, that back in the 70's, watching it new, i went into labor with my first baby, and told my husband we had to wait until the end of the episode to go to the hospital.
The airing of the final episode was a HUGE event all over US. Special viewing parties were organized all over.
That episode was both heartbreaking and bittersweet. What a phenomenal show!
Load More Replies...Loved watching this growing up, especially during snowed in winter nights! Now my son and I enjoy watching reruns together!
It says something about the a show when it ran nearly three time longer than the event it was portraying and never lost its power.
I still rewatch it from time to time, and it still makes me laugh and cry
Absolutely. Who among us ISN'T haunted by the glorious and disturbing theme song ? I've had it rattling around in my brain for a week now.
The IT Crowd
Same here - one of our all time favorites! We crack up every time we recall scenes.
Load More Replies...Season two where he is caught in the disabled toilet nearly killed me. I needed oxygen when he turns round and is cleaning the wine glasses. Great show
When they're lifting him into the bus and he's just sitting there I laugh out loud every time.

Twilight Zone the original Black and White.
I'm a Twilight Zone junkie. Rod Serling was THE most visionary TV producer I have ever known. So many of his stories came to pass. And the actors -- OMG. Everybody who was anybody back then was in one or more episodes and they were ALL spectacular. I can even lip sync some of the famous lines, like: "What makes you think this is heaven, Mr. Valentine. This IS the 'other place' ! Mwahahahahaaaaaaa!" (Sebastian Cabot)
Rod Serling understood what I call "crowd control." He could work wonders around one person, two people, three people, or a crowd. You would never watch an episode and wonder, "Okay, what's with the 10 extras?" or "What is he/she trying to say, exactly?"
Load More Replies...I have the complete series on Blu-ray, along with the original Outer Limits. Both classics.
I'll play you poker for it and put up my Corvette ... (2nd thought) ... I mean, my wife's jewelry.
Load More Replies...I’ve been wanting to watch it again for decades but it’s never on here 🥹

The Good Place. The writers knew exactly what they wanted to do it, they did it, and didn't linger any longer even though it was surely successful enough that they could've gotten more seasons if they'd wanted to milk it.
I just felt sad, I expected them to come back through those trees :(
Load More Replies...If you've ever been on the fence about this show, don't be. It's really, really good, lives up to its premise, and completely pays off. It's super funny and witty and is full of so much heart.
Firefly /sob
Any sci-fi from that era. I am a total Stargate fan. I have all the episodes of SG1, Atlantis, SGU. I can no longer watch Andromeda though. A certain star who had Herculean fame back then kinda soured it for me as of late.
Load More Replies...Fox messed up the episode sequence and it became confusing. This caused the viewing figures to drop and Fox cancelled the show. Joss Whedon got very angry at their stupidity, so he wrote firefly to destroy any and all story arcs and stopping any further development dead so that Fox would not be able to bring the show back and refused to continue it on any other channel just so the blame would rightfully fall on Fox for killing a great TV series
Futurama, but I may be biased.
I agree. The Comedy Central seasons had a different sense of humor. Less absurd and more basic slapstick.
Load More Replies...its one of these show that dont need to come back it ended just right
I know a writer on Futurama and I'd love that show even if I didn't them
Why are you biased? Do you have some connection to the show? Did you work on it?
They're making new episodes, but they can't seem to get Bender to bend himself into a new contract
Schitt’s Creek
Agreed. Excellent show. A storyline would seem familiar and then turn out in some completely unforseen, crazy way. And "The Moira's Rose's Garden" 🤦♀️😄
Yesss! It's such a chill show too. It almost gives me comfort to watch it now lol
Load More Replies...When Patrick serenaded David? Ugh, I still get chills.
Load More Replies...really? i thought it was kind of schitty (this is a joke i promise i've only watched a little and it was funny)
Ive watched maybe the first 2 episodes very funny, thinking of watching the rest. Any opinions on it so i know if the should watch the rest?
Yeah you should watch it. Genuinely funny but also quite touching to see the characters develop emotionally into (almost) functioning people.
