There are special bras to wear under those types of clothing, with different straps, lower back etc.. though they aren't always very comfy, especially when you have bigger boobs.

I have Wonderbra ultimate strapless. It's really good bra. I have bigger breasts and still it's stays up perfectly. It's also quite comfy when I'm wearing it. But when I take it off after few hours of wearing it feels like I have a broken ribs. :D

Clothing should use metric sizes, like ammo.

Because of this it is a good idea to let the salesperson to measure you even though it would feel embrassing. They usually can help you to find the right size because the bra sizes can be dirrefent in all shops.

I’m a plus size person and I find it really hard to find a C cup, like manufacturers think all plus size people wear DDs. I actually had a clerk tell me to get a smaller size in the DD. She obviously didn’t know anything about bras.

There's one store where I usually go to buy a new bra and I just ask the saleswoman to help me out. I gave up on looking for a bra myself :P (Might be a bit wierd at first but eh... And to be honest, that shop even has a ask-for-help button in each dressing room so...)

This is so true! I don't fit in mass market, chain store, cheap options; they just don't make my size. I have to go to boutique stores where I can't find anything under $90! On the plus side, they do last a long time.
