Good answer. Cannot believe my parents paid for my sisters b**b job when she was still a teen (18 or 19).
Yikes. My didn't even stop growing until my early 20s. Teen is way to soon to make that call.
Load More Replies...I think that there's a misunderstanding here. If my kid had a cleft palate I'd certainly seek treatment from a plastic surgeon. Maybe they're talking about cosmetic surgery. I had surgery for breast cancer from an oncoplastic surgeon, and it was brilliant, but NOT the same as a booob job or face-lift.
Maybe it's changed but it does say cosmetic surgery and I doubt they'd criticise parents for correcting cleft palates or other disfiguring conditions.
Load More Replies...There's cosmetic surgery, and cosmetic surgery. I had a RTA and hit the steering wheel with my face because the seat belt didn't work, I needed cosmetic surgery to ensure that my skull was covered by at least some skin. Some years later, I need cosmetic surgery to balance me after my mastectomy, which I won't get because I am now "too old" for it to be important.
I'm assuming it's referring to elective just for the anesthetic surgery.
Load More Replies...This isn't superficial at all. I'd love to hear a plastic surgeon thinks I'm hot.
Nothing superficial about that. Her health came first, then came restoring her body. The way you look is also a part of you. I‘m more shocked she was initially told, she‘d be lucky to look good in clothes at all 😵💫. Way to motivate a sick patient 😤.
Whoever told her they'd basically destroy her chest deserves to be slapped. This is the type of sh!t that leads to people hesitating about seeking further treatment.
This is how I would want my surgeon to feel about doing my surgery!
I can't imagine how they can make them functional... also don't they need a N ipple donor to do that?
Some people naturally have extra nîpples like the patient here. They just wanted to augment them like you might a normal breašt.
Load More Replies...I would love to quit smoking. I feel like a prisoner, enslaved to cigarettes. Can someone tell me how in the name of Zeus's Bütthole to stop. Please. 43 years, my lungs are tired.
I smoked for 30. 5 yrs ago I switched to vaping. My lung specialist says I saved myself from needing oxygen in the future. Even nicotine gum, or taping is "better" than actual cigarettes.
Load More Replies...Prob need good oxygenated blood to heal, smoking does not allow for that.
Load More Replies...My daughter loved watching the plastic surgery shows at 4 (she was overly curious and we would discuss and do research if necessary). I was always waiting for her daycare to call me after she explained a scarless b**b job.
I'm usually pretty good, but can somebody help me out on the censored words?
People don't want to hear that though, they want it NOW. Preferably without having to change anything else about how they live - they think looking a certain way will solve all their problems.
Youre right. I wanted my *perfect body* ate healthy and worked out but the only thing i couldn't do was grow a large bust. So i got them. Im very glad i did it, dont get me wrong. Not worrying or being insecure about something is freeing but i looked in the mirror and thought "everything else is the same" i had the same husband (the one i wanted) my anxiety and depression werent gone, i still argued with my mother more than we should. Im happy for my change but it really is only skin deep.

I think insurers should cover surgeries for excess skin removals for people who have lost a lot of weight -- not for cosmetic purposes specifically, but because of the health risks excess skin can cause due to sweat and dirt that gathers in folds and can cause serious infections. Insurers would say that it's up to you to keep yourself clean, but it can be quite difficult for some folks.
Plus if there is enough loose skin the weight of it can detach skin from muscle.
Load More Replies...DO NOT EVER go to any of those countries or anywhere south of the US border for any surgery. I talked to a lady that went with her friend to Mexico for bariatric surgery and they screwed up. They got back home, the lady had a raging infection and fever. Said her incisions were coming open & the Dr or hospital there wouldn't see her, they supposedly had good ratings. I transferred the friend to the triage nurse and they told her to go straight to the ER. The whole time I was thinking d**n. d**n. d**n.
That last line. Just saw a news item that something like 140 nurses and Drs are moving here from the states to get away from the nonsense and more are expected.
Nah. We start around $300,000. But plastic surgeons do make more. I would expect them to start in the $600,000 range.
Load More Replies...When I was discussing my options for tumour removal with my surgeon, I think I put a real blip in her curve. She's a general br3ast surgeon and does implants, reductions, etc. as well as mastectomies. She's going into all this detail about how we'll cut it out, then shape the b00b, then we'll have to match the other side... I was like, "Just chop it off and be done with it." I swear, she looked like she was going to faint! I don't think she'd ever encountered someone who just wanted the darn thing gone and didn't care if she was uneven. But her work was amazing - very straight scar, curving upwards where she removed the lymph node. And no, I don't wear a bra with a 'knitted knocker'. Because who cares. People can only tell if they know I had the mastectomy.
they censored it in the post so you can't be too careful.

There used to be a show called Botched where the plastic surgeons' primary focus was on correcting what other plastic surgeons had done. They said no to a lot of people with unrealistic expectations.
If she doesn't want reconstructive surgery, check out 'knitted knockers' - you can even get a pattern to DIY.
Can't upvote that enough. Chiropractors can k**l (not always, but there's enough documented medical evidence to support that statement)
Load More Replies...I am a natural DD. I have grooves in my shoulders, my breasts have gotten saggy, and the weight aggravates my spine problems. Due to multiple health issues reduction surgery is not an option. I can't understand why any woman would want breasts as large as some of the ones I've seen. Especially if you enjoy sports.
Yikes, I’m only a D and find they get in the way - and yes, the grooves. Lol. Did Drum Corps in my teens, cymbal line, and squashed or pinched my b00bs more than once on faster songs. I can’t imagine the damage I would have done if they were larger. Do you find giving hugs annoying sometimes? Like you're trying to lean from another postal code?
Load More Replies...I have implants because I had practically nothing after nursing babies and couldn't find bras or swim tops (size AA). I just wanted to look normal. At the consultation I said I wanted to be a C and they said, "Oh everybody regrets not going bigger." I'm like, I'm a small woman, bigger would be weird. During the surgery, my husband was brought in while he was filling my implants while I was out and the surgeon said, "So what do you think? Should we go bigger?" My husband said, "Not up to me! Do what she wanted!" I was so PO'ed when I found out. I have NEVER regretted not going bigger. I wouldn't mind having my original smallish B size now!
I had a tummy tuck and the surgeon strongly suggested Lipo at the same time. I'm so glad I listened to him.
My friend had tummy tuck w/lipo after her 2nd kid. Her flat tummy looked great, but it left a loooong scar across the almost entire width of her abdomen. I'm not sure how good the doctor was that she used (they came recommended and were not cheap) but that was enough to turn me off from that option! Especially after she gained the weight back about 5 years later...
And over time, even without any surgeries, one breast may end up being somewhat larger than the other.
I had a rhinoplasty. I just wanted to change the size, not the shape. The surgeon did a fantastic job and I still look like my late mom, which is why I wanted to keep the shape. (She was very much alive when I had my surgery, and told me afterwards she'd always wanted to do the same thing but was afraid.)
The word silicon isn't mentioned in this post. Neither is silicone.

I just realized about half of these were answered by Dr. Tony Youn. I love his YouTube channel!
The OPs are 9 years old... I wonder how things turned out for the patients and surgeons?