Load More Replies...Agreed. This started off with the generic, expected jokes you would expect from a mid show like this seemed. IT GOT SO GOOD. SO GOOD. I laughed (a lot) and I cried. There's so much character development and it's just a NICE show. When they won all of the awards, I teared up with happiness.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
I actually think it started great then got better each season
I rewatch this show every couple of months, when I'm bored, but sometimes I have to skip over the episodes when Appa gets kidnapped😭
It started great. And if was great until Toph showed up. And after that it sky rocketed.
YES!!! Absolutely epic from start to finish. I just really hope the Netflix remake will do it justice
Frasier. Exactly the same level of quality from start to finish. It was never AMAZING but also never terrible.
"You have a vulnerable woman and an unstable man in a gothic mansion on a rainy night. The only thing missing is someone shouting " Heathcliff! " across the moors!"
The best Niles episode: He cuts his finger and ends up making Frasier's apartment look like a war zone
yes...i think frazier should be the standard for all sitcoms...still funny in reruns, unlike cheers or many series...classic comedy
Yes. An absolute hoot. Don't see how the reboot can top it, but willing to try. Everyone there was a star and held their own. Glad Lilith is coming back to the reboot. She's underrated and would have made an excellent captain on a Star Trek Spinoff. (Universe, are you hearing me?)
I laughed so hard watching "The Innkeepers" where Niles and Frasier buy the restaurant, I almost hurt myself. When Daphne kills the eel, I was howling. Very funny episode in a solidly funny show.
Fawlty Towers
True, but I wonder if the planned reboot will spoil that reputation
With only twelve episodes, it's easier to keep the quality consistent.
12 episodes, very much of its time. I don't think we need a reboot from a cantankerous right winger.
He wants Britain to be for the British aka white… Oh Cleese…
Load More Replies...No. John Cleese is a miserable old man and a terrible over-actor. Fawlty Towers had its moments, but most of those were thanks to Andrew Sachs, who is sadly no longer with us.
I was all indignant that you said Andrew Sachs was dead.... So I went and googled. He slipped by me in the mass extinction of our favourite people that was 2016. RIP Andrew Sachs
Load More Replies...OH my goodness. I love everyone who put up #FawltyTowers. Talk about laugh until you almost lose consciousness.
3rd Rock from the Sun.
I've been begging all the streaming sites in Sweden to get it for years and still not got it 😭💔
Most well done comic farces I've seen. When Harry thought he was getting ready to pick up a really heavy box and ends up tossing it over his head because it was empty. I'll never forget that scene!
The episode where they're celebrating Thanksgiving for the first time is hysterical. It was so fun to watch a bunch of aliens experiencing all the family drama that we experience with our families.
On this Thanksgiving weekend, let us remember how WKRP in Cincinnati maintained excellence through all four seasons. Turkeys Away!
This series was fantastic!! Everyone had great parts and interacted well with each others!
Murder She Wrote. Angela Lansbury was and is a f****n queen
Fan theory: Angela didn't solve any murders. She was, in fact, the most prolific serial killer in history, always able to find a patsy for her crimes. Who else has a murder everywhere they go?
I have been telling my wife that for years lol. She loves the show.
Load More Replies...Dis agree. Towards the end, she stopped acting in episodes and just introduced them. So an actual real drop in quality.
A great lady for sure! But, let's face it. Would you hang around if you heard Jessica Fletcher was going to be staying in your town for a few days??? Not me! Where she goes murder follows!
Kind of like when one sees Jim Cantor pulling up. Then all hell seems to break loose! ;-)
Load More Replies...Star Trek: The Next Generation greatest TV show ever made, by far, hands down. it actually got better with each season but every season is fantastic
My favorite is DS-9, but it was the most deeply emeshed in political machinations, which is a real love of mine.
The first season and the first half of season 2 were pretty dire, but at least they had the chance to find their feet and embrace their actors' strengths. I watched a bunch of episodes last night. It holds up.
In my opinion, Marina Sirtis was awful. I liked the rest of the cast, though.
