If you make a good meme and send it to your friend, the two of you will have a little laugh and move on with your chat.
But if it's a great one, chances are they will spread it even further, and your creation will spill out into the vast ocean of the internet, where people will share it until, eventually, it'll end up on some sort of "archive" where it will be cemented into online history.
One such place is the subreddit 'Me IRL.' This place has been interested in only the best, most relatable memes; the kind that can be described as "selfies of the soul," and has compiled quite the collection since its inception all the way back in October 2012.
Just make sure you free up some space on your device before you continue scrolling. I bet you will be saving quite a few of these!

Wishing the best for you, American folks. Much love from Finland, where college, universities, schools and high schools are free.
Haha! Like he is going to give you a single present without charging you for it!
Venn diagrams which don't make any sense make me so aggressive 😅
There's a high elevation meadow in Kane County, Utah that looks like that in early August.
And give up my ten gallon hat for a 37.85412 liter hat? Never!
Yes exactly. I can't stand this "stop generalizing" and "good people on both sides" BS. First of all, we need more than two "sides". More importantly, if you truly believe that you are a good person, why are you voting for the side that actively promotes the eradication of legal protections for women, POC, the LGBTQ community, veterans, the environment, and whose leadership has remained largely silent in response to their only named 2024 presidential candidate calling for the mutilation of our Constitution? I would love to hear a very good, thoughtful, well researched and articulate answer to all of this. I can wait.
Load More Replies...I always find it weird that the "red" party is the right-wing one, because everywhere else "red" is the left-wing/socialist/communist color.
Same here. I'm surprised that the Republicans have been okay with that since they were sure against the "Reds" and "Pinkos" back in the day. I guess they aren't many options though. It's red, white or blue and the Republicans already get accused of being the white party they wouldn't want to make it official. :-D
Load More Replies...Many years ago, the British comedian David Frost explained "America has two political parties. The Republicans, who are like our Conservative Party, and the Democrats, who are like our Conservative Party."
There's got to be a equivalent of how Americans see European elections ... except we don't even think about international elections ...
No wonder. Most of y’all think “Europe” is a country that “makes that cheese, right?”
Load More Replies...the bottom photo should be flipped L-to-R. Republicans would rather burn the whole world down than accept that people in LGBTQIA+ communities are human beings too.
Overstate much? Yes, you are correct. Every. Single. Republican. Yes, every single Republican that was, is and is to come is anti LGBTQIA+. And of course every single Democrat is pro LGBTQIA+. Yep. Seriously, can we stop over-generalizing already?
Load More Replies...I see USA elections as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee (see Tenniel's illustrations of Alice Through the Looking Glass)
So how do "We The People" fix our government. I have some ideas but implementation isn't easy. Does anyone have access to the Hopper.
Funny, I and I'm sure most Americans never had the question of what Europe thinks about our elections even cross our minds. But thanks. I guess.
The main way this European sees American elections is absolutely continuous. They campaign for literal years, vote for months on end, someone wins and then the campaign seems to go again for the next one.
So Europeans see US elections as the democrat party vs the democrat party?
What is c**p censored 😆 unless I’m missing something and it’s another word
If you don't listen to Metallica back to back with arcana grande you're boring
Where the hell does this statistic come from? What source, anyone know?
I don't think I'm mature as much as I don't have people I can celebrate with that day and want my brain to not think it is unloved.
I really, really liked how the boldest, reddest and most underlined line in the whole question is literally the breaking up part. Oh, and the rainy day. Don't forget it was raining that day. Almost surprised that there wasn't extra points for ideas on how the boy can win the girl back.
Slow walker here. Some of us has athsma and disabilities. Not me, I'm just unfit af but still...what's the hurry?
“You’re such an ungrateful freeloader! I worked HARD to give you an easier life, and you waste it by living such an easy life!”
That dude, or dudette, that you got directions from was probably their soulmate 😂
I have always believed that there is a course in 'Doctor School' called "Lousy Handwriting", and that there is also a course in 'Pharmacy School' called "How To Decipher Lousy Handwriting".
Indeed. I don't remember the name of the game now, but at one point with a strict time limit, I didn't even dare to blink my eyes or breathe, so I almost passed out with tears flowing. Good times.
For this to be realistic the boat also needs to be on fire, sinking and someone has a sword sticking out their chest
I have a Lenovo laptop which runs Linux, and the Zoom client doesn't support virtual backgrounds, but the camera has a little flap which slides over it for peace of mind. And a Macbook which is the other way round so I don't need to sit awkwardly in the "private" corner of my room, but don't trust the camera...
Yea.. the cat lawyer was funnyer lol, "its me your honor, Im a real person not a cat " ...
...and the image is so tiny and of such low resolution that you can't see anything anyway, so you just guess...
Why does trump look like toad? Never mind let me take that back, that's hurtful to the toads
For me, there’s yet another layer of this for currently 40-year-old me… XD
If you have already stuck his glasses, he won't really see anything else! Probably stating the obvious, but I wear glasses and I totally feel it!
Visited my boomer parents a couple of months back, and they were flexing about how much pension/tax/breaks/free-cars-because-disabilty then on the wireless there was some report about a single-mother-who-can't-afford-to-run-her-laptop-for-college-course and they were all like "laptop! oooh entitled, in our day we were lucky our pencils didn't freeze, oh BTW this winter we're going on the second cruise of the year, and f**k the carbon emissions involved". Or words to that effetc.
Took me a while to figure this one out, I had to check Reddit - "the girl sent a screenshot of the guy asking her out and said it was her worst fear coming true, not realizing she was still talking to the guy she is complaining about , not the person she thought she was complaining to."
"Sadly"????? Isn't that a bit melodramatic in a world with millions upon millions of memes, and constantly being created by the hour??

Hey Joe, have you noticed that most often on BP, when a country is poked fun at, the members from that nation usually find it funny - adding comments to escalate it even. There are a few Americans however who bite when the US is the target and try to disagree with the joke. I think this is why it can seem like America is being hated on. If I see a joke against my country I think is unfair, I would skip past it and not read the comments. I find most regulars here - American and otherwise - are nice.
