40 Twitter Users Share Pics Screaming ‘I’ve Been In Quarantine For Way Too Long’
As we have passed the one-year mark of the pandemic, people online decided to look through the year they have left behind and what the hell they have been actually up to. Over the course of the notorious 2020, we more or less spent our time in the shelter of our homes. If you aren’t a key worker and depending on which country you live in, then it’s most likely you have spent quite some time in quarantine with stricter or lighter rules and regulations. And as what we were used to as ‘normal’ all of a sudden vanished or turned into not-normal, or got blown out of proportion, we all of a sudden had to think of how to get entertainment for us and our households and more or less stay sane.
The popular American actress Brie Larson addressed the internet community on her account @brielarson, asking people to say they’ve been in quarantine for a year without actually saying they’ve been in quarantine for a year. And if you haven’t baked something, put together a puzzle, or purchased tons of gym equipment, have you really experienced quarantine? Let us know what you've been up to and if you can relate to some of these posts in the comment section.

@brielarson's post, with 34.1K likes and counting, received so much attention not without reason. Being taken away from our daily routines, hobbies, and pastimes and suddenly finding ourselves in loungewear for more than 7 hours a day, 7 days a week trying to help our children make the Zoom classroom work suddenly became the norm. Perhaps you fell into purchasing collectible cartoon figures or gym equipment online, to mourn over shut gyms and your fantasy club meetings.

Growing out beards has also been great evidence of spending a year mostly at home, as well as stacks of series of books that have been devoured during the year the earth stood still. You had a few walls that needed painting? That’s probably done now, as well as completing 2-3 hand-knitted items and re-arranging everything in the living room that needed re-arrranging.

Statistically, they're likely to be black, dark brown or navy blue.
And if you haven’t engaged in baking, perhaps someone that you know did, that one friend that we all have that baked sourdoughs for everyone and posted at least one scrumptious vegan salad photo every two days, since restaurant meals have been replaced with wonders created in the comfort of personal kitchens. Maybe you have turned your living room into a music studio, recorded two or three decent-sounding tracks, and uploaded them on SoundCloud. And if not that, then maybe at least you bought some new instrument and learned how to somehow scratch your favorite tune. And at the end of the day, if you have done none of those things, well, that also could be serious evidence of spending a whole year in quarantine.

And it actually turned out looking like a frog not a weird something or other.. they are great and with a bit of fine tuning would sell well at various venues reopened in the future as will happen.

Ah but did you sort them by voltage as well? Some of those "used up" batteries probably have enough power left for a clock, or the tv remote.

The other day I was shaving my legs and I just forgot if I used to razor from top to bottom or other way around. Combination of long winter, no boyfriend and pandemic.

Discovered my cable subscription has HBO Max. Binged watched the Flight Attendant one day during the lock down. Not been able attend live shows. When Metallica had classic shows in You Tube on Momdays, watched them.

I've gone through 50 pounds of flour. I bake and cook a lot and usually go through 20 pounds a year. Now that I'm sick of baking I've taken up inappropriate cross stitching

I have been at work in the building industry, which has boomed through the entire pandemic, working overtime every day in heels, in a non mask wearing office. I am SO deeply envious of the people that have been quarantined at home this whole time. I'm a painter, crafter, reader, writer, gardener, and no time to do pretty much anything.

Working from home many days of the week. My canine assistants are in the bed in my home office, which I called the big pink. The walls are pink, and are full of music posters. Call it Music from the Big Pink.

I have played over 1,200 rounds of board games on BGA since 4/13/20 (board game arena) I have read at least 1 book a month (love to read rarely found the time before) I have completed at least a dozen 500-1000 pc puzzles. I redecorated my apartment. I learned to cross-stitch. And now I'm learning to paint with watercolor.

Taught myself to crochet. Then taught myself to make French pastries like eclairs. Have done the Marie Kondo routine ("does it give me joy"?) and repurposed/revamped/repainted three rooms. And every day, everything I was doing anyway. If I stay busy enough, maybe the stress can't catch me!

Literally started what was going to be an epic, beautiful bullet journal one week before quarantine started. You can't have a daily/weekly/monthly/yearly page(s) without any activities to put in them. It's embarrassing to write that Monday you scheduled waking up at noon, trying to cook, then several hours of Netflix. It's just so f*****g pathetic-smdh. Legit was pretty sad for 3 weeks when I realized I wouldn't get to use it last year.

jknbt whine, part 2.... now I have got the homeowner's association HOA after me to clean out the flower beds. They do need the attention after the Feb freeze, but what has a guy gotta do to get a break around here? I called my gardener/lawn mow service, but they never got back with me. I just opened a certified mail letter from the obnoxious HOA board threatening legal action marked "last notice/final notice".... The good news & happy ending is that I have mostly recovered and spent the weekend fixing up the yard. Yes, it needed attention. What a year!!! Hoo-boy!!!

Last year had tickets to 2 concerts with my son. Both were cancelled. Hopefull live music events will happen this year.

in Texas where I live, the quarantine has been rather minimal & unenforced... guess what? we have the lowest new infection rate and death rate of all the states in the US... the math doesn't tally out, huh? My quarantine involved me being a long-haul covid experiencer... yep, got three, count 'em, THREE episodes of the virus... I know because the fever broke with cold sweats three times. One fever break was so bad I had to get in bed with a heating pad on my belly, & still was cold, cold, cold. Then I had the long-haul fatigue. I had the complication of walking pneumonia. Mr doctor got rid of that with antibiotics. Then the Feb 4th freeze hit. All my tropical & subtropical plants died. It cost $400 to get a plumber out to fix the damage which was four bad breaks. (what did I do, God? I repent!!!).... I had to wait a MONTH to get a plumber in the house. I was showering at the gym, washing clothes at the washateria, and water from my neighbor who got his pipes fixed,