Load More Replies...The best thing about ST:TNG is that it wasn't just a cheap reboot of the original series.
I loved all of them except for Discovery, which was a shame as it showed so much promise and Picard
Yes have you seen Picard I'm so excited to see their stories continue but omg last week he said "f&@:" and I gasped out loud - like omg John luc
Mythbusters, i need more
Man, Grant's passing sucker-punched me. Such a sweet guy from all accounts.
As great as it was, they went out on top. More seasons likely would have had diminishing returns.
As much as I liked Mythbusters, and agree that they started out great, the last seasons with less funding was a bit.. less than good overall.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who's watched these shows, but: The Librarians, Eureka, Warehouse 13
Eureka had a awesome series finale. And the song that plays at the end is great. (You Are my home🎶) I enjoy watching Eureka every now and then.
They were AWESOME! I loved the cross-over episodes, but the bit in Warehouse 13 where Pete and Claudia are trapped in a VR game and Leena flies away was a great moment. Pete: (After staring at Leena's VERY ample chest and flies away) How does she get off the ground with those things? Claudia: They're wings. Pete: Yeah, those probably help
I tried watching Warehouse 13, but even in the first season the mythical/cursed objects of the week became the stars of the show. "Friday the 13th, The TV series" did it first and was better in its first season.
Load More Replies...Librarians and warehouse 13 are among my favorite shows. So rewatchable.
Eureka, Warehouse 13, the early Stargate shows, Sanctuary... Golden Age SyFy.
Librarians shared a production crew with Leverage. Both were excellent start to finish
Keeping Up With The Kardashians It maintained a standard. It was always absolute horse s**t from the start and never improved
I've never watched it, mainly because I can't stand Reality Shows. I prefer fiction ;)
Horrible people making a horrible show about their horrible vacuousness. Just a long commercial about the joys of being influencers.
House MD
I'll always enjoy Hugh Laurie in his extra blue contacts but the story lines outside the medical mystery got unbearable with time.
...But the Bro-mance riding off into the sunset was perfect.
Load More Replies...When a good friend of mine was going through a slew of tests to work out why she was so ill all the time, we all (including her) joked about it being Lupus. Turned out, it was… 🫢
As a medical student we collectively will joke and always add lupus to our differential diagnosis because it’s so sneaky!
Load More Replies...Disagree - fabulous at the beginning, shark jumping at the end.
I saw Hugh Lorrie on the Graham Norton show. Didn't know that under that rough exterior beat the heart of a jazz loving Englishman!
I can't enjoy a dramatic Hugh Laurie when all I know him from is comedy
The finale of season six was one of the most well-written season finales I've ever seen of any TV show.
My name is Earl
I miss this show so much! And raising hope! Did anyone watch Sprung?
Load More Replies...I'm still so mad they cliffhanger cancelled it. Like, I can rant daily about it.
They were cancelled due to th Jay Leno having a contract that said he wouldn’t work on a show that aired after 11:30pm and they gave Conan Obrian the Tonight Show. Leno was still under contract so the gave him an earlier time slot which means they had to cut something. Plus the prison and coma stories were not the best so ratings dropped. They were headed in the right direction before it was cancelled.
Load More Replies...Agreed. That should have been over in a couple of episodes.
Load More Replies...I heard that the last season ended with Earl crossing himself off the list and kinda ‘disappearing off into the sunset’. Sadly, the last episode was cancelled before it aired. Anybody know where we could view it?
Malcolm in the Middle stayed pretty tried and true
🎵You're not the boss of me now and you're not so big🎵
Load More Replies...Any reason why the picture is of three people that, as far as I know, were not the stars of the show?
Because bored panda don't bother to research
Load More Replies...What's sad is that the kid who played Malcolm has grown up and can't remember filming some of the episodes.
he even played a serial killer on criminal minds
Load More Replies...My husband and I are rewatching this as educational show, since I'm pregnant with our third son 😅
I enjoyed it until I found out the eldest boy was a scientologist cult member 🤬
Yes, this series was great ... juvenile delinquency being idolized, but not to a point where the audience won't need their own fantasy to commit something funny ... the episode in which the family joins a church or cult (... what's the difference anyway...), I guess, would not be aired today without massive backlash because the protagonists don't show any christianism - the religious idiots, worldwide, are getting easier and easier to upset. Fox, at the very least, would not broadcast this today anymore. And, generally, it's funny.
