If you’re extremely proud of an accomplishment, by all means, post about it on social media and inform your friends so they can celebrate you. But there is a time and a place for bragging, and if you feel the impulse to boast about how rarely you change your child’s diaper, you might want to think long and hard before sharing that information.

Redditors have recently been calling out the most ridiculous and obnoxious things people brag about, so we’ve gathered some of their thoughts below. We’ll warn you right now that you might find this list infuriating, so good luck scrolling through and be sure to upvote the things that really aren’t the flexes people think they are!

Being willfully unvaccinated because they “do their own research” and “don’t follow the sheep.” Yeah, congrats for being gullible and easily manipulated by online b******t.

Right?! My anti-vac ex-friend was like “why do you think all those ‘scientific papers’ are even telling you the truth? How do you know they’re not lying? You’re all just obedient sheep.” I was like “why do you think all these angry, admittedly-uneducated, admittedly-paranoid, unscientific anti-vaccine keyboard warriors who have no idea how vaccines even work are telling you the truth? They’ve already admitted that they don’t understand what a vaccine is or how it works. How exactly do you know it’s some big crazy worldwide government conspiracy, besides the fact that your crazy Aunt or someone on Facebook just randomly told you so and you believed them? How do you know they’re not lying to you (we have lots of proof of them lying and admitting to it)? You’re all just obedient sheep.” Shut her up pretty fast haha.

People who are into 'alternative thinking' like alternative medicine and anti-vaxx, often think they are more critical than the rest of society, but a lot of them aren't. They just make a different choice in which sources to blindly believe. If you're instantly suspicious of anything regular science says and automatically tend to believe any criticism of regular medicine, you're not being critical at all, you are doing the same uncritical thinking as you think 'sheeple' do, the only difference is which people you are blindly following.

I didn't "blindly" choose to follow the recommendations of doctors and scientists from all over the world. Their titles and the letters that follow their names indicate to me that they are FAR more trustworthy than some jaggoff that barely made it out of high school who "did their own research". Doctors and scientists aren't always right, but their success rate is infinitely higher than random idiots on social media.

I don't mean to hate on anyone except for the people that use this as an actual response to anything. As I know, most of these people that say this "don't follow the sheep" are religious. I am an atheist, but my family is religious and I know some stuff about christianity. And knowing so, isn't the whole thing about christianity that jesus is kind of a sheperd for the people or smth? I don't remeber much, but I 've been wondering for a while why these people say this

I think that people should be able to not vaccinate if they don't want to, ... However in times like with Covid and not having immunizations for new illnesses.. these people need to stay home and away from society unless they are willing to wear n95 masks in public.

35 People Call Out The Stupidest Things They’ve Ever Heard People Brag About Never having read a book / not having read a book since they left school.

That's just **not** an achievement - at all. It's not hard to do - and there is no good in not doing it. I wouldn't say people who read are necessarily more educated, but apart from the chance to educate you it is simply another hobby. I've never seen anyone brag "Oh I haven't visited a theater since school" or "I haven't done archery since we had it in school!". It's just nothing to brag about.

I've never force-fed my ideology, but someone always has to criticize my choices and brag about being a class A carnivore. Just thank you Jeff for telling me how you love steak and hate salad eaters.
