This particular example *might* be satire. I'm saying this based on the Twitter handle (@Spacehehehe). If it is satire, it failed because it's too close to reality. There are people who seem to sincerely believe the earth is flat and it's easy to imagine this post being a serious post from one of those people.

Real serious. I once had a flat earther send me various "no curve" images like that as "proof". Absolutely no concept of scale.

Well actually ......... Australian Scientists (along with Scientists in the UK, USA, France Germany and China) have been working on a vaccine for SARS-COVID since the first outbreak in 2002-2004. The Aussie Scientists work for the Government organisation which was Commonwealth Serum Laboratories under another Govt Agency. They all collaborated their work after the 2019 outbreak and assisted in bringing about a vaccine which is why it happened so soon. I have no doubt the others were also government funded.

I can't tell if Amanda is joking. The poorest states are all republican states. The wealthiest, except Texas (which benefits from oil and gas production) are all democratic states. Just look at the 10 wealthiest vs 10 poorest states.

Ive been to downtown Detroit and it was actually really modern and cool but other than that most of the city is just abandoned mansions and houses.

i lived in the US for over 20 years. i was confused an shook at jst how much of that country looked and felt like i was in a 3rd world country. just the level of poverty and struggles that i saw, it was sooo surreal and sad y'all.... :(

I was stationed in West Berlin in the 1980s. We used to go over to the Communist side. Wow, some great restoration & modern rebuilds. It looked great. Cut down an alley or side street & you find that the building is still destroyed from WW-II. It was all just a facade on the main boulevard. Then again before I went to Berlin I accidentally ended up in northeast DC in the middle of the night. That looked worse.

Shoulve stopped and bought a house for 5k or less.

I agree! The loudest critics of Detroit are typically people that have never even been. Most people are surprised at all the city has to offer. I'm born and raised in Detroit and everytime I go back I'm very impressed.