Keeping Up Appearances, Patricia Routledge, Clive Swift. The whole cast was talented, had impeccable timing, the innuendo it’s hilarious! I still laugh when I catch an episode. It’s very relaxing.
All of the original British comedy block from back in the day. I still watch this and Are You Being Served?
PBS used to show those and other British comedies like 'As Time Goes By' and 'Red Drawf' on Saturday nights. Now I go to YouTube to see them. I guess that my British heritage comes out with my appreciation of dry humor.
Load More Replies...Mind the pedestrians! I loved this show and my kids would randomly toss that line out while I was driving.
Everything about this show. I used to fall out listening to Hyacinths (one sided) conversations with Sheridan!
My father watched it and loved how she always got knocked down a peg or two
Mindhunter
What??? I am still waiting for another season! It cannot end.
Load More Replies...Every once in a while I hear about a third season in an otherwise unremarkable dream.
I feel like i'm the only one that didn't like this show. I mean, I didn't hate it. It was just boring. I felt like it was watching water boil. I kept waiting for something to happen. Considering the what it was about, the show felt like it was leading up to something that never happens. I say the same thing about True Detective and Sharp Objects. I'm completely underwhelmed. People call it a slow burn but...it's not a slow burn if nothing ever really happens.
Psych! I would argue there was a brief dip in a late middle season but it recovered
YES! Fellow Psych-o! Here’s hoping Shawn and Gus have a cameo in the new Monk movie and then we get Psych 4!
LOVE Psych! Dule Hill is amazing and the guest stars are phenomenal, especially for a show I sometimes feel nobody else watched (William Shatner, John Cena, Carl Weathers, Malcolm McDowell, Ally Sheedy, Phylicia Rashad, Tim Curry, Martin Mull, Christopher Lloyd, an entire Twin Peaks episode with most of the original cast - and so many more!)
I was hoping to see this on the list!!! I know some people didn't like the last season, but I thought it was still fantastic. And don't forget the musical!! **jamaican inspector maaaaaan**
Oh my yes! Best "Sherlock" type of show imo. It's entertaining from start to finish and the movies don't miss the mark. The running gags were so well done, timing was absolutely perfect, it is way up there for me with Schitt's Creek and Parks & Rec (counting s01, it's a classic at this point.)
Re-watched the whole thing and then my husband was like what can we watch together? So started it over. The only episodes I can't watch again are the one they did twice, I think "Cloudy With A Chance Of Murder". For whatever reason I can't stand it.
Rewatched once? Those are rookie numbers, get popcorn, candy, and soda, sit on the most comfortable reclining chair in your house, and press start. Upgrades people, upgrades!
Load More Replies...The Bob Newhart Show
Some of his roles in movies...where he is having a convo on the phone...priceless
As you may know, that's in homage to his famous stand-up routines from the 1960s where his unseen partner would be on the end of the phone (The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, his first album, contains classic examples of the idea). Very clever at the time, Bob's brilliant.
Load More Replies...There’s only one. There was “Newhart” in the 1980s, but “The Bob Newhart Show” (1970s) was first, and better.
Load More Replies...I think Newhart was the best! Larry, Darrell and Darrell were too much!
Six Feet Under
Ugh yes. I still listen to that. Best mix of 2 songs. The whole scene of her driving down the highway to start her life while seeing what happens to everyones....so great. Although I have to say- I did not like her. I feel like I'm the only person that didn't like the daughter at all. She was sort of insufferable. The show itself was pretty great and that ending was truly the best finale ever.
Load More Replies...The singing- that was hokey. I liked the Nate’s wife murder.
Load More Replies...
Stargate SG-1. It was a show that knew what it was.
