There’s probably not a day when some of us don’t scroll through some comics on social media. No matter where you look, they seem to be everywhere, scattered all over social media for people to consume to their liking. Random and seemingly out-of-context comics seem to be the best kind, though, and today we would like to show you the illustrations of "Blue Boi," the creator of Katalyst comics.
Bored Panda reached out to Kyle (the author of the comics) to find out a little bit more about him and his work.
“I started making comics in April 2020 during the first wave of coronavirus lockdowns. I was in a bad place in my life and I started making comics as a way to pass time and relieve stress, and I haven’t stopped making them since then!”

We also asked Kyle to tell us a little bit more about what inspired him to make the comics in the first place as he seems to be very eager to share them with his audience.
"Well, all I can say is that...for many years I loved making jokes. Making other people laugh is like my life’s purpose and I want to keep it that way. Drawing comics is like spreading joy with funny illustrations! (If that makes sense?)
One can enjoy creating something but feedback is also a very valuable part of the process, especially for the artists who share their work with the rest of the world using the power of social media. We couldn't help but ask the artist about what kind of feedback he receives overall when it comes to his works, "Your comments are the best way for me to see what you think. My favorite comments are those that reference the comic in some way, and it tells me a lot about what makes you like the comic, to begin with. But if not, your Likes are still very welcomed of course!" He told Bored Panda.
Very sweet. We do find it odd to care for others. It shouldn't be odd to be a decent human being.
Digital art and art, in general, is not easy and requires a lot of patience, time, resources, and in most cases, even money. Therefore, we wanted to know how the amazing artist might've learned to draw.
"I appreciate being called amazing! I had never taken any serious courses in art, and sometimes I feel like I'm lacking in some skills. But that doesn’t stop me from having fun and making comics, since I think my jokes are pretty comical! (Get it?)"
Starting out with art, or even a more niche part of it such as comics might be difficult for someone who has yet to grasp how the community around them works. We asked Kyle if he had any advice for someone who might be looking into doing comics as well.
"I feel like I started my comic account pretty late compared to others, but what allowed me to grow is long-term consistency and branching out to different platforms. Try experimenting communities, as you might find your true audience where you least expect it!"
If a cat is showing you it's belly it means that it trusts you. It does NOT mean that you should touch it. Like you won't hide your valuables if a trustworthy friend is in the house (and maybe even show them) you would still expect them not to touch them.
Load More Replies...They know now that cats are spatially aware. They know where you at in the home. The experiment was performed by using recordings of their human’s voice. In one room the human and cat will be together. The cat then sees their human leave the room and go to another part of the house. Once the human is out of sight the recording is played in the room the human left. This caused the cat to react in a curious manner by trying to see where the human is because they use saw them leave. When the recording is played in a place where the cat perceives their human to be, there is no reaction. All is right in the world. So be careful, if cats do have murderous thoughts (I believe they don’t), they know where you are at all times (at least when you’re in the house).
I've been told this is a defense mechanism. You're rubbing the area over their vital organs they normally hide and protect from threats. They choose to be literally vulnerable with you and you did the one thing they were communicating that they trust you NOT to do. Also funny comic 😬
Cats have their own body language thats different from dogs (some individual cats may be different especially if raised with dogs)
Not all cats. My old man naps with me and HAS to have my hand resting on his belly to go to sleep. Not to mention I give him raspberries. And I kiss my little girl's adorable speckled belly, too.
Haven't had a cat do this to me. However had my cat CJ attack my toes while I slept. Dotn even know if the guys is till alive.
HAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAaaaaaaa.......*falls over and four housecats attack.
One of my kids would kill me for that, they other one says rub my belly more! I got crazy cats.
Lastly, we asked the artist if he had anything he wanted to share with us and our dear readers (Pandas).
"While appreciated, professional art skills are not always necessary! If you are an aspiring artist, your ideas are what makes your art unique. Whether to tell jokes or to send a message, your unique take is often what people like to see, so never stop trying!"
Ah that's me, the chick falling asleep with the phone on her face! I always smack myself in the head with my phone when I fall asleep
in Canada its winter in the morning, fall by later morning, spring at noon and summer all after noon
I do not fear the summer, where i have to shovel a huge amount of stuff in my brain. I fear what comes after the success.
That would be nice if life actually gave you that opportunity but it doesn't. You don't have time to take a step back
I love being alone though. I'm an introvert so life's been peachy. If only it wasn't for others getting sick I would like the whole situation.
Just think. Someday we'll have to explain these covid references to the youngins
Lol look at his drawing. Stick figure with boobies...that's about my drawing ability
