As the years pass, the way we think about the world changes. Our information processing capacity slows down and we become less open to new experiences.

This is not to say that there are no open-minded seniors, rather, as we age, we turn to data that we have collected to make our opinions and decisions, which can be quite different from what we had thought about the same stuff 20, 10, or even 5 years ago.

And there's a discussion on Reddit that vividly illustrates this. Created by user Istrx13, it asked everyone, "What are you starting to like less and less the older you get?" Below you will find some of the most-upvoted answers.

Not gonna lie, this is just wrong. And I'll say it, it is your absolute duty to vote; to care. Wanna know WHY we're so divided? Because of people who think " ohhhh my God, I just can't, I don't vote, it's all so negative, my vote doesn't count anyways, what's politics? ohhhh my God, nooo🙄🙄🙄", and even worse, think that way of thinking is somehow "cool" or justified. You should WANT your country back. You should WANT to care about basic dignity and human rights. You should CARE about the f****n disease that damn near brought this great nation to it's KNEES Jan 6, 2021. FFS... What is the matter with you? I'm just glad there are those of us who actually DO care about your rights. We care. We vote. And it matters.

Politics just means the hunger for power plus greed these days. As we have seen to our detriment. The only ones who can afford to do it are the rich, so of course they keep the rules that maintain their control and situation. The hell with the working poor.

The greatest fear of "The Powers that be" is us realizing who the real enemy is. This type of statement always makes me remember the occupy movement, and how it was more class based than political, and then how rapidly it was broken down, forgotten by all sides of mainstream media, and we were all factioned off... Kinda weird...

It doesn’t seem like that. It is that. Media won’t let us compromise and get along. Our politicians are just putting on a show to pretend they’re getting stuff done, when the reality is they don’t have time to work for us and because they have to placate lobbyists and donors to keep their career. (Obviously talking about the US)

It ABSOLUTELY is a psyop. And they'll polarize ANYTHING. If I wanted to make people who were (rightfully) afraid of coronavirus hate-filled at their countryment, and those who were skeptical of the government absolutely convinced the coronavirus response was a fraud to take away our freedoms, I would do EVERY LAST THING that was done.

Oh look they are in charge again...yep, same bs claims as last time. 50+ years of this bait n switch approximately every two years...Now they have taken to they far extremes as if this is any better.

30 People Share Things That Just Aren't As Fun As They Used To Be Chasing a career.

We whip ourselves into a fury chasing this thing. Our entire society is built around the assumption that everyone wants one. That it's a way to be happy.

It's not.

It's a waste of a great gift we've been given.

You enrich others. Always. If you're lucky you'll get some cream off the top. But most people won't.

They'll just pump hours of their life into the comfort of other people who had the fortune to be born into the right class of people.

You'll chase it and chase it and feel like you're getting somewhere but at the end of the day, it won't matter. The only things that will matter are the things you couldn't do because you were playing by someone else's rules for a happy life.

F**k. That. S**t.

Soda and other soft or carbonated drinks. They’re so sugary and awful it’s like I can imagine my teeth dissolving and my insides corroding just from drinking a bit of it. I love in the summer, when I finish work, take the dog for a walk at the dunes, down to the beach about eight in the evening, walk in the surf or have a swim, dry off and sit on a high stool at the beach shack and enjoy an ice cold beer with my earbuds listing to jazz or blues. some days there's a band playing so I have another beer, or maybe two more.....