One of my favorites! Unfortunately, I began losing interest when Richard Dean Anderson left the cast and was no longer the Executive Producer. I didn't really care for the addition of Mitchell and Vala, and Daniel lost his nerdiness which had made him so appealing to me. I still watch the original repeats every day though!
Could not watch it after the demise of the Asgardians. Just... no. I loved those little guys.
sadly it was canceled in the second year of a 5 year planned story arc that would have taken it to 13 seasons, when it had it's second highest rated season and the highest rated show on its network because some exec thought the channel should go in a different direction and also refused to allow MGM to buy back the rights to sell to another network. The two follow up straight to DVD movies were good, but they had to rush up everything to close off all plotlines
A lot of people think it jumped the shark when Mitchell became the lead, but it just changed direction slightly. Mitchell and Vala were great additions to the show.
This still is my favorite show of all time. I will watch it until the end of time.
I'm soooooo glad to see this on the list. One of the best shows ever made. I loved Atlantis, and Universe, too, but the OG is the best.
I loved Jonas Quinn and still get angry when they just dumped the actor because Michael Shanks decided to play Daniel again. However Jack will always be my true love. Most handsome and sexiest man alive 😍
Phineas and Ferb I'm a little biased because it is one of my favorite comfort shows, but it maintained in my humble opinion a high level of quality throughout the entirety of it.
The episodes all followed the same formula but it never got boring.
Plus we also got to see the best villain ever. Doofenshmirtz almost stole the show for me in every episode
Load More Replies...And they're making a new season! (Source: I follow the creator on TikTok and if that's not enough for you: https://www.polygon.com/23553880/phineas-and-ferb-revival-disney)
Oh my gosh, I'm not that old but this was absolutely my favorite show as a *younger* child.😊 Basically the same thing each episode, but kids are easily entertained ;)
Load More Replies...I see a few comments saying it was the same formula for every episode. For me, that was part of the genius of the show, and I was well into adulthood when I watched it. I still sing some songs from the show. Really good stuff. **EDITED for grammar
I can't believe this show is so far down the list - I watched this show as an adult and it was still fun to watch, and the songs were mostly good as well.
gravity falls, im suprised i havnt seen this
edit: i mean that i havnt seen this in the comments of the post, not the show, i’ve seen the entire show lmao, multiple times
I was hoping I'd see this! One of my all-time favorite shows, sure some of the episodes aren't the BEST *cough* Roadside Attraction *cough* but overall a really well-written show that still has a strong fandom despite ending six years ago!
Gravity Falls is the BEST! It's so hard to find cartoons this good nowadays.
Band of Brothers
Breaking Bad
Band of Brothers is the show I am watching in my Modern World History Class
I'm glad you are watching it but WW2 is kind of the end of the stereotypical modern age (1500- 1945). Its not even Spring break yet. Isn't it a little early to be studying the end?
Load More Replies...Breaking Bad is a rare example of a story well developed from beginning to end. A lot of shows flunk towards the end or are stretched beyond credibility. BB was simply well rounded.
Band of brothers was phenomenal. Story was the key of course and the actors did justice to the roles they were given.
My grandpa was one of the vets interviewed at the beginning of episode 6 of Band of Brothers.
I agree. Breaking Bad is one of the best series for sure. Along with The Twilight Zone, and the first five seasons of The X Files. Band of Brothers is a fantastic, powerful, series, i rewatched it last year. It is a limited series though, not a years long series.
Band of Brothers was a miniseries, it didn't. have multiple seasons.
Antiques Roadshow
Loved watching it but it always reminded me that school was the next day and it was soon time to go to bed!
God yes, it's Sunday night, bath and washed hair then allowed to eat soup and cheese sandwiches in my dressing gown and let my hair dry in front of the fire and watch antique roadshow (or last of the summer wine) while dad ironed my school uniform for the next day. I can't watch it as an adult, too much flash back to that awful school tomorrow feeling.
