It's no secret that our society has its flaws - dependence on technology, taxes, obesity, devaluation of workers - to name a few. Some people may not even want to think about any of these problems in society but illustrator John Holcroft, on the other hand, he looks them straight in the eye and depicts them in a satirical way.

Though not all of us have to deal with such problems, it is a great reminder to pace yourself and to familiarize with the society today. Who knows, it might make you a better person in some way.

With a style based on 50's advertisements and a vintage feel - Holcroft perfectly captures today's social issues and modern behavior. Also, his illustrations do so in a brutally honest manner. Keep on scrolling to check them out, and you just might realize with what social media problems you have to deal every day.

I don't put on masks for a reason ... Having a fake face will only fetch me fake friends ... But I do understand that some people have to put it , it's not a choice for everyone ...

Having depression, we are great actors we are always trying to make people laugh. Because the opposite is just too hard.

this one is really deep as you can see those are girl faces or at least based on gender stereotypes they are, all the other faces are frowning while that one looks like a forced smile, this could mean a lot of things from trying to cope with clinical depression through smiling, or putting on a smile to get more friends. It's all in how you look at it

I think this one represents paying rent, we all know that is a huge waste of money. Paying a mortgage on a home is an investment, when you sell you get your money back and more...this picture is shredding money, meaning it's not coming back to you in a usable fashion.
