Sketch Vs. Final: Artists Show The Huge Difference Between Their Sketches And Finished Artwork (30 Pics)
A recent trend on Twitter got artists all hyped up to share their artwork. The challenge 'Sketch vs. Final' asks the artists to share what their artwork looks like when it's first sketched out and when it's all finished and rendered.
The difference between the two is quite shocking and you start appreciating the work artists do even more. Some of the sketches look like a mess, and you can't even tell what they are—however, after some hard work, they end up looking beautiful and breathtaking.

I've always envied talent like this. The smoke being blown by the wind is just perfect!
Artists have proven over and over again that they have amazing skills we mortals can only dream of. This thread takes it to another level by showing us something so simple and sketchy coming to life as amazingly detailed illustrations, drawings, or digital art. No matter what the medium is, it requires lots of time, practice, and work to get this good. So it's great that users on Twitter are sharing their skills; perhaps they will inspire some that are just starting out.

It's really cool to see the different ways each artist sketches out their ideas. Some of them are super detailed and others are really vague.

They only got that good by drawing "poorly" hundreds or maybe thousands of times, honing their skill and their vision. Some took at classes (blocky hands] but all devoted many hours to drawing prints no one else has seen

14, 17, 30 is not sketch, left draw is a final draw for the colorist. left draw is a artist work, right draw colorist work

If I only had a tiny pinky-nail's worth of these artists' skills!!! Very interesting to see that the thought process behind a visual piece is akin to writer's plans and "rough drafts"... fascinating. (I also have an immense respect for composers of music- they see the world so much differently than the way I do)

As others have noted, I really liked this because it showed how different the sketches could be for every artist. I remember getting drawing books and such and they always made you start by learning how to draw a circle and seeing it still used for some people was really neat. I think people who are learning or practicing art/drawing/etc would really get a kick out of these.