Load More Replies...It jas gone from " found in Grandma's attic and I liked it" to "bought it at an antique store and hope you'll tell me it's worth a lot more than I paid so I can resell it" 😕
I have old episodes on the DVR and they act as a calming effect like Bob Ross after a bad day. I know what that broach is worth and I know Bob is going to add a happy tree in the corner but the undercurrent investing in the joy of the current moment pushes back all the evil and pettiness of the real world.
As a kid I had a strange crush on the Twin Brothers that did some of the appraising. (shamefaced)
I remember watching this on PBS on a 13 inch black and white screen. Bunny ears and aluminum foil for reception. Nostalgia.
You could probably take that t.v. to the show now.

Fleabag
Two absolutely perfect seasons. You will laugh, gasp, and cry and love every moment of it. No show I've watched can be so equally utterly heartbreaking and insanely funny.
I sometimes feel like the only person on Earth who didn't like this show at all.
I watched the whole think, never understood why people looooove it. It's ok-ish at best for me
Load More Replies...Well, there are only twelve episodes, though. First season was okay, second season was stellar thanks to Andrew Scott.
What we do in the shadows. Stellar from start to end. I think there is new seasons coming out. But it's fabulous. Edit : you're allowed to not like the new season, but the threats are a little over kill my friends! Thank you for my first reddit rewards and all the up votes. I love you my people!
While each season has been better than the previous one, it's not over yet. So it could overstay its welcome!
I thought it redeemed itself! You mean the season with Colin Robinson as a child? LOVED it.

Daria
Absolutely! If I'd meet a real-life Jane, I might even reconsider staying single ... nah, kidding, I wouldn't. But, yes, Daria was great ... as a side character on Beavis and Butt-Head, and, of course, on her own series. Even more so there, but that's what side characters are for - she was better on THEIR show than them on HERS, huh...?
You're standing on my neck... La la la la la la..... Quinn reminds me of my bratty cousin.
This show was AMAZING. I swear someone followed me & my sister around to create Daria & Quinn.
Person of interest. Intelligent, well paced, and never predictable. The ending was just as well written, and thought out as the pilot episode.
I rewatched this last year. It was a show my wife and I watched religiously when it was first shown
Person of interest last season was disappointing. Not bad, just disappointing.
It had a steady decline in quality from the moment the enemy AI was introduced.
Disagree. That was the natural progression of things.
Load More Replies...Parks and Recreation
The first season was pretty terrible. So many people-myself included- started and never got into it until I had a friend tell me to just skip the first season altogether. Fantastic advice! Loved it even though the last season was iffy.
Load More Replies...The last two seasons were not the same. They felt almost like a parody of the seasons before.
The Inbetweeners (UK)
Throw in Raised By Wolves and you’ve hit the trifecta!!!
Load More Replies...Sopranos
It was. And had some amazingly hilarious dialogue. Gets better every rewatch.
Load More Replies...I still have never seen an episode! Looking for something new to watch - thanks for the reminder.
Freaks and Geeks. Hard to decline when you only have 1 season.
Justified
Started so incredibly strong, never had a dip in quality, ended before it could become tedious. Still, looking forward to the new season!
Season 1-4, yes! Season 5 & 6 petered out. It will stay in mind because of the most interesting villain ever.
I've just started watching, in season 2 now. But the fact that he helped solve the whole stolen money thing for Winona, and how that screwed with the sweet relationship he had with his chief, made it lose the feel-good vibe for me. So serious question for long-time watchers: does that get better again? Or does it get darker/less feel-good?
They regain the good relationship... Though I'm watching season 5 right now and something else happened that soured their relationship and I don't know how that turns out.
Load More Replies...If I could push the up arrow 100 times to get this to the top I would. Timothy Olyphant as Raylen Givens was outstanding and the supporting cast , especially Walton Goggins , were excellent.
I'm watching this at the moment - it's not anything like I expected, but pretty good: The main cast is good, the jokes land and the action to pathos ratio is good.
Being a cheapskate, I only watched the seasons that were free...I loved that show.
Deadwood
The Americans only improved with age. An absolutely fantastic series.
This is one of the best shows ever made in my opinion and the ending was almost perfect.
This was a testament to how good the actors were. They really killed it.
Fantastic show - and amazing chemistry with the whole cast. Keri Russel is so lovely (and, no disrespect, I covet her magnificent @ss), bless!
This Old House
Bob Vila is a hack, the 34 seasons without him are much better.
Load More Replies...If you have Samsung TV Plus, there is a dedicated This Old House channel that plays 24/7
Yes but they need more seasons in the rotation.
Load More Replies...The Clone Wars
This show added soo much dimension to the characters and gave Anakin his "redemption" in terms of his choices. Also...Ahsoka's story too, so win-win. My favorite Star Wars stuff are almost all from Clone Wars.
This show made the clones the best characters in star wars
I’m glad to see this. Honestly I didn’t know if it counted because they ended up canceling the last few seasons when the show was originally being produced. At least eventually a final season was created anyway a couple years ago so the show still did have a proper conclusion after all.
Mr. Robot
I have only watched a few episodes so far, but my god it's good. Rami Malik is such an incredible actor. He sells every role he works. Him and Tom Hardy are my favourite actors right now.
The show is fantastic but it goes off the rails a little in the middle. The first season is great and Rami does such a good job. I don't want to spoil you but keep watching as it gets even better. But it gets a little bit silly with Angela at one point. I think they just didn't really know what to do with her character after the first season. Even at it's worst, though, it was still better than so many other shows out there.

I doubt that somebody would even think about love action one :D

YES!!! Sometimes when I can't sleep I lie on the couch, put on FF and let Peter Thomas' dulcet tones talk me to sleep. (It also works with The UnXplained and History's Greatest Mysteries.)
He does have a soothing voice, and the show is great.

I felt there was a decline, especially when I rewatched it at the start of the year
Flight of the Conchords.
King of the Hill.
Remember that time Hank accidentally bought crack for fishing? Or that time he accidentally became a pimp? Classic.
I'll see you those and raise you the episode when Bobby was practicing his kissing technique on a mannequin head. "Most states won't let you marry a plastic head" had me dying.

The expanse. Every season kept delivering the best sci-fi I have ever seen.
Totally agree. I wish we had more. I could watch Avasarala, the crew of the Rocinante, Bobbie Draper and Drummer all the live-long day.
The last season was forced and rushed, but it still came to a satisfying conclusion!
Yes, so much yes to this. I was scrolling down to see if I had to step up and add it to the comments after, but thank you for adding it here. Absolutly loved how it started a bit small with a detective and a missing person case, then gradually growing to something litteraly changing the fate of humanity. The Expanse is to sci-fi what Game of Thrones was to fantasy for me. And how can you not love Amos and Drummer!?
Raising Hope
chloris leachman and martha plimpton...what could go wrong...if you've a fan, treat yourself to Sprung
Bluey
Yes, I know it’s for kids but this is the best show ever. My grandmother even watches it
No you're right, it's a funny show even for adults
Load More Replies...Don't know if you have it in your country (France here) but Zig and Sharko is class. Also shout out to Shaun the sheep
Zig and Sharko had a dub here in India which made the show better. Same thing for Oggy and the Cocroaches

on of the finest dramas ever...ever...and i will fight anyone who says otherwise
Weak as it was, I have a soft spot for the final season, having worked at a newspaper during the end times.
The other show alongside BB that was well drafted from beginning to end. Every season was a facet. Brilliant.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Sure an episode or two in a season might not be as hysterical as the others but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every season as a whole
Daredevil only had one dip in quality and it was due to having to drum up interest in another show's storyline. Even then, it wasn't godawful, just not as interesting. Otherwise, perfect show from S1E1 to S3E13.
Great show. I think my favourite part in that entire thing was when Matt pretended to be Foggy and had to pretend he could see.
Seinfeld
As a Seinfeld fanatic, I disagree. I have all the DVDs and have watched Seasons 3 to 7 over and over, but Seasons 8 and 9 just got progressively too silly
Bojack Horseman
At least Netflix let them wrap it all up nicely (although I thought the last episode was a bit rushed)
My lovely horse, running through the fiiiieeelds 😆
